1施洗約翰被殺（可6:14~29）那時，分封王希律聽見耶穌的名聲，
1At that season Herod the tetrarch heard the report concerning Jesus,
2就對臣僕說：“這人是施洗的約翰，他從死人中復活，所以他身上有行神蹟的能力。”
2and said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore do these powers work in him.
3原來希律為了他弟弟腓力的妻子希羅底的緣故，拘捕了約翰，把他捆綁，關在監裡，
3For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife.
4因為約翰多次告訴他：“你佔有她是不合理的。”
4For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.
5他想殺約翰，但又害怕群眾，因為他們都認為約翰是個先知。
5And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.
6到了希律生日的那天，希羅底的女兒在眾人面前跳舞，希律非常高興，
6But when Herod's birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced in the midst, and pleased Herod.
7就起誓答應她，無論求甚麼都給她。
7Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she should ask.
8她在母親的慫恿之下，說：“請把施洗的約翰的頭放在盤子上給我。”
8And she, being put forward by her mother, saith, Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.
9王就憂愁，但因為誓言和在座的賓客，就下令給她。
9And the king was grieved; but for the sake of his oaths, and of them that sat at meat with him, he commanded it to be given;
10他派人去，在監裡斬了約翰的頭，
10and he sent and beheaded John in the prison.
11把頭放在盤子上，拿來給那女孩子，她又帶給母親。
11And his head was brought on a platter, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.
12約翰的門徒前來，領了屍體，把它埋葬，然後去告訴耶穌。
12And his disciples came, and took up the corpse, and buried him; and they went and told Jesus.
13給五千人吃飽的神蹟（可6:32~44；路9:10~17；約6:1~13。參太15:32~38）耶穌聽見了，就離開那裡，獨自坐船到曠野去。群眾聽見了，就從各城步行來跟隨他。
13Now when Jesus heard [it], he withdrew from thence in a boat, to a desert place apart: and when the multitudes heard [thereof,] they followed him on foot from the cities.
14耶穌上了岸，看見一大群人，就憐憫他們，醫好了他們的病人。
14And he came forth, and saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, and healed their sick.
15黃昏的時候，門徒前來對他說：“這是曠野的地方，時間也不早了，請叫群眾散開，好讓他們往村裡去，買自己的食物吧。”
15And when even was come, the disciples came to him, saying, The place is desert, and the time is already past; send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food.
16耶穌回答：“他們用不著離開，你們給他們吃吧！”
16But Jesus said unto them, They have no need to go away; give ye them to eat.
17但門徒說：“我們這裡除了五個餅和兩條魚，甚麼也沒有。”
17And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
18他說：“拿過來給我。”
18And he said, Bring them hither to me.
19於是吩咐群眾坐在草地上，拿起那五個餅兩條魚，望著天，祝謝了；然後把餅擘開，遞給門徒，門徒又分給群眾。
19And he commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass; and he took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.
20大家都吃了，並且吃飽了，他們把剩下的零碎拾起來，裝滿了十二個籃子。
20And they all ate, and were filled: and they took up that which remained over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full.
21吃的人，除了婦女和孩子，約有五千。
21And they that did eat were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
22耶穌在海面上行走（可6:45~52；約6:15~21）耶穌立刻催門徒上船，叫他們先到對岸去，他卻留下來叫群眾散開。
22And straightway he constrained the disciples to enter into the boat, and to go before him unto the other side, till he should send the multitudes away.
23他解散了群眾，就獨自上山去禱告。到了晚上，他還是獨自一人在那裡。
23And after he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain apart to pray: and when even was come, he was there alone.
24那時門徒的船已經離岸數公里，因為逆風，被波浪沖擊。
24But the boat was now in the midst of the sea, distressed by the waves; for the wind was contrary.
25天快亮的時候（“天快亮的時候”原文作“夜裡四更天”），耶穌在海面上向他們走過去。
25And in the fourth watch of the night he came unto them, walking upon the sea.
26門徒見他在海面上行走，就很驚慌，說：“有鬼啊！”並且恐懼得大叫起來。
26And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a ghost; and they cried out for fear.
27耶穌立刻對他們說：“放心吧！是我，不要怕。”
27But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28彼得對他說：“主啊，如果是你，讓我在水面上到你那裡去。”
28And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto the upon the waters.
29他說：“來吧！”彼得就從船上下來，行在水面上，走向耶穌那裡去。
29And he said, Come. And Peter went down from the boat, and walked upon the waters to come to Jesus.
30但他一見風浪就害怕，快要沉下去的時候，就呼叫：“主啊！救我！”
30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.
31耶穌馬上伸手拉住他，對他說：“小信的人哪，為甚麼疑惑？”
31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and took hold of him, and saith unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32他們上了船，風就平靜了。
32And when they were gone up into the boat, the wind ceased.
33船上的人都拜他，說：“你真是 神的兒子。”
33And they that were in the boat worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
34治好革尼撒勒的病人（可6:53~56）他們過到對岸，來到革尼撒勒的地區。
34And when they had crossed over, they came to the land, unto Gennesaret.
35那地的人認出是耶穌，就把消息傳遍了那一帶。眾人把一切有病的人都帶來，
35And when the men of that place knew him, they sent into all that region round about, and brought unto him all that were sick,
36求耶穌讓他們只摸一摸他衣服的繸子，摸著的人就都痊愈了。
36and they besought him that they might only touch the border of his garment: and as many as touched were made whole.
