¹切勿受引誘事奉別神“你們中間如果有先知，或作夢的人興起來，給你顯示神蹟或奇事；（本節在《馬索拉抄本》為13:2）

¹If there arise in the midst of you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and he give you a sign or a wonder,

²他告訴你的神蹟和奇事應驗了，以致他對你說：‘我們去隨從別的、你不認識的神，事奉他們吧。’

²and the sign or the wonder come to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, “Let us go after other gods” (which you have not known) “and let us serve them”;

³你不可聽從那先知或作夢的人的話；因為耶和華你們的　神試驗你們，要知道你們是不是一心一意愛耶和華你們的　神。

³you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or to that dreamer of dreams: for Yahweh your God proves you, to know whether you love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

⁴你們要順從耶和華你們的　神，敬畏他，遵守他的誡命，聽從他的話，事奉他，緊靠他。

⁴You shall walk after Yahweh your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and you shall serve him, and cling to him.

⁵至於那先知，或作夢的人，你們要把他處死，因為他說了叛逆的話，叛逆了那領你們出埃及地，救贖你脫離為奴之家的耶和華你們的　神，要你離棄耶和華你的　神吩咐你走的道路。這樣你就把那惡從你們中間除掉了。

⁵That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he has spoken rebellion against Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to draw you aside out of the way which Yahweh your God commanded you to walk in. So you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.

⁶“你的同母兄弟或你的兒女，你懷中的妻子或視你如自己性命的朋友，如果暗中引誘你，說：‘我們去事奉別的神吧。’就是你和你的列祖向來不認識的，

⁶If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend, who is as your own soul, entice you secretly, saying, “Let us go and serve other gods,” which you have not known, you, nor your fathers;

⁷是你們周圍各族的神，無論是離你近的，或是離你遠的神；從地這邊直到地那邊的神，

⁷of the gods of the peoples who are around you, near to you, or far off from you, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth;

⁸你都不可依從他，也不可聽從他；你的眼不可顧惜他，你不可憐憫他，也不可袒護他；

⁸you shall not consent to him, nor listen to him; neither shall your eye pity him, neither shall you spare, neither shall you conceal him:

⁹總要把他殺死，你要先向他動手，然後全民才動手打死他。

⁹but you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.

¹⁰你要用石頭打死他，因為他要使你離棄那領你出埃及地，脫離為奴之家的耶和華你的　神。

¹⁰You shall stone him to death with stones, because he has sought to draw you away from Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

¹¹這樣，全以色列聽見了，必然害怕，就不會再在你們中間行這樣的惡了。

¹¹All Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall not do any more such wickedness as this is in the midst of you.

¹²“在耶和華你的　神賜給你居住的一座城中，如果你聽說

¹²If you shall hear tell concerning one of your cities, which Yahweh your God gives you to dwell there, saying,

¹³有些匪徒從你中間出來，把本城的居民引離，說：‘我們去事奉別的神吧。’那些神是你們素來不認識的；

¹³Certain base fellows are gone out from the midst of you, and have drawn away the inhabitants of their city, saying, “Let us go and serve other gods,” which you have not known;

¹⁴你就要調查、研究，仔細訪問，如果的確有這可厭惡的事行在你們中間，

¹⁴then you shall inquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is done in the midst of you,

¹⁵你就要用刀劍把那城裡的居民殺掉，把那城和城裡的一切，以及牲畜，都用刀劍完全毀滅。

¹⁵you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein and its livestock, with the edge of the sword.

¹⁶並且把從城裡掠奪的一切戰利品，都要收集在那城的廣場上，用火把城和在城裡掠奪的一切戰利品焚燒，獻給耶和華你的　神；那城就要永遠成為廢墟，不可再建造。

¹⁶You shall gather all its spoil into the midst of its street, and shall burn with fire the city, and all its spoil every whit, to Yahweh your God: and it shall be a heap forever; it shall not be built again.

¹⁷那當毀滅的物，一點也不可留在你手中，好使耶和華轉意不發烈怒，反而向你施恩，憐憫你，照著他向你的列祖所起的誓，使你的人數增多；

¹⁷Nothing of the devoted thing shall cling to your hand; that Yahweh may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and show you mercy, and have compassion on you, and multiply you, as he has sworn to your fathers;

¹⁸只要你聽從耶和華你的　神的話，遵守我今日吩咐你的一切誡命，實行耶和華你的　神看為正的事，就必這樣。”

¹⁸when you shall listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, to keep all his commandments which I command you this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh your God.
