24

1離婚再婚的條例“人娶了妻子,得著她以後,如果發現她有醜事,以致不喜悅她,他就可以給她寫休書,交在她手裡,叫她離開夫家;
1When a man takes a wife, and marries her, then it shall be, if she find no favor in his eyes, because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a bill of divorce, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2她離開夫家以後,就可以去再嫁別人。
2When she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.
3如果後夫又恨她,也給她寫休書,交在她手裡,叫她離開他的家;或者娶她為妻的後夫死了;
3If the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorce, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, who took her to be his wife;
4那麼,叫她離開的前夫,不可在她受了污辱以後,再娶她為妻,因為這在耶和華面前是可厭可惡的事;你不可使耶和華你的 神賜給你作產業的土地蒙受罪污。
4her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before Yahweh: and you shall not cause the land to sin, which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance.
5其他條例“如果人娶了新婦,不可從軍出征,也不可派他擔任甚麼公務,他可以在家賦閒一年,使他所娶的妻子快樂。
5When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business: he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.
6“不可拿人的磨,或是上磨石作抵押,因為這等於拿人的生命作抵押。
6No man shall take the mill or the upper millstone to pledge; for he takes a life in pledge.
7“如果發現有人拐帶了以色列人的一個兄弟,把他當作奴隸看待,或是把他賣了,那拐帶人的就要處死;這樣,你就把那惡從你中間除掉。
7If a man be found stealing any of his brothers of the children of Israel, and he deal with him as a slave, or sell him; then that thief shall die: so you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.
8“在大痲風的災病上,你要謹慎自己,照利未支派的祭司指教你們的一切,認真地謹守遵行;我怎樣吩咐了他們,你們就要怎樣謹守遵行。
8Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so you shall observe to do.
9你當記得你們出了埃及,在路上的時候,耶和華你的 神向米利暗所行的事。
9Remember what Yahweh your God did to Miriam, by the way as you came forth out of Egypt.
10“如果你借東西給你的鄰舍,不論所借的是甚麼,總不可走進他的家裡去拿抵押。
10When you do lend your neighbor any kind of loan, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge.
11你要站在外面,等那向你借貸的人把抵押拿出來給你。
11You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you do lend shall bring forth the pledge outside to you.
12他若是個窮人,你不可留他的抵押過夜。
12If he be a poor man, you shall not sleep with his pledge;
13到了日落的時候,你要把抵押品還給他,好使他可以用自己的衣服蓋著睡覺,他就給你祝福,這在耶和華你的 神面前,就算是你的義了。
13you shall surely restore to him the pledge when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his garment, and bless you: and it shall be righteousness to you before Yahweh your God.
14“困苦貧窮的雇工,無論是你的兄弟,或是寄居在你的地上你的城裡的,你都不可欺壓他。
14You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he be of your brothers, or of your foreigners who are in your land within your gates:
15你要當日給他工錢,不可等到日落,因為他貧窮,把心放在工錢上,免得他對你不滿而呼求耶和華,你就有罪了。
15in his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down on it; for he is poor, and sets his heart on it: lest he cry against you to Yahweh, and it be sin to you.
16“不可因兒子的罪處死父親,也不可因父親的罪處死兒子;各人要因自己的罪被處死。
16The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
17“你不可向寄居的和孤兒屈枉正直,也不可拿寡婦的衣服作抵押。
17You shall not deprive the foreigner, or the fatherless of justice, nor take a widow’s clothing in pledge;
18你要記住你在埃及作過奴僕,耶和華你的 神把你從那裡救贖出來;所以我吩咐你要遵行這話。
18but you shall remember that you were a bondservant in Egypt, and Yahweh your God redeemed you there: therefore I command you to do this thing.
19“你在田間收割莊稼的時候,如果遺留一捆在田裡,就不可再回去拾取,要留給寄居的、孤兒和寡婦;好使耶和華你的 神,在你手裡所辦的一切事上,賜福給你。
19When you reap your harvest in your field, and have forgot a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to get it: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow; that Yahweh your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
20你打橄欖樹以後,枝上剩下的不可再打,要留給寄居的、孤兒和寡婦。
20When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
21你收取葡萄園的葡萄以後,剩下的不可再摘,要留給寄居的、孤兒和寡婦。
21When you harvest your vineyard, you shall not glean it after yourselves: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
22你要記住你在埃及作過奴僕,所以我吩咐你遵行這話。”
22You shall remember that you were a bondservant in the land of Egypt: therefore I command you to do this thing.
