¹古列王下旨建造聖殿波斯王古列元年，耶和華為要應驗他藉耶利米的口所說的話，就激動波斯王古列的心靈，使他通令全國，傳達文告說：

¹Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of Yahweh “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Yahweh stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

²“波斯王古列這樣說：‘耶和華天上的　神已經把地上萬國賜給我。他指派我在猶大的耶路撒冷為他建造殿宇。

²“Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, ‘Yahweh, the God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he has commanded me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

³你們中間凡是他的子民，願　神與他同在的，都可以上猶大的耶路撒冷去，建造耶和華以色列的　神的殿，他是在耶路撒冷受敬拜的　神。

³Whoever there is among you of all his people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of Yahweh, the God of Israel (he is God), which is in Jerusalem.

⁴所有餘民，無論寄居在甚麼地方，那地方的人都要用金、銀、財物、牲畜幫助他，也要為在耶路撒冷　神的殿獻上甘心的禮物。’”

⁴Whoever is left, in any place where he lives, let the men of his place help him with silver, with gold, with goods, and with animals, besides the freewill offering for God’s house which is in Jerusalem.’”

⁵準備回歸於是，猶大和便雅憫的族長、祭司、利未人和所有被　神激動了心靈的人，都起來要上去，重建在耶路撒冷耶和華的殿。

⁵Then the heads of fathers’ households of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, even all whose spirit God had stirred to go up rose up to build the house of Yahweh which is in Jerusalem.

⁶他們四圍的人都用銀器、金子、財物、牲畜和珍貴的禮物協助他們，另外還有各種甘心奉獻的禮物。

⁶All those who were around them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with animals, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.

⁷古列王把耶和華殿裡的器皿拿出來，就是從前尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷拿來放在自己的神廟裡的。

⁷Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of Yahweh, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought out of Jerusalem, and had put in the house of his gods;

⁸波斯王古列命令司庫官米提利達把這些器皿拿出來，按數交給猶大的領袖設巴薩。

⁸even those, Cyrus king of Persia brought out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.

⁹器皿的數目是：金盤三十個、銀盤一千個、刀二十九把、

⁹This is the number of them: thirty platters of gold, one thousand platters of silver, twenty-nine knives,

¹⁰金碗三十個、次等銀碗四百一十個（“次等銀碗四百一十個”：本句意義難確定，或譯：“銀碗二千四百一十個”），其他的器皿一千件。

¹⁰thirty bowls of gold, silver bowls of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels one thousand.

¹¹全部的金銀器皿共有五千四百件。被擄的人從巴比倫上耶路撒冷去的時候，設巴薩把這一切器皿都帶上去。

¹¹All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. Sheshbazzar brought all these up, when the captives were brought up from Babylon to Jerusalem.
