1 神的兒子和人的女子人在地上開始增多，又生養女兒的時候，
1It happened, when men began to multiply on the surface of the ground, and daughters were born to them,
2 神的眾子看見人的女子美麗，就隨意挑選，娶作妻子。
2that God’s sons saw that men’s daughters were beautiful, and they took for themselves wives of all that they chose.
3耶和華說：“人既然是屬肉體的，我的靈就不永遠住在他裡面，但他的日子還有一百二十年。”
3Yahweh said, “My Spirit will not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; yet will his days be one hundred twenty years.”
4在那些日子，有巨人在地上； 神的兒子和人的女子結合，就生了上古英武有名的人物。
4The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when God’s sons came in to men’s daughters. They bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
5人類敗壞、 神滅世耶和華看見人在地上的罪惡很大，終日心裡思念的，盡都是邪惡的。
5Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6於是，耶和華後悔造人在地上，心中憂傷。
6Yahweh was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.
7耶和華說：“我要把我創造的人，從地上消滅；無論是人或牲畜，是昆蟲或是天空的飛鳥，我都要消滅，因為我後悔造了他們。”
7Yahweh said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the surface of the ground; man, along with animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.”
8只有挪亞在耶和華眼前蒙恩。
8But Noah found favor in Yahweh’s eyes.
9以下是挪亞的後代。挪亞是個義人，是當時一個完全人。挪亞和 神同行。
9This is the history of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noah walked with God.
10挪亞生了三個兒子，就是閃、含、雅弗。
10Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11當時，世界在 神面前敗壞了，地上滿了強暴。
11The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 神觀看大地，看見世界已經敗壞了；全人類在地上所行的都是敗壞的。
12God saw the earth, and saw that it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
13 神命挪亞建造方舟 神對挪亞說：“在我面前全人類的盡頭已經來到，因為地上由於他們的緣故滿了強暴。看哪，我要把他們和世界一起毀滅。
13God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before me, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14你要用歌斐木做一艘方舟。方舟裡面要做一些艙房；方舟的內外都要塗上瀝青。
14Make a ship of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ship, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch.
15你要這樣做方舟：方舟要長一百三十三公尺，寬二十二公尺，高十三公尺。
15This is how you shall make it. The length of the ship will be three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.
16方舟上面四周要做透光口，高四十四公寸；方舟的門要開在旁邊；方舟要分為上中下三層建造。
16You shall make a roof in the ship, and you shall finish it to a cubit upward. You shall set the door of the ship in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third levels.
17看哪，我要使洪水臨到地上，消滅天下的生物，就是有生氣的活物；在地上的都必定要死。
17I, even I, do bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.
18我要和你立約。你可以進入方舟；你和你的兒子、妻子和兒媳，都可以和你一同進入方舟。
18But I will establish my covenant with you. You shall come into the ship, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
19所有的活物，你要把每樣一對，就是一公一母，帶進方舟，好和你一同保全生命。
19Of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ship, to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female.
20飛鳥各從其類，牲畜各從其類，地上所有爬行的動物，各從其類，每樣一對，都要到你那裡來，好保全生命。
20Of the birds after their kind, of the livestock after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come to you, to keep them alive.
21你要拿各種可吃的食物，積存起來，好作你和牠們的食物。”
21Take with you of all food that is eaten, and gather it to yourself; and it will be for food for you, and for them.”
22挪亞就這樣作了； 神吩咐他的，他都照樣作了。
22Thus Noah did. According to all that God commanded him, so he did.
