1以色列拜偶像受譴責義人死亡，沒有人放在心上；虔誠人去世，也沒有人明白；義人去世，是脫離了禍患。
1The righteous perishes, and no man lays it to heart; and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil.
2行事為人正直的，死後必得進入平安，在他們的墳墓裡享安息。
2He enters into peace; they rest in their beds, each one who walks in his uprightness.
3但你們這些巫婦的兒子，姦夫和妓女的後裔啊！你們都走近這裡行姦淫吧！
3“But draw near here, you sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the prostitute.
4你們戲弄誰呢？你們張大嘴巴，伸長舌頭戲弄誰呢？你們不是悖逆的孩子嗎？不是虛謊的後裔嗎？
4Against whom do you sport yourselves? Against whom do you make a wide mouth, and stick out your tongue? Aren’t you children of disobedience, a seed of falsehood,
5你們在橡樹林中，在青翠樹下慾火焚心；在山谷間，在巖穴裡，宰殺自己的孩子作祭牲。
5you who inflame yourselves among the oaks, under every green tree; who kill the children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?
6在山谷中光滑的石頭裡有你的分；只有它們是你所要得的分！你也向它們澆了奠祭，獻上了供物。這些事我豈能容忍不報復呢？
6Among the smooth stones of the valley is your portion; they, they are your lot; you have even poured a drink offering to them. You have offered an offering. Shall I be appeased for these things?
7你在高高的山上安設你的床榻，又上到那裡去獻祭。
7On a high and lofty mountain you have set your bed; there also you went up to offer sacrifice.
8你在門後，在門框後，安設了外族神的記號；你遠離了我，裸露了自己，就上床去，又擴張你的床，你也與他們立約；你愛他們的床，看他們的下體（“下體”原文作“手”）。
8Behind the doors and the posts you have set up your memorial: for you have uncovered to someone besides me, and have gone up; you have enlarged your bed, and made you a covenant with them: you loved their bed where you saw it.
9你帶著油走到君王那裡，並且加多了你的香料，差派使者到遠方去，你甚至自己下到陰間去！
9You went to the king with oil, and increased your perfumes, and sent your ambassadors far off, and debased yourself even to Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. .
10你因路途遙遠而困乏，卻不說：“沒有希望了！”因為你找著了生命的力量，所以你不覺得疲倦。
10You were wearied with the length of your way; yet you didn’t say, ‘It is in vain.’ You found a reviving of your strength; therefore you weren’t faint.
11你怕誰？你因誰而懼怕，以致你對我說謊呢？你不記念我，也不把我放在心上，是不是因為我長久緘默，你就不懼怕我呢？
11“Of whom have you been afraid and in fear, that you lie, and have not remembered me, nor laid it to your heart? Haven’t I held my peace even of long time, and you don’t fear me?
12我要說明你的公義和你所作的，但它們都必與你無益。
12I will declare your righteousness; and as for your works, they shall not profit you.
13你呼求的時候，讓你所收集的偶像拯救你吧！但一陣風要把它們全都颳走，一口氣要把它們全部吹去。然而那投靠我的，必承受地土，得著我的聖山作產業。
13When you cry, let those who you have gathered deliver you; but the wind shall take them, a breath shall carry them all away: but he who takes refuge in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain.”
14謙卑者與作惡者的分別必有人說：“你們要填高，要填高，要修平道路；把障礙物從我子民的路上除掉。”
14He will say, “Cast up, cast up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.”
15因為那至高無上、永遠存在、他名為聖的這樣說：“雖然我住在至高至聖的地方，卻與心靈痛悔和謙卑的人同在，要使謙卑人的靈甦醒，也使痛悔人的心甦醒。
15For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
16我必不永遠爭辯，也不長久發怒，因為這樣，人的靈，就是我所造的人，在我面前就要發昏。
16For I will not contend forever, neither will I be always angry; for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls who I have made.
17因他貪婪的罪孽，我發怒了；我擊打他，向他掩面，並且發怒，他仍然隨著自己的心意背道。
17For the iniquity of his covetousness was I angry, and struck him; I hid myself and was angry; and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.
18他的道路，我看見了，我卻要醫治他，引導他，把安慰賞賜他和他的哀悼者。
18I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.
19我創造嘴唇的果子：平安，平安，歸給遠處的人，也歸給近處的人。”耶和華說：“我要醫治他。”
19I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace, to him who is far off and to him who is near,” says Yahweh; “and I will heal them.”
20惡人卻像翻騰的海，不能平靜，海中的水不住翻起污穢和淤泥來。
20But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it can’t rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt.
21我的 神說：“惡人必沒有平安。”
21“There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.”
