1預言以色列必歸故土耶和華有話臨到耶利米，說：
1The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,
2“耶和華以色列的 神這樣說：‘你要把我對你說過的一切話都寫在書上。
2Thus speaks Yahweh, the God of Israel, saying, Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.
3看哪！日子快到（這是耶和華的宣告），我必使我的子民以色列和猶大被擄的人歸回。’耶和華說：‘我必使他們回到我賜給他們列祖之地，他們要重得這地為業。’”
3For, behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will turn again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, says Yahweh; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
4以下是耶和華論到以色列和猶大所說的話：
4These are the words that Yahweh spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
5“耶和華這樣說：‘我聽見了戰慄喊叫的聲音，一片恐慌，沒有平安。
5For thus says Yahweh: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.
6你們去問問，去看看：男人會生孩子嗎？為甚麼我看見所有的壯漢，都用手抱著腹部，像正在生產的婦人，每張臉都變成蒼白呢？
6Ask now, and see whether a man does travail with child: why do I see every man with his hands on his waist, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
7哀哉！那日大而可畏，無可比擬；這是雅各受苦的時期，但他必被救出來。’”
7Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
8“萬軍之耶和華宣告說：‘當那日，我必從他們（“他們”按照《馬索拉抄本》應作“你”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯）的頸項上折斷仇敵的軛，扯斷他們（“他們”按照《馬索拉抄本》應作“你”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯）的繩套；他們必不再作外族人的奴隸。
8It shall come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of Armies, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and will burst your bonds; and strangers shall no more make him their bondservant;
9他們卻要事奉耶和華他們的 神，和我為他們興起的大衛王。
9but they shall serve Yahweh their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.
10所以，我的僕人雅各啊！你不要懼怕。’這是耶和華的宣告。‘以色列啊！你不要驚慌。因為我必拯救你從遠方回來，必拯救你的後裔脫離他們被擄之地。雅各必歸回，得享平靜安逸，沒有人可以使他害怕。
10Therefore don’t you be afraid, O Jacob my servant, says Yahweh; neither be dismayed, Israel: for, behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.
11因為我與你同在，要拯救你；我要消滅我趕散你去的列國，卻必不消滅你。我要按公正懲治你，決不能免你受罰。’”這是耶和華的宣告。
11For I am with you, says Yahweh, to save you: for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.
12“耶和華這樣說：‘你的損傷無法痊愈，你的創傷不能醫治。
12For thus says Yahweh, Your hurt is incurable, and your wound grievous.
13沒有人為你申訴，你的傷處無藥可救，你不得醫治。
13There is none to plead your cause, that you may be bound up: you have no healing medicines.
14你所有的盟友都忘記了你，不再關心你；我擊打了你，好像仇敵擊打你，又好像殘暴的人懲罰你一樣；都因你的罪孽甚多，你的罪惡無數。
14All your lovers have forgotten you; they don’t seek you: for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased.
15你為甚麼因你的損傷哀叫呢？你的病痛無法痊愈。我這樣對你，是因你的罪孽甚多，你的罪惡無數。
15Why do you cry for your hurt? Your pain is incurable: for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased, I have done these things to you.
16但是，吞吃你的，必被吞吃；你所有的敵人全都要被擄走；搶掠你的，必成為被搶掠之物；掠奪你的，我必使他們成為被掠奪之物。
16Therefore all those who devour you shall be devoured; and all your adversaries, everyone of them, shall go into captivity; and those who despoil you shall be a spoil, and all who prey on you will I give for a prey.
17雖然人都說你是被放逐的，是沒有人關心的錫安；我卻必使你康復，醫治你的創傷。’”這是耶和華的宣告。
17For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh; because they have called you an outcast, saying, It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.
18“耶和華這樣說：‘看哪！我必復興雅各的帳棚，也必憐憫他的居所；城市必在廢墟上重建，堡壘必立在原來的地點上。
18Thus says Yahweh: Behold, I will turn again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have compassion on his dwelling places; and the city shall be built on its own hill, and the palace shall be inhabited in its own way.
19必有感謝的歌聲，和歡笑的聲音從其中發出來。我必使他們人數增多，不會減少；我必使他們得尊榮，不再被人輕看。
19Out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20他們的子孫必像以前一樣蒙恩，他們的國家必在我面前堅立；我必懲罰所有壓迫他們的人。
20Their children also shall be as before, and their congregation shall be established before me; and I will punish all who oppress them.
21惡人受罰他們的元首必是他們自己的人，他們的統治者必出自他們中間；我必使他近前來，他也必親近我，不然，誰敢冒生命的危險來親近我呢？’這是耶和華的宣告。
21Their prince shall be of themselves, and their ruler shall proceed from their midst; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach to me: for who is he who has had boldness to approach to me? says Yahweh.
22‘你們要作我的子民，我要作你們的 神。’”
22You shall be my people, and I will be your God.
23看哪！耶和華的旋風，在震怒中發出，是橫掃的狂風，必捲到惡人的頭上。
23Behold, the storm of Yahweh, his wrath, has gone forth, a sweeping storm: it shall burst on the head of the wicked.
24耶和華的烈怒必不轉消，直到他作成和實現他心中的計劃。在末後的日子，你們就會明白這事。
24The fierce anger of Yahweh will not return, until he has executed, and until he has performed the intentions of his heart. In the latter days you will understand it.
