¹耶路撒冷失陷猶大王西底家第九年十月，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒率領他的全軍來攻擊耶路撒冷，把城圍困起來。

¹It happened when Jerusalem was taken, (in the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem, and besieged it;

²西底家第十一年四月九日，城被攻破。

²in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, the ninth day of the month, a breach was made in the city),

³巴比倫王所有的將領：尼甲．沙利薛、三甲．尼波、大臣（“大臣”的本意不明確）撒西金、術士長（“術士長”的本意不明確）尼甲．沙利薛，以及巴比倫王所有其餘的將領，都進城，坐在中門。

³that all the princes of the king of Babylon came in, and sat in the middle gate, Nergal Sharezer, Samgarnebo, Sarsechim, Rabsaris, Nergal Sharezer, Rabmag, with all the rest of the princes of the king of Babylon.

⁴君王被擒猶大王西底家和所有的軍兵看見了他們，就逃跑，在夜間逃出城外，經過王的花園，穿過兩道城牆中間的門，直往亞拉巴的路上走去。

⁴It happened that, when Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king’s garden, through the gate between the two walls; and he went out toward the Arabah.

⁵但迦勒底人的軍隊追趕他們，在耶利哥的原野上追上了西底家，把他拿住，帶到哈馬地的利比拉去見巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒；尼布甲尼撒就宣判他的罪狀。

⁵But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; and he gave judgment on him.

⁶巴比倫王在利比拉，當著西底家眼前殺了他的眾子；巴比倫王也殺了猶大所有的顯貴，

⁶Then the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also the king of Babylon killed all the nobles of Judah.

⁷並且把西底家的眼睛弄瞎了，用銅鍊鎖住他，把他帶到巴比倫去。

⁷Moreover he put out Zedekiah’s eyes, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.

⁸臣民被擄迦勒底人放火焚燒王宮和民房，又拆毀了耶路撒冷的城牆。

⁸The Chaldeans burned the king’s house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and broke down the walls of Jerusalem.

⁹城裡剩下的人民，和那些已經向巴比倫王投降的人，以及其餘的人民，都被護衛長尼布撒拉旦擄到巴比倫去。

⁹Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive into Babylon the residue of the people who remained in the city, the deserters also who fell away to him, and the residue of the people who remained.

¹⁰但護衛長尼布撒拉旦把民中一些一無所有的窮人留在猶大地，同時把葡萄園和田地分給他們。

¹⁰But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, who had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time.

¹¹巴比倫王善待耶利米巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒提到耶利米，吩咐護衛長尼布撒拉旦說：

¹¹Now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon commanded Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard concerning Jeremiah, saying,

¹²“你把他帶去，好好照顧他，切不可傷害他；他對你怎樣說，你就給他照辦。”

¹²Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do to him even as he shall tell you.

¹³於是護衛長尼布撒拉旦、大臣（“大臣”的本意不明確）尼布沙斯班、術士長（“術士長”的本意不明確）尼甲．沙利薛，以及巴比倫王所有的大臣都派人去，

¹³So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushazban, Rabsaris, and Nergal Sharezer, Rabmag, and all the chief officers of the king of Babylon;

¹⁴把耶利米從衛兵的院子裡提出來，交給沙番的孫子、亞希甘的兒子基大利，叫他帶耶利米回家去。這樣，耶利米就住在人民中間。

¹⁴they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the guard, and committed him to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he lived among the people.

¹⁵耶和華應許拯救以伯．米勒耶利米還監禁在衛兵的院子裡的時候，耶和華的話臨到他，說：

¹⁵Now the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, while he was shut up in the court of the guard, saying,

¹⁶“你去告訴古實人以伯．米勒說：‘萬軍之耶和華以色列的　神這樣說：看哪！我必在這城實現我的話，降禍不降福；到那日，這一切都必在你面前實現。

¹⁶Go, and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring my words on this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished before you in that day.

¹⁷但到了那日，我必拯救你；你必不至交在你所懼怕的人手裡。’這是耶和華的宣告。

¹⁷But I will deliver you in that day, says Yahweh; and you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid.

¹⁸‘因為我必定搭救你；你必不會倒在刀下，必可以撿回自己的性命，因為你信靠我。’”這是耶和華的宣告。

¹⁸For I will surely save you, and you shall not fall by the sword, but your life shall be for a prey to you; because you have put your trust in me, says Yahweh.
