1耶路撒冷的罪惡“你們去走遍耶路撒冷的街道，到處觀察留意，又在城的廣場上尋覓；如果能找到一個行正義、求誠實的人，我就赦免這城。
1“Run back and forth through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places of it, if you can find a man, if there are any who does justly, who seeks truth; and I will pardon her.
2城裡的人雖然指著永活的耶和華起誓，其實，他們起的誓是假的。”
2Though they say, ‘As Yahweh lives;’ surely they swear falsely.”
3耶和華啊！你的眼目不是要看誠實的事嗎？你擊打他們，他們卻不覺得傷痛；你摧毀他們，他們仍不肯接受管教。他們板著臉，臉皮比磐石還硬，總不肯回轉。
3O Yahweh, don’t your eyes look on truth? You have stricken them, but they were not grieved. You have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction. They have made their faces harder than a rock. They have refused to return.
4我說：“這些人只是貧窮小民，為人愚昧；他們不曉得耶和華的道路，也不明白他們 神的法則。
4Then I said, “Surely these are poor. They are foolish; for they don’t know the way of Yahweh, nor the law of their God.
5我要親自去見那些權貴領袖，跟他們談談；因為他們曉得耶和華的道路，也明白他們 神的法則。”誰知他們竟一起把軛折斷，掙脫繩索。
5I will go to the great men, and will speak to them; for they know the way of Yahweh, and the law of their God.” But these with one accord have broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.
6因此，獅子必從林中出來襲擊他們，曠野的豺狼要殺害他們，豹子在他們的城邊窺伺，出城的都必被撕碎；因為他們的過犯眾多，背道的事也無法數算。
6Therefore a lion out of the forest shall kill them, a wolf of the evenings shall destroy them, a leopard shall watch against their cities; everyone who goes out there shall be torn in pieces; because their transgressions are many, and their backsliding is increased.
7“為甚麼我要赦免你？你的兒女離棄我，指著那些不是神的起誓。我使他們飽足，他們卻去行淫，一起擠在妓院裡。
7“How can I pardon you? Your children have forsaken me, and sworn by what are no gods. When I had fed them to the full, they committed adultery, and assembled themselves in troops at the prostitutes’ houses.
8他們像飽食的馬，情慾奔放，各向別人的妻子嘶叫。
8They were as fed horses roaming at large: everyone neighed after his neighbor’s wife.
9我因這些事怎能不施行懲罰呢？像這樣的國家，我怎能不親自報復呢？”這是耶和華的宣告。
9Shouldn’t I punish them for these things?” says Yahweh; “and shouldn’t my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
10“你們要走進她的葡萄園（“葡萄園”原文作“葡萄樹的行列”）裡施行毀壞，但不可毀滅她的枝子，因為它們不屬耶和華。
10“Go up on her walls, and destroy; but don’t make a full end. Take away her branches; for they are not Yahweh’s.
11以色列家和猶大家，待我實在太奸詐了。”這是耶和華的宣告。
11For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me,” says Yahweh.
12他們不信耶和華，說：“他不會作甚麼，災禍必不臨到我們，我們也不會看見刀劍和饑荒。
12They have denied Yahweh, and said, “It is not he; neither shall evil come on us; neither shall we see sword nor famine.
13先知不過是一陣風，主的道也不在他們裡面；他們所說的必臨到他們身上。”
13The prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them. Thus shall it be done to them.”
14因此，耶和華萬軍之 神這樣說：“因他們說了這話，我必使我的話在你口中成為火，使這人民成為柴，火要把他們吞滅。
14Therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Armies, “Because you speak this word, behold, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
15以色列家啊！我必使一國從遠方來攻擊你們。”這是耶和華的宣告。“那國歷久不衰，從古就有；他們的言語你們不懂得，他們所說的你們不明白。
15Behold, I will bring a nation on you from far, house of Israel,” says Yahweh. “It is a mighty nation. It is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you don’t know, neither understand what they say.
16他們的箭囊像敞開的墳墓，他們盡都是勇士。
16Their quiver is an open tomb, they are all mighty men.
17他們必吞滅你們的莊稼和糧食，吞滅你的兒女，你們的羊群牛群，以及你們的葡萄和無花果；他們也必用刀劍毀壞你們所倚仗的堅固城。
17They shall eat up your harvest, and your bread, which your sons and your daughters should eat. They shall eat up your flocks and your herds. They shall eat up your vines and your fig trees. They shall beat down your fortified cities, in which you trust, with the sword.
18就是到了那時，我也不把你們完全毀滅。”這是耶和華的宣告。
18“But even in those days,” says Yahweh, “I will not make a full end with you.
19“將來如果有人問：‘耶和華我們的 神，為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？’你就要對他們說：‘你們怎樣離棄我，在你們的土地上事奉外族人的神，你們也要在不屬你們的土地上照樣服事外族人。’”
19It will happen, when you say, ‘Why has Yahweh our God done all these things to us?’ Then you shall say to them, ‘Just like you have forsaken me, and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’
20 神的警告你們要在雅各家宣告這事，在猶大傳揚，說：
20“Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,
21“愚昧無知的民哪！你們有眼不能看，有耳不能聽；你們應當聽這話：
21‘Hear now this, foolish people, and without understanding; who have eyes, and don’t see; who have ears, and don’t hear:
22‘你們連我都不懼怕嗎？在我面前你們也不戰兢嗎？’這是耶和華的宣告。‘我以沙作海的疆界，作永遠的界限，海就不能越過；波浪翻騰，卻不能漫過；怒濤澎湃，仍無法逾越。
22Don’t you fear me?’ says Yahweh ‘Won’t you tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it can’t pass it? and though its waves toss themselves, yet they can’t prevail; though they roar, yet they can’t pass over it.’
23可是這人民，竟存著頑梗悖逆的心；背我而去。’
23“But this people has a revolting and a rebellious heart; they have revolted and gone.
24他們心裡也不想想：‘我們應當敬畏耶和華我們的 神，他按時賜雨，就是秋雨春霖，又為我們保存定時收割的節令。’
24Neither do they say in their heart, ‘Let us now fear Yahweh our God, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season; who preserves to us the appointed weeks of the harvest.’
25你們的罪孽使這些都離開了，你們的罪惡剝奪了你們的幸福。
25“Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withheld good from you.
26在我的子民中發現了惡人，他們好像捕鳥的人蹲伏窺探，裝置網羅捕捉人。
26For among my people are found wicked men. They watch, as fowlers lie in wait. They set a trap. They catch men.
27籠中怎樣滿了雀鳥，他們的屋裡也滿了詭詐；他們就因此財雄勢大。
27As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit. Therefore they have become great, and grew rich.
28他們肥胖光潤，作盡各種壞事；他們不為人辯護，不替孤兒辨屈，使他們獲益，也不為窮人伸冤。
28They have grown fat. They shine; yes, they excell in deeds of wickedness. They don’t plead the cause, the cause of the fatherless, that they may prosper; and they don’t judge the right of the needy.
29我因這些事怎能不施行懲罰呢？像這樣的國家，我怎能不親自報復呢？”這是耶和華的宣告。
29“Shall I not punish for these things?” says Yahweh. “Shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
30“恐怖駭人的事在國中發生了。
30“An astonishing and horrible thing has happened in the land.
31先知說假預言，祭司憑己意把持權柄。我的子民竟喜愛這樣，到了結局你們怎麼辦呢？”
31The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own authority; and my people love to have it so. What will you do in the end of it?
