1預言耶路撒冷的敗壞“便雅憫人哪！趕快逃命，離開耶路撒冷。你們要在提哥亞吹角，在伯．哈基琳升烽火；因為災禍和嚴重的毀滅，已從北方迫近。
1“Flee for safety, you children of Benjamin, out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and raise up a signal on Beth Haccherem; for evil looks forth from the north, and a great destruction.
2美麗高貴的錫安居民（“居民”原文作“女子”），我必除滅你們。
2The comely and delicate one, the daughter of Zion, will I cut off.
3牧人必帶著他們的羊群，來到錫安那裡，在城的四圍支搭帳棚，各在自己的地方分別牧放羊群。”
3Shepherds with their flocks shall come to her; they shall pitch their tents against her all around; they shall feed everyone in his place.”
4“你們要備戰攻擊她！起來！我們趁著正午上去。唉！可惜日漸西沉，暮影拖長了！
4“Prepare war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe to us! For the day declines, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.
5起來！我們趁著夜間上去，毀壞她的堡壘。”
5Arise, and let us go up by night, and let us destroy her palaces.”
6因為萬軍之耶和華這樣說：“砍下她的樹木，築壘攻打耶路撒冷；她是那該受懲罰的城，其中盡是欺壓的事。
6For Yahweh of Armies said, “Cut down trees, and cast up a mound against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.
7井怎樣湧出水來，這城也怎樣湧出惡來；城中常常聽到強暴和毀滅的事，在我面前不斷有病患與創傷。
7As a well casts forth its waters, so she casts forth her wickedness: violence and destruction is heard in her; before me continually is sickness and wounds.
8耶路撒冷啊！應當受警戒，免得我的心與你疏遠，免得我使你荒涼，成為無人居住之地。”
8Be instructed, Jerusalem, lest my soul be alienated from you; lest I make you a desolation, a land not inhabited.”
9萬軍之耶和華這樣說：“任憑他們像摘淨葡萄一樣對待以色列剩下的人；你要像摘葡萄的人，向枝子伸手，摘了又摘。”
9Thus says Yahweh of Armies, “They shall thoroughly glean the remnant of Israel like a vine. Turn again your hand as a grape gatherer into the baskets.”
10我可以向誰說話，向誰警告，使他們可以聽從呢？他們的耳朵未受割禮，不能聽聞；看哪！他們以耶和華的話為羞辱，一點也不喜歡。
10To whom shall I speak and testify, that they may hear? Behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they can’t listen. Behold, the word of Yahweh has become a reproach to them. They have no delight in it.
11因此，我心裡充滿耶和華的忿怒，無法容忍。“你要把我的忿怒向街上的孩童傾倒，又傾在聯群集結的年輕人身上。夫妻一起被捉住，年老的、壽高的也不例外。
11Therefore I am full of the wrath of Yahweh. I am weary with holding in. “Pour it out on the children in the street, and on the assembly of young men together; for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him who is full of days.
12他們的房屋、田地與妻子，都要一起轉歸別人；因為我要伸手，攻擊這地的居民。”這是耶和華的宣告。
12Their houses shall be turned to others, their fields and their wives together; for I will stretch out my hand on the inhabitants of the land, says Yahweh.”
13“他們從最小的到最大的，個個都貪圖不義之財；從先知到祭司，全都行事詭詐。
13“For from their least even to their greatest, everyone is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even to the priest, everyone deals falsely.
14他們草率地醫治我子民（“我子民”原文作“我子民的女子”）的損傷，說：‘平安了！平安了！’其實沒有平安。”
14They have healed also the hurt of my people superficially, saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ when there is no peace.
15耶和華說：“他們行了可憎的事，本應覺得羞愧，可是他們一點羞愧都沒有，恬不知恥。因此他們必仆倒在倒下的人中間，我懲罰他們的時候，他們必倒下來。”
15Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; at the time that I visit them, they shall be cast down,” says Yahweh.
16耶和華這樣說：“你們要站在路上察看，尋訪遠古的路徑，看哪一條是美善的路，就走在其中；這樣，你們心裡就必得安息。他們卻說：‘我們不走在其中。’
16Thus says Yahweh, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, ‘Where is the good way?’ and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
17我設立守望的人照管你們，說：‘你們要留心聽號角的聲音！’他們卻說：‘我們不聽！’
17I set watchmen over you, saying, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We will not listen!’
18列國啊！因此你們要聽。以色列會眾啊！要曉得他們將遭遇的。
18Therefore hear, you nations, and know, congregation, what is among them.
19大地啊，要聽！我必使災禍臨到這人民，這是他們的意圖帶來的結果；因為他們沒有留心聽我的話，我的律法他們也棄絕了。
19Hear, earth! Behold, I will bring evil on this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not listened to my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it.
20從示巴來的乳香，從遠地出的菖蒲，獻給我有甚麼益處呢？你們的燔祭不蒙悅納，你們的祭祀我不喜悅。”
20To what purpose comes there to me frankincense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices pleasing to me.”
21因此，耶和華這樣說：“我要把絆腳石放在這人民的前面，他們父子一起在其上絆倒，鄰舍與朋友也都滅亡。”
21Therefore thus says Yahweh, “Behold, I will lay stumbling blocks before this people. The fathers and the sons together shall stumble against them. The neighbor and his friend shall perish.”
22耶和華這樣說：“看哪！有一個民族從北方之地而來，有一大國被激動從地極來到。
22Thus says Yahweh, “Behold, a people comes from the north country. A great nation shall be stirred up from the uttermost parts of the earth.
23他們緊握弓和槍，性情殘忍，毫無憐憫；他們的聲音像海洋怒吼；錫安的居民（“居民”原文作“女子”）哪！他們騎著戰馬，在戰場上如同一人，列陣攻擊你們。”
23They take hold of bow and spear. They are cruel, and have no mercy. Their voice roars like the sea, and they ride on horses, everyone set in array, as a man to the battle, against you, daughter of Zion.”
24我們聽到有關他們的消息，手就發軟；痛苦緊緊抓住我們，我們疼痛好像正在生產的婦人。
24We have heard its report; our hands become feeble: anguish has taken hold of us, and pains as of a woman in labor.
25你們不要出到田野去，也不要在路上走，因為四圍有仇敵的刀劍和驚嚇。
25Don’t go forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and terror, are on every side.
26我的同胞（“同胞”原文作“人民的女子”）啊！應當披上麻布，在灰塵中打滾，悲哀如喪獨生子，號咷痛哭，因為有行毀滅的會突然攻擊我們。
26Daughter of my people, clothe yourself with sackcloth, and wallow in ashes! Mourn, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation; for the destroyer shall suddenly come on us.
27“我使你在我子民中作鑒辨和試驗的，好讓你查察、鑒別他們的行徑。”
27“I have made you a tester of metals and a fortress among my people; that you may know and try their way.
28他們都是十分悖逆的人，到處搬弄是非。他們是銅是鐵，他們都是敗壞的。
28They are all grievous rebels, going about with slanders; they are brass and iron: they all of them deal corruptly.
29風箱猛烈地吹，鉛在火中銷熔；他們煉而又煉，徒勞無功，因為邪惡的仍未除去。
29The bellows blow fiercely; the lead is consumed of the fire: in vain do they go on refining; for the wicked are not plucked away.
30人要稱他們為被棄的銀渣，因為耶和華把他們棄絕了。
30Men will call them rejected silver, because Yahweh has rejected them.”
