¹耶穌受試探（可1:12~13；路4:1~13）隨後，耶穌被聖靈帶到曠野，受魔鬼的試探。

¹Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

²耶穌禁食了四十晝夜，就餓了，

²When he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry afterward.

³試探者前來對他說：“你若是　神的兒子，就吩咐這些石頭變成食物吧！”

³The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

⁴耶穌回答：“經上記著：‘人活著，不是單靠食物，更要靠　神口裡所出的一切話。’”

⁴But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’” Deuteronomy 8:3

⁵隨後，魔鬼帶耶穌進了聖城，使他站在殿頂上，

⁵Then the devil took him into the holy city. He set him on the pinnacle of the temple,

⁶對他說：“你若是　神的兒子，就跳下去吧！因為經上記著：‘　神為了你，會吩咐自己的使者用手托住你，免得你的腳碰到石頭。’”

⁶and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, ‘He will put his angels in charge of you.’ and, ‘On their hands they will bear you up, so that you don’t dash your foot against a stone.’” Psalm 91:11-12

⁷耶穌對他說：“經上又記著：‘不可試探主你的　神。’”

⁷Jesus said to him, “Again, it is written, ‘You shall not test the Lord, your God.’” Deuteronomy 6:16

⁸最後，魔鬼帶耶穌上了一座極高的山，把世界各國和各國的榮華都指給他看。

⁸Again, the devil took him to an exceedingly high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory.

⁹並且對他說：“你只要跪下來拜我，我就把這一切都給你。”

⁹He said to him, “I will give you all of these things, if you will fall down and worship me.”

¹⁰但耶穌說：“撒但，走開！經上記著：‘當拜主你的　神，單要事奉他。’”

¹⁰Then Jesus said to him, “Get behind me, TR and NU read “Go away” instead of “Get behind me” Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’” Deuteronomy 6:13

¹¹於是魔鬼離開了耶穌，有天使前來服事他。

¹¹Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and served him.

¹²耶穌在加利利傳道（可1:14~20；路4:14~15，5:1~11，6:17~19；約1:35~42）耶穌聽見約翰被捕，就往加利利去。

¹²Now when Jesus heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee.

¹³他又離開拿撒勒，往西布倫和拿弗他利境內近海的迦百農去，住在那裡，

¹³Leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,

¹⁴為了要應驗以賽亞先知所說的：

¹⁴that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,

¹⁵“西布倫地、拿弗他利地，沿海之路，約旦河外，外族人的加利利啊！

¹⁵“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,

¹⁶住在黑暗中的人民，看見了大光；死亡幽暗之地的居民，有光照亮他們。”

¹⁶the people who sat in darkness saw a great light, to those who sat in the region and shadow of death, to them light has dawned.” Isaiah 9:1-2

¹⁷從那時起，耶穌就開始傳道，說：“天國近了，你們應當悔改。”

¹⁷From that time, Jesus began to preach, and to say, “Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

¹⁸耶穌在加利利海邊行走的時候，看見兄弟二人，就是名叫彼得的西門和他的弟弟安得烈，正在把網撒到海裡去；他們是漁夫。

¹⁸Walking by the sea of Galilee, he TR reads “Jesus” instead of “he” saw two brothers: Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

¹⁹耶穌就對他們說：“來跟從我，我要使你們作得人的漁夫。”

¹⁹He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”

²⁰他們立刻撇下網，跟從了他。

²⁰They immediately left their nets and followed him.

²¹耶穌又往前走，看見另一對兄弟，就是西庇太的兒子雅各和約翰，正和父親西庇太在船上整理魚網，他就呼召他們。

²¹Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them.

²²他們立刻離了船，別了父親，跟從了耶穌。

²²They immediately left the boat and their father, and followed him.

²³耶穌走遍加利利，在各會堂裡教導人，宣揚天國的福音，醫治民間各種疾病、各種病症。

²³Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

²⁴他的名聲傳遍了敘利亞全地，人們就把一切患病的，就是患各種疾病、疼痛、鬼附、癲癇、癱瘓的，都帶到他面前，他就醫好他們。

²⁴The report about him went out into all Syria. They brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them.

²⁵於是有許多人從加利利、低加波利、耶路撒冷、猶太和約旦河東來跟從耶穌。

²⁵Great multitudes from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and from beyond the Jordan followed him.
