¹施捨不可張揚“你們小心，不要在眾人面前行你們的義，讓他們看見；如果這樣，就得不到你們天父的賞賜。

¹ “Be careful that you don’t do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

²因此你施捨的時候，不可到處張揚，好像偽君子在會堂和街上所作的一樣，以博取眾人的稱讚。我實在告訴你們，他們已經得了他們的賞賜。

² Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.

³你施捨的時候，不要讓左手知道右手所作的，

³ But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does,

⁴好使你的施捨是在隱密中行的。你父在隱密中察看，必定報答你。

⁴ so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

⁵如何禱告（路11:2~4）“你們祈禱的時候，不可像偽君子；他們喜歡在會堂和路口站著祈禱，好讓人看見。我實在告訴你們，他們已經得了他們的賞賜。

⁵ “When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward.

⁶但你祈禱的時候，要進到密室裡去，關上門，向在隱密中的父祈禱。你父在隱密中察看，必定報答你。

⁶ But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

⁷你們祈禱的時候，不可重複無意義的話，像教外人一樣，他們以為話多了就蒙垂聽。

⁷ In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.

⁸你們不可像他們，因為在你們祈求以先，你們的父已經知道你們的需要了。

⁸ Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him.

⁹所以你們要這樣祈禱：‘我們在天上的父，願你的名被尊為聖，

⁹ Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.

¹⁰願你的國降臨，願你的旨意成就在地上，如同在天上一樣。

¹⁰ Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.

¹¹我們每天所需的食物，求你今天賜給我們；

¹¹ Give us today our daily bread.

¹²赦免我們的罪，好像我們饒恕了得罪我們的人；

¹² Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.

¹³不要讓我們陷入試探，救我們脫離那惡者。’（有些後期抄本在此有“因為國度、權柄、榮耀，全是你的，直到永遠。阿們”一句）

¹³ Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. NU omits “For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.” ’

¹⁴如果你們饒恕別人的過犯，你們的天父也必饒恕你們。

¹⁴ “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

¹⁵如果你們不饒恕別人，你們的父也必不饒恕你們的過犯。

¹⁵ But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

¹⁶禁食不讓人知“你們禁食的時候，不可像偽君子那樣愁眉苦臉，他們裝成難看的樣子，叫人看出他們在禁食。我實在告訴你們，他們已經得了他們的賞賜。

¹⁶ “Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.

¹⁷可是你禁食的時候，要梳頭洗臉，

¹⁷ But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face;

¹⁸不要叫人看出你在禁食，只讓在隱密中的父看見。你父在隱密中察看，必定報答你。

¹⁸ so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.

¹⁹積財於天（路12:32~34）“不可為自己在地上積聚財寶，因為地上有蟲蛀，有鏽侵蝕，也有賊挖洞來偷。

¹⁹ “Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;

²⁰要為自己積聚財寶在天上，那裡沒有蟲蛀鏽蝕，也沒有賊挖洞來偷。

²⁰ but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal;

²¹你的財寶在哪裡，你的心也在哪裡。

²¹ for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

²²裡面的光（路11:34~36）“眼睛就是身體的燈。如果你的眼睛健全，全身就都明亮；

²² “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.

²³如果你的眼睛有毛病，全身就都黑暗。如果你裡面的光變成黑暗，這是多麼的黑暗！

²³ But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

²⁴不要為明天憂慮（路12:22~31）“一個人不能服事兩個主人；他若不是恨這個愛那個，就是忠於這個輕視那個。你們不能服事　神，又服事金錢。

²⁴ “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.

²⁵所以我告訴你們，不要為生命憂慮吃甚麼喝甚麼，也不要為身體憂慮穿甚麼。難道生命不比食物重要嗎？身體不比衣服重要嗎？

²⁵ Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

²⁶你們看天空的飛鳥：牠們不撒種，不收割，也不收進倉裡，你們的天父尚且養活牠們；難道你們不比牠們更寶貴嗎？

²⁶ See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?

²⁷你們中間誰能用憂慮使自己的壽命延長一刻呢？

²⁷ “Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment literally, cubit to his lifespan?

²⁸何必為衣服憂慮呢？試想田野的百合花怎樣生長，它們不勞苦，也不紡織。

²⁸ Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin,

²⁹但我告訴你們，就是所羅門最威榮的時候所穿的，也比不上這花中的一朵。

²⁹ yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these.

³⁰田野的草，今天還在，明天就投進爐裡，　神尚且這樣妝扮它們；小信的人哪，何況你們呢？

³⁰ But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?

³¹所以不要憂慮，說：‘我們該吃甚麼？喝甚麼？穿甚麼？’

³¹ “Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’

³²這些都是教外人所尋求的，你們的天父原知道你們需要這一切。

³² For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

³³你們要先求他的國和他的義，這一切都必加給你們。

³³ But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

³⁴所以不要為明天憂慮，因為明天自有明天的憂慮，一天的難處一天當就夠了。”

³⁴ Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
