¹勸人民悔改歸向　神大利烏王第二年八月，耶和華的話臨到易多的孫子、比利家的兒子撒迦利亞先知，說：

¹In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of Yahweh “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying,

²“耶和華曾對你們的列祖大發烈怒，

²“Yahweh was very displeased with your fathers.

³所以，你要對眾民說：‘萬軍之耶和華這樣說：你們要轉向我（這是萬軍之耶和華的宣告），我就必轉向你們（這是萬軍之耶和華說的）。

³Therefore tell them: Thus says Yahweh of Armies: ‘Return to me,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘and I will return to you,’ says Yahweh of Armies.

⁴不要效法你們的列祖那樣，從前的先知呼喚他們：萬軍之耶和華這樣說，你們要回轉，離開你們的惡道和惡行。他們卻不聽從，也不理會我（這是耶和華的宣告）。

⁴Don’t you be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying: Thus says Yahweh of Armies, ‘Return now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings;’ but they did not hear, nor listen to me, says Yahweh.

⁵你們的列祖在哪裡呢？那些先知能永遠活著嗎？

⁵Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?

⁶然而我吩咐我的僕人眾先知的話與條例，不是已報應在你們的列祖身上嗎？所以他們就回轉，說：萬軍之耶和華定意按著我們所作所行的對付我們，他已經這樣行了。’”

⁶But my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, didn’t they overtake your fathers? “Then they repented and said, ‘Just as Yahweh of Armies determined to do to us, according to our ways, and according to our practices, so he has dealt with us.’”

⁷騎馬者的異象大利烏王第二年十一月（就是細罷特月）二十四日，耶和華的話臨到易多的孫子、比利家的兒子撒迦利亞先知，實情如下：

⁷On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of Yahweh came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying,

⁸我夜間觀看，看見有一個人騎著紅馬，站在低窪地上的石榴樹中間；在他後面還有些紅色、栗色和白色的馬。

⁸“I had a vision in the night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in a ravine; and behind him there were red, brown, and white horses.

⁹我就問：“我主啊，這些是甚麼？”那與我說話的天使對我說：“我會指示你這些是甚麼。”

⁹Then I asked, ‘My lord, what are these?’” The angel who talked with me said to me, “I will show you what these are.”

¹⁰那站在石榴樹中間的人回答：“這些就是耶和華所差遣在遍地巡邏的。”

¹⁰The man who stood among the myrtle trees answered, “They are the ones Yahweh has sent to go back and forth through the earth.”

¹¹那些騎士回報那站在石榴樹中間的耶和華使者，說：“我們已經在遍地巡邏；看見全地都安定，一片平靜。”

¹¹They reported to the angel of Yahweh who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, “We have walked back and forth through the earth, and behold, all the earth is at rest and in peace.”

¹²於是耶和華的使者說：“萬軍之耶和華啊！你不憐憫耶路撒冷和猶大的城鎮，要到幾時呢？這七十年來，你一直惱怒它們。”

¹²Then the angel of Yahweh replied, “O Yahweh of Armies, how long will you not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which you have had indignation these seventy years?”

¹³耶和華就用滿有恩慈和安慰的話回答那與我說話的天使。

¹³Yahweh answered the angel who talked with me with kind and comforting words.

¹⁴那與我說話的天使對我說：“你要宣告：‘萬軍之耶和華這樣說：我為耶路撒冷和錫安心裡充滿嫉恨。

¹⁴So the angel who talked with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

¹⁵我向那些安逸的列國大大惱怒，因為我只是稍微惱怒我的子民，他們卻加深他們的禍害。

¹⁵I am very angry with the nations that are at ease; for I was but a little displeased, but they added to the calamity.”

¹⁶因此，耶和華這樣說：我要懷著憐憫的心回到耶路撒冷，我的殿必在城中重建（這是萬軍之耶和華的宣告）。繩子必拉在耶路撒冷之上。’

¹⁶Therefore thus says Yahweh: “I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy. My house shall be built in it,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and a line shall be stretched forth over Jerusalem.”’

¹⁷你要再宣告：‘萬軍之耶和華這樣說：我的城鎮必再昌盛繁榮，耶和華必再憐憫錫安，必再揀選耶路撒冷。’”

¹⁷“Proclaim further, saying, ‘Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “My cities will again overflow with prosperity, and Yahweh will again comfort Zion, and will again choose Jerusalem.”’”

¹⁸四角的異象我又舉目觀看，看見有四個角。

¹⁸I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four horns.

¹⁹於是我問那與我說話的天使：“這些是甚麼？”他對我說：“這些就是把猶大、以色列和耶路撒冷趕散的角。”

¹⁹I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these?” He answered me, “These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”

²⁰四工匠的異象耶和華又使我看見四個匠人。

²⁰Yahweh showed me four craftsmen.

²¹於是我說：“這些人來作甚麼？”那天使回答：“他們就是把猶大趕散的角，以致沒有一人可以抬起頭來；但這些匠人要來驚嚇列國，打掉他們的角；這些列國就是曾經舉起他們的角攻擊猶大地，把猶大地的人趕散的。”（本章第18~21節在《馬索拉抄本》為2:1~4）

²¹Then I asked, “What are these coming to do?” He said, “These are the horns which scattered Judah, so that no man lifted up his head; but these have come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations, which lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”
