¹以色列王巴沙进攻犹大（王上15:17-22）

¹In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

²于是亚撒从耶和华的殿和王宫的库房里取出金银来，送给住在大马士革的亚兰王便．哈达，说：

²Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

³“你父亲和我父亲曾经立约，你和我也要立约。现在我把金银送给你，请你去废除你和以色列王巴沙订立的约，好使他离开我而去。”

³There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.

⁴便．哈达听从了亚撒王的话，就派遣他属下的众军长去攻击以色列的城市，他们攻陷了以云、但、亚伯．玛音和拿弗他利一切贮藏货物的城市。

⁴And Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.

⁵巴沙听见了，就停止修筑拉玛，把工程都停止了。

⁵And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease.

⁶于是亚撒王带领犹大众人，把巴沙修筑拉玛所用的石头和木材都搬走，用来修筑迦巴和米斯巴。

⁶Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.

⁷先见哈拿尼责备亚撒那时，先见哈拿尼来见犹大王亚撒，对他说：“因你倚靠亚兰王，没有倚靠耶和华你的　神，所以亚兰王的军队才可以脱离你的手。

⁷And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.

⁸古实人和路比人不是有强大的军队吗？战车和马兵不是极多吗？只因你倚靠耶和华，耶和华就把他们交在你手里。

⁸Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.

⁹耶和华的眼目遍察全地，一心归向他的，他必以大能扶助他们；你作这事太愚昧了。从今以后，你必常有战争。”

⁹For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

¹⁰于是亚撒对先见发怒，把他囚在监里。同时亚撒也压迫人民。

¹⁰Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.

¹¹亚撒逝世（王上15:23-24）亚撒所行的事迹，一生的始末，都记在犹大和以色列诸王记上。

¹¹And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

¹²亚撒在位第三十九年，患了脚病，病情严重；可是，连他患病的时候，也没有寻求耶和华，只管寻求医生。

¹²And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.

¹³亚撒作王四十一年以后死了，和他的列祖同睡。

¹³And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.

¹⁴人把他埋葬在大卫城里他为自己所凿的坟墓中。他们把他放在堆满按着作香的方法调和的各样香料的床上，又为他烧了很多香料。

¹⁴And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odorous and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries' art: and they made a very great burning for him.
