1葡萄树的比喻
1The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
2“人子啊！葡萄树的木料怎能胜过树林中的枝子呢？
2Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, the vine-branch which is among the trees of the forest?
3人可以从葡萄树上取木料制造物件吗？可以从葡萄树上取木料做钉子挂器皿吗？
3Shall wood be taken of it to make any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?
4看哪！已经拋在火里当作燃料，火既烧毁了两端，连中间也烧焦了，它还可以用来制造物件吗？
4Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire has devoured both its ends, and its midst is burned: is it profitable for any work?
5看哪！它完整的时候，尚且不能用来制造物件，何况它被火烧毁和烧焦了，它还能用来做什么呢？”
5Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less, when the fire has devoured it, and it is burned, shall it yet be meet for any work!
6因此，主耶和华这样说：“我怎样把树林中的葡萄树拋在火里当作燃料，也必照样对待耶路撒冷的居民。
6Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
7我必变脸攻击他们；他们虽然从火里逃出来，火仍要吞灭他们；我变脸攻击他们的时候，你们就知道我是耶和华。
7I will set my face against them; they shall go forth from the fire, but the fire shall devour them; and you shall know that I am Yahweh, when I set my face against them.
8我必使这地荒凉，因为他们行了不忠的事。这是主耶和华的宣告。”
8I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, says the Lord Yahweh.
