¹And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

¹彌賽亞及他的國度從耶西的樹幹必生出一根嫩芽，從他的根而出的枝條必結果子。

²And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

²耶和華的靈必停留在他身上，就是智慧的靈和聰明的靈，謀略的靈和能力的靈，知識的靈和敬畏耶和華的靈。

³And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

³他必以敬畏耶和華為樂。他不憑眼睛所見的施行審判，也不憑耳朵所聽的斷定是非；

⁴But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

⁴卻要以公義審判貧窮人，以正直判斷地上的困苦人；以口中的杖擊打世界，以嘴裡的氣殺死惡人。

⁵And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

⁵公義必作他腰間的帶子，信實必作他脅下的帶子。

⁶The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

⁶豺狼必與綿羊羔同住，豹子要與山羊羔同臥，牛犢、幼獅和肥畜必同群；小孩子要牽引牠們。

⁷And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

⁷牛必與母熊一同吃食，牛犢必與小熊一起躺臥；獅子就像牛一般吃草。

⁸And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.

⁸吃奶的嬰兒必在虺蛇的洞口玩耍，斷奶的孩子必放他的手在毒蛇的穴上。

⁹They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

⁹在我整個聖山上面，這一切都不行傷害或毀滅之事；因為認識耶和華的知識要充滿大地，好像海水覆蓋海洋一般。

¹⁰And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

¹⁰預言被擄的人回歸到那日，耶西的根必豎立起來，作萬族的旗幟；列國的人必尋求他，他安息之所必大有榮耀。

¹¹And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

¹¹到那日，主必再用自己的手，贖回他子民中的餘民，就是從亞述、埃及、巴忒羅、古實、以攔、示拿和哈馬，以及眾海島所剩下的。

¹²And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

¹²他必向列國豎起旗幟，召聚以色列被擄去的人，又從地的四方聚集分散了的猶大人。

¹³The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

¹³以法蓮的嫉妒必消除，那敵視猶大的必被剪除；以法蓮必不再嫉妒猶大，猶大也必不再敵視以法蓮。

¹⁴But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.

¹⁴他們要向西飛，撲在非利士人的山麓上，一起擄掠東方人；他們必把手伸到以東和摩押之上，亞捫人必順服他們。

¹⁵And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.

¹⁵耶和華必使埃及的海灣乾涸；他要用熱風在大河之上揮手，他要擊打它，使它分成七道支流，使人走過去也不會把鞋弄濕。

¹⁶And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

¹⁶為著　神的餘民，就是那些在亞述剩下歸回的，必有一條大路給他們歸回，正如以色列人從埃及地上來的日子一樣。
