1Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1इ सोचिके देखा कि परमपिता हमका केतॅना पिरेम करत ह जइसेन कि हम पचे बेटी-बेटवा कहवावा जाइ सकी अउर वास्तव मँ उ हमहिं सब अही। इही बरे दुनिया हमका नाहीं पहिचानत, काहेकि उ मसीह क नाहीं पहिचानत।
2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
2पिआरे बन्धुअन, अब हम परमेस्सर क सन्तान अही, मुला आगे चलिके हम सब का होबै, एकर जानकारी हमका नाहीं कराई गइ अहइ। जउन कछू होइ, हम इ जानित अही कि मसीह क फिन परगट होइ प हम पचे उही क तरह होइ जाब, काहेकि उ जइसेन अहइ, हम ओका उही तरह देखब।
3And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
3जउन मनई ओसे अइसी उम्मीद रखत अहइ, उ खुदक वइसे पवित्तर करत ह जइसे मसीह पवित्तर अहइ।
4Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
4जउन मनई पाप करत ह, उ परमेस्सर क नियम क तोड़त ह, काहेकि नियम क तोड़ब पाप बाटइ।
5And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
5तू तउ जानत अहा कि मसीह सब मनइयन क पाप क नास करइ क वास्ते प्रकट भवा अहइ। अउर इहउ बात जानत अहा कि ओहमाँ कउनो पाप नाहीं अहइ।
6Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
6जउन मनई मसीह मँ रहत ही पाप मँ नाहीं रहतेन अउर जउन मनई पाप करत ही, उ न तउ ओकर दर्सन करे अहइ, अउर न तउ कबहूँ ओका जाने अहइ।
7Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
7पिआरे बच्चो, तू कतहूँ ठगा न जा। जउन मनई धरम क पालन करत ह ओका धरमात्मा कहा जात ह। जइसेन कि मसीह धरमात्मा अहइ।
8He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
8जउन मनई हमेसा पाप करत रहत ह, उ सइतान क अहइ काहेकि सइतान अनादिकाल स पाप करत चलत आवत अहइ। इही बरे परमेस्सर क पूत (मसीह) परगट भवा जइसेन कि उ सइतान क काम क नास कइ देइ।
9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
9जउन मनई परमेस्सर क बेटवा बन गवा, पाप मँ नाहीं रहत, काहेकि ओकर बीज तउ उही मँ रहत ह। अब उ पाप नाहीं करत काहेकि वह परमेस्सर क बेटवा बन चुका अहइ।
10In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
10परमेस्सर क सन्तान कउन अहइँ? अउर सइतान क बेटवन कउन अहइँ? तू ओनका इ तरीके स जान सकत ह्या कि जउन मनई धरम प नाहीं चलत अउर अपने भाई स पिरेम नाहीं करत, उ परमेस्सर क बचवा न अहइ।
11For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
11इ उपदेस तउ तू सुरूआति स सुने अहा कि हमका सबका एक दुसरे स पिरेम करइ चाही।
12Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
12हमका पचे क कैन क तरह न बनइ चाही जउने क सम्बन्ध दुस्ट आतिमा स रहा अउर जे अपने भाई क हतिया कइ दिहे रहा। अब बतावा कि उ अपने भाई क काहे मार डाएस? उ अइसा इ बरे करेस, काहेकि ओकर करम खराब रहेन जबकि ओकरे भाई क करम अच्छा रहेन।
13Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
13भाइयो तथा बहिनियो, जदि इ दुनिया तोहसे नफरत करत ह, तउ एहमाँ अचरज करइ क बात नाहीं अहइ ।
14We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
14हमका पता अहइ कि हम मउत क पार जीवन मँ आइ पहुँचा अहइ। काहेकि हम अपने भाइयन स पिरेम करित अही। जउन मनई पिरेम नाहीं करत, उ मउत मँ बरकरार रहत ह।
15Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
15जउन मनई अपने भाई स नफरत करत ह, उ हतियारा अहइ अउर तू जानत ही अहा कि जउन मनई हतियारा होत ह, उ अनन्त जीवन नाहीं रखत।
16Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
16ईसू हमरे सबके खातिर आपन जीवन त्याग दिहेस। इही बरे कि हम जानित ह कि पिरेम का होत ह? हमका अपने भाइयन क बरे आपन प्रान निछावर कइ देइ चाही।
17But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
17जेकरे लगे भौतिक सम्पति अहइ, अउर जे अपने भाइयन क दुःखी देखके ओकरे ऊपर दया नाहीं करत, ओहमा परमेस्सर क पिरेम अहइ, एका कइसे कहा जाइ सकत ह?
18My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
18पिआरे बच्चो, हमार पिरेम केवल कथन अउर बात तक न रहइ चाही, ओका करम कइके देखावइ चाही तथा पिरेम क सच्चा होइ चाही।
19And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

20For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

21Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
21जो पिआरे बन्धुओं, जदि बुरा काम करत समइ हमार मन हमका दोसी नाहीं ठहरावत तउ परमेस्सर क सामने हमका बिसवास बना रहत ह।
22And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
22अउर जउन कछू हम ओसे मांगित ह, ओका पाइत ह। काहेकि हम ओकरे हुकुमन क अनुसार काम करत अही अउर ओनही काम करत अही जउन ओका अच्छी लागत ह। 23ओकर इ हुकुमन अहइ: हम सबे ओकरे पूत ईसू मसीह मँ बिसवास करी, जइसेन कि उ हमका पचे क हुकुम दिहे अहइ, कि हम एक दुसरे स पिरेम करी,
23And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
23जउन मनई ओकरे आदेस क पालन करत ह, उ उही मँ बरकरार रहत ह अउर ओहमाँ परमेस्सर क निवास रहत ह। इ तरह स, उ आतिमा क द्वारा जेका परमेस्सर हमका दिहे अहइ, हम जानितही कि हमरे अन्दर परमेस्सर रहत ह।
24And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
