1Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
1जउन मनई इ बिसवास करत ह कि ईसू मसीह अहइ, उ परमेस्सर क सन्तान बन जात ह अउर जदि कउनो परमपिता स पिरेम करी तउ ओकरी सन्तानौ स पिरेम करी।
2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
2इ तरह स जब हम परमेस्सर स पिरेम करित ह अउर ओकरे आदेस क पालन करित अही तउ हम जानि लेइत ह कि हम परमेस्सर क संतान स पिरेम करित अही।
3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
3ओकरे आदेसन क पालन करत हम इ देखाइत ह कि हम परमेस्सर स पिरेम करित ह। ओकरे आदेस बहुत कड़ा नाहीं अहइ।
4For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
4काहेकि जउ कउनो परमेस्सर क सन्तान बन जात ह तउ उ दुनिया क जीत लेत ह। अउर दुनिया प जीत हासिल करवइवाला हमार बिसवास अहइ।
5Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
5जउन इ बिसवास करत ह कि ईसू परमेस्सर क पूत अहइ, तउ उ दुनिया क जीत लेत ह।
6This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
6उ ईसू मसीह अहइ जउन हमरे पास पानी अउर लहू क साथ आवा-उ केवल पानी क साथे नाहीं, मुला पानी अउर लहू क साथ। अउर उ आतिमा अहइ जउन ओकर साच्छी देत ह, काहेकि आतिमा सत्य अहइ।
7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
7साच्छी देइवाले तीन अहइँ।
8And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
8आतिमा, पानी अउर लहू अउर इ तीनउँ साच्छी एक दूसरे स मेल खात ही, एक दूसरे स सहमत अहइँ।
9If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

10He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
10जउन मनई परमेस्सर क पूत मँ बिसवास करत ह उ अपने अन्दर साच्छी क रखत ह। परमेस्सर जउन कहे अहइ, ओह प जउ बिसवास नाहीं करत, तउ उ मनई परमेस्सर क झूठा साबित करत ह। काहेकि उ परमेस्सर क अपने पूत क बावत दीन्ह साच्छी मँ बिसवास नाहीं किहेस।
11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
11अउर उ साच्छी आटै कि परमेस्सर हमका अन्नत जीवन देहे अहइ। अउर उ जीवन ओकरे पूत (ईसू) मँ मिलतह।
12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
12जउन मनई ओहके पूत क धारन करत ह, उ उही जीवन क धारन करतह। मुला जेकरे पास परमेस्सर क पूत नाहीं अहइ, ओकरे पास उ जीवनौ नाहीं अहइ।
13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
13परमेस्सर मँ बिसवास करइवालो, तोहका इ बातिन क मइँ इ बरे लिखत अहउँ जइसेन कि तू जानि ल्या कि अनन्त जीवन तोहरे पास अहइ।
14And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
14हमार परमेस्सर मँ इस बिसवास अहइ कि जदि हम ओकरी इच्छा क पालन करत ओसे पराथना करी तउ उ हमार पराथना सुनत ह,
15And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
15अउर जब हम जानित ह कि उ हमार सुनत ह ओसे हम चाहे जउन माँगी-तउ हम इहइ जानित ही कि हम जउन कछू मांगित ही, उ हमार होइ जात ह।
16If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
16जदि कउनो देखत ह कि ओकर भाई कउनो अइसा पाप करत अहइ जेकर फल अनन्त मउत नाहीं अहइ, तउ ओका अपने भाई क बावत पराथना करइ चाही। परमेस्सर ओका जीवन देइ। मइँ ओनके बरे जीवन क बात करत अही, जउन कि अइसे पाप मँ लगा अहइँ जउन ओनका अनन्त मउत तक न पहुँचा। अइसउ पाप होत ह, जेकर फल मउत अहइ। मइँ तोहसे अइसे न पाप क बरे पराथना करइ बरे नाहीं कहत अहउँ।
17All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
17सबइ बुरा काम पाप अहइ। मुला अइसा पाप भी होत ह जउन अनन्त मउत क तरफ नाहीं लइ जात।
18We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
18हम जानित ह कि जे केहू परमेस्सर क पूत बन गवा, उ पाप नाहीं करत। परमेस्सर क पूत ओकइ रच्छा करत ह। उ दुस्ट सइतान ओकर कछू बिगाड़ नाहीं सकत।
19And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
19हम जानित अही कि हम परमेस्सर क अही। वइसेन इ पूरी दुनिया उ दुस्ट (सइतान) क बस मँ अहइ।
20And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
20मुला हमका पता अहइ कि परमेस्सर क पूत आइ गवा अहइ अउर उ हमका अइसा गियान दिहे अहइ जइसे कि हम उ परमेस्सर क जान लेई जउन सच्चाई अहइ। हम सबे उही मँ स्थित अही जउन सच्चाई अहइ, काहेकि हम ओकर पूत ईसू मसीह मँ स्थित अही। परमपिता सच्चा परमेस्सर अहइ अउर उ अनन्त जीवन भी अहइ।
21Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
21पिआरे बच्चो, अपने आप क झूठे देवता लोगन स दूर राखा।
