¹Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

¹Labut pa, mga igsoon, ginapahibalo namo kaninyo ang gracia sa Dios, nga nahatag diha sa mga iglesia sa Macedonia;

²How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

²Nga sa dakung pagsulay sa kagul-anan, ang kadagaya sa ilang kalipay, ug sa ilang halalum nga kahangulan, nagpadagaya sa mga bahandi sa ilang pagkamahinatagon.

³For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

³Kay sumala sa ilang hiarangan, nagapamatuod ako, labi pa ngani sa ilang hiarangan, nanghatag sila gikan sa ilang kaugalingon nga kabubut-on;

⁴Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

⁴Nga ilang gipanghinaut kanamo, uban ang daghang pagpangamuyo mahitungod niini nga gracia ug sa pagpakig-ambit niini nga mao ang pagtabang sa mga balaan.

⁵And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

⁵Ug dili ingon sa gilauman namo, kondili nga ang ilang kaugalingon gihatag nila pag-una sa Ginoo, ug kanamo pinaagi sa kabubut-on sa Dios.

⁶Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.

⁶Sa pagkaagi nga gitambagan namo si Tito, nga ingon sa pagsugod niya kaniadto, ingon usab niana iyang paga-hingpiton kini nga gracia diha kaninyo usab.

⁷Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

⁷Apan, ingon nga dato kamo sa tanan, sa pagtoo, ug sa pagpamulong, ug sa pag-ila, ug sa tanang pagkamainiton, ug sa inyong gugma kanamo, bantayi nga mag-uswag usab kamo niini nga gracia.

⁸I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

⁸Wala ako magsulti niini ingon nga sugo, kondili pinaagi sa pagkamainiton sa uban sa kaulay usab sa inyong gugma.

⁹For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

⁹Kay kamo nasayud sa gracia sa atong Ginoong Jesucristo, nga, bisan siya dato, apan tungod kaninyo nagpakakabus siya, aron mangadato kamo tungod sa iyang pagkakabus.

¹⁰And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.

¹⁰Ug niini nagahatag ako sa akong paghukom; kay kini mapuslanon alang kaninyo, nga maoy nanghiuna sa pagsugod niini usa ka tuig na, dili lamang sa pagbuhat, kondili usab sa pagbuot.

¹¹Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.

¹¹Apan karon, tibawasa usab ninyo ang pagbuhat; maingon nga kamo andam sa pagbuot kaniadto, ingon usab sa pagtibawas karon, sumala sa inyong kahimtang.

¹²For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

¹²Kay kong andam nga daan ang kabubut-on, pagakahamut-an kini sumala sa iyang kahimtang, dili sumala sa dili niya kahimtang.

¹³For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:

¹³Kay kini, giingon ko, dili aron ang uban may kasayon ug kamo may kapiut:

¹⁴But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:

¹⁴Kondili nga pinaagi sa kasamahan: karon nga panahona ang inyong kadagaya, makailis sa ilang kawalad-on, aron usab ang ilang kadagaya magailis sa inyong kawalad-on, aron nga may kasamahan:

¹⁵As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.

¹⁵Ingon sa nahasulat: Siya nga nakahipos ug daghan, wala makakapin; ug ang nakahipos ug diriyut, wala makulangi.

¹⁶But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.

¹⁶Apan salamat sa Dios, nga naghatag sa kasingkasing ni Tito, sa mao usab nga mainitong pag-atiman alang kaninyo?

¹⁷For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you.

¹⁷Kay, sa pagkamatuod midawat siya sa akong tambag; apan sanglit siya mainiton sa hilabihan gayud, mianha siya diha kaninyo sa iyang kaugalingong kabubut-on.

¹⁸And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches;

¹⁸Ug gipadala namo uban kaniya ang igsoon, kansang pagdalayeg sa Maayong Balita nabantug sa tanang mga iglesia;

¹⁹And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind:

¹⁹Ug dili lamang niini, kondili gipili usab siya sa mga iglesia, sa pagpanaw uban kanamo tungod niining gracia nga gialagad namo alang sa himaya sa Ginoo, ug sa pagpakita sa among tinguha;

²⁰Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:

²⁰Sa paglikay niini, aron nga bisan kinsa nga dili magbadlong kanamo niining kadagaya nga among gialagad:

²¹Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

²¹Kay nanaghunahuna kami sa mga butang nga maligdong, dili lamang sa atubangan sa Ginoo, kondili usab sa atubangan sa mga tawo.

²²And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you.

²²Ug among gipadala uban kanila ang atong igsoon, nga sa nakadaghan, atong hingsulayan nga makugihon sa daghang mga butang; apan karon labi pa nga makugihon tungod sa iyang pagsalig kaninyo.

²³Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ.

²³Kong adunay nagapangutana mahatungod kang Tito, siya kauban ko; ug mahatungod kaninyo, katabang ko siya; kun mahatungod sa atong mga igsoon, sila mga sulogoon sa mga iglesia, sila himaya ni Cristo.

²⁴Wherefore shew ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.

²⁴Busa ipadayag ninyo kanila sa atubangan sa mga iglesia, ang kamatuoran sa inyong gugma, ug sa among paghimaya tungod kaninyo.
