¹These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.

¹Kini mao ang mga pulong sa tugon nga gisugo ni Jehova kang Moises aron himoon uban sa mga anak sa Israel didto sa yuta sa Moab, labut pa sa tugon nga iyang gihimo uban kanila didto sa Horeb.

²And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;

²Ug nagtawag si Moises sa tibook nga Israel, ug miingon kanila: Kamo nanagpakakita sa tanan nga gibuhat ni Jehova sa atubangan sa inyong mga mata sa yuta sa Egipto kang Faraon, ug sa tanan niya nga mga ulipon, ug sa tibook nga yuta niya;

³The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:

³Ang mga dagku nga pagsulay nga hingkit-an sa imong mga mata, ang mga timaan, ug kadtong dagkung mga katingalahan:

⁴Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.

⁴Apan si Jehova wala maghatag kaninyo ug kasingkasing sa pagsabut, ug mga mata aron sa pagtan-aw, ug mga igdulungog sa pagpatalinghug, hangtud karong adlawa.

⁵And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.

⁵Ug gidala ko kamo sulod sa kap-atan ka tuig sa kamingawan: ang inyong mga bisti wala mangadaan sa ibabaw ninyo, ug ang imong sapin wala mangadaan sa imong tiil.

⁶Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.

⁶Wala kamo makakaon ug tinapay, wala usab kamo makainum ug vino kun ilimnon nga maisug, aron manghibalo kamo nga ako mao si Jehova nga inyong Dios.

⁷And when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we smote them:

⁷Ug sa ming-abut kamo niining dapita, si Sihon nga hari sa Hesbon, ug si Og nga hari sa Basan, minggula batok kanato sa pagpakig-away, ug gisamaran ta sila:

⁸And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh.

⁸Ug gikuha nato ang yuta nila, ug gihatag nato kini sa pagkapanulondon kang Ruben, ug kang Gad, ug sa katunga nga banay ni Manases.

⁹Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.

⁹Busa pagabantayan ninyo ang mga pulong niini nga tugon, ug buhaton ninyo sila, aron mouswag kamo sa tanan nga pagabuhaton ninyo.

¹⁰Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,

¹⁰Kamong tanan nagatindog niining adlawa sa atubangan ni Jehova nga inyong Dios; ang inyong mga pangulo, ang inyong mga banay, ang inyong mga anciano, ug ang inyong mga punoan, bisan pa ang tanan nga mga lalake sa Israel,

¹¹Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water:

¹¹Ang inyong mga bata, ang inyong mga asawa, ug ang imong mga dumuloong nga nagapuyo sa taliwala sa imong campo, sukad sa magpuputol sa imong sugnod hangtud sa magkukuha sa imong mga tubig;

¹²That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day:

¹²Aron ikaw mosulod sa tugon ni Jehova nga imong Dios, ug sa panumpa niya, nga gibuhat ni Jehova nga imong Dios uban kanimo niining adlawa;

¹³That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

¹³Aron nga siya magapalig-on kanimo niining adlawa ingon nga usa ka katawohan alang sa iyang kaugalingon, ug aron siya mamao ang Dios nimo sumala sa iyang pagsulti kanimo, ug ingon nga siya nanumpa sa imong mga amahan, kang Abraham, kang Isaac ug kang Jacob.

¹⁴Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;

¹⁴Dili kay uban kaninyo lamang nagahimo ako niini nga tugon ug niini nga panumpa,

¹⁵But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:

¹⁵Apan uban kaniya nga ania nagatambong karon uban kanato sa atubangan ni Jehova nga atong Dios, ug ingon man sa mga wala dinhi karon uban kanato niining adlawa,

¹⁶(For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;

¹⁶(Kay kamo nanghibalo kong unsa ang pagpuyo nato sa yuta sa Egipto, ug kong unsa ang giagian nato sa taliwala sa mga nasud nga inyong giagian;

¹⁷And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)

¹⁷Ug inyong nakita ang ilang mga kahugawan, ug ang ilang mga larawan, kahoy ug bato, salapi ug bulawan, nga anaa uban kanila);

¹⁸Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;

¹⁸Tingali unya sa taliwala ninyo adunay lalake, kun babaye, kun panimalay, kun banay, kinsang kasingkasing motalikod gikan kang Jehova nga atong Dios, aron sa pag-adto sa pag-alagad sa mga dios niadtong mga nasud; tingali unya kaninyo adunay gamot nga makahilo, ug ajenjo;

¹⁹And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:

¹⁹Ug mahitabo, nga sa makadungog siya sa mga pulong niini nga panunglo, siya sa iyang kaugalingon magapanalangin sa iyang kaugalingon sulod sa iyang kasingkasing nga magaingon: Makabaton ako ug pakigdait, bisan ako nagalakaw sa katig-a sa akong kasingkasing, aron sa paglaglag sa nagaumog uban sa uga.

²⁰The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.

²⁰Si Jehova dili magapasaylo kaniya, hinonoa ang kapungot ni Jehova ug ang iyang abugho magautbo batok sa maong tawo, ug ang tanan nga panunglo nga gisulat niini nga basahon magatungtong sa ibabaw niya, ug pagapalaon ni Jehova ang iyang ngalan gikan sa ilalum sa langit.

²¹And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:

²¹Ug pagapinigon siya ni Jehova ngadto sa dautan gikan sa tanan nga mga banay sa Israel sumala sa tanan nga pagpanunglo niini nga tugon nga gisulat niini nga basahon sa Kasugoan.

²²So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;

²²Ug ang kaliwatan nga umaabut, ang inyong mga anak nga mosunod sa ulahi ninyo, ug ang dumuloong nga moabut gikan sa halayo nga mga yuta, magaingon: Sa diha nga makakita sila sa mga kagul-anan niining yutaa, ug sa mga sakit nila nga gipadala ni Jehova kanila;

²³And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:

²³Ug nga ang tibook nga yuta niini azufre, ug asin, ug nagadilaab, nga wala pagpugasi, wala usab magapamunga, wala usab magaturok niini, bisan unsa nga balili, sama sa pagkalaglag sa Sodoma ug sa Gomorra, sa Adma ug sa Seboim, nga gilaglag ni Jehova sa iyang kapungot, ug sa iyang kaligutgut):

²⁴Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?

²⁴Bisan ang tanan nga nasud magaingon: Nganong gibuhat kini ni Jehova niining yutaa? Unsa ang kahulogan sa hilabihan ka kainit niini nga kapungot?

²⁵Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:

²⁵Unya motubag ang mga tawo: Tungod kay gibiyaan nila ang tugon ni Jehova, ang Dios sa ilang mga amahan, nga gibuhat niya uban kanila sa pagkuha niya kanila gikan sa yuta sa Egipto;

²⁶For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:

²⁶Ug nangadto sila ug nanag-alagad sa lain nga mga dios, ug nanagsimba kanila; mga dios nga wala nila hiilhi, ug nga wala niya ihatag kanila:

²⁷And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:

²⁷Busa misilaub ang kapungot ni Jehova batok niining yutaa, aron sa pagdala sa ibabaw niini sa tanan nga mga panunglo nga nahasulat niini nga basahon;

²⁸And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.

²⁸Ug sa kasuko, ug sa kapungot, ug sa dakung kaligutgut, giluka sila ni Jehova sa ilang yuta; ug iyang gitambog sila sa lain nga yuta, ingon niining adlawa.

²⁹The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

²⁹Ang mga butang nga tinago iya ni Jehova nga atong Dios; apan ang mga butang nga ginapahayag mao ang ato ug sa atong mga anak nga sa gihapon, aron nga pagatumanon ta ang tanan nga mga pulong niini nga Kasugoan.
