¹Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:

¹Karon kini mao ang sugo, kabalaoran, ug mga tulomanon, nga gisugo ni Jehova nga inyong Dios nga igatudlo kaninyo, aron pagabuhaton ninyo kini didto sa yuta nga pagaadtoan ninyo aron sa pagpanag-iya niini:

²That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

²Aron mahadlok ka kang Jehova nga imong Dios, sa pagbantay sa tanan niya nga kabalaoran, ug sa iyang mga sugo, nga akong gisugo kanimo, ikaw, ug ang imong anak nga lalake, ug ang anak nga lalake sa imong anak nga lalake, sa tanang mga adlaw sa imong kinabuhi; ug aron ang imong mga adlaw pagalugwayan.

³Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.

³Busa patalinghugi, Oh Israel, ug tinguhaa ang pagbuhat niini; aron mamaayo kini alang kanimo, ug aron pagapadaghanon kamo gayud, ingon sa gisaad kanimo ni Jehova, ang Dios sa imong mga amahan, didto sa yuta nga nagapaagay sa gatas ug dugos.

⁴Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

⁴Magpatalinghug ka, Oh Israel: Si Jehova nga atong Dios, maoy usa lamang ka Jehova;

⁵And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

⁵Ug higugmaon mo si Jehova nga imong Dios sa bug-os mong kasingkasing, ug sa bug-os mong kalag, ug sa bug-os mong gahum.

⁶And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

⁶Ug kining mga pulonga, nga gisugo ko niining adlawa, magapaibabaw sa imong kasingkasing:

⁷And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

⁷Ug igatudlo mo kini sa dakung kakugi sa imong mga anak, ug magasulti ka mahitungod niini sa magalingkod ikaw sa imong balay, ug sa magalakaw ikaw sa dalan, ug sa imong paghigda ug sa imong pagbangon.

⁸And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

⁸Ug ihigot mo kini nga timaan sa imong kamot, ug mamahimo kini nga mga timaan sa agtang sa tunga sa imong mga mata;

⁹And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

⁹Ug igasulat mo kini sa mga haligi-sa-pultahan sa imong balay, ug sa imong mga ganghaan.

¹⁰And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,

¹⁰Ug mahitabo, sa diha nga si Jehova nga imong Dios magapasulod kanimo sa yuta nga gipanumpa niya sa imong mga amahan, kang Abraham, kang Isaac, ug kang Jacob, sa paghatag kanimo, ug mga dagku ug matahum nga mga ciudad nga wala mo matukod,

¹¹And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;

¹¹Ug mga balay nga nadasuk sa tanang mga maayong butang, nga wala nimo pagapun-a, ug mga atabay nga kinalotan nga wala mo pagkalota, mga kaparasan ug kaolivahan nga wala mo pagtamni; magakaon ka ug mabusog;

¹²Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

¹²Unya magabantay ka aron dili ka mahikalimot kang Jehova nga nagpagula kanimo gikan sa yuta sa Egipto, gikan sa balay sa kaulipnan.

¹³Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.

¹³Kahadloki si Jehova nga imong Dios; ug kaniya mag-alagad ka, ug tungod sa iyang ngalan magapanumpa ka.

¹⁴Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;

¹⁴Dili kamo magasunod sa nagakalainlaing mga dios, sa mga dios sa mga katawohan nga nagalibut kaninyo:

¹⁵(For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.

¹⁵Kay si Jehova nga imong Dios sa taliwala nimo maoy Dios nga abughoan: tingali unya ang kapungot ni Jehova nga imong Dios mosilaub batok kanimo, ug siya magalaglag kanimo gikan sa nawong sa yuta.

¹⁶Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.

¹⁶Dili kamo magtintal kang Jehova nga inyong Dios, ingon sa inyong pagtintal kaniya didto sa Massa.

¹⁷Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.

¹⁷Magabantay kamo nga masingkamuton gayud sa mga sugo ni Jehova nga inyong Dios, ug sa iyang mga pagpamatuod, ug sa iyang kabalaoran, nga gisugo niya kanimo.

¹⁸And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers.

¹⁸Ug buhaton mo ang matarung ug maayo diha sa mga mata ni Jehova; aron mamaayo alang kanimo, ug nga magasulod ikaw ug manag-iya sa yuta nga maayo nga gipanumpa ni Jehova sa imong mga amahan,

¹⁹To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath spoken.

¹⁹Aron sa pagsalikway sa tanan nimo nga mga kaaway gikan sa atubangan mo, ingon sa gipamulong ni Jehova.

²⁰And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?

²⁰Sa diha nga sa panahon nga umalabut mangutana kanimo ang imong anal nga lalake nga magaingon: Unsa ba ang mga kahulogan sa mga pagpamatuod, ug kabalaoran, ug mga tulomanon nga gisugo kaninyo ni Jehova nga atong Dios?

²¹Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:

²¹Unya magaingon ikaw sa imong anak nga lalake. Kami naulipon ni Faraon didto sa Egipto: ug si Jehova nagkuha kanamo gikan sa Egipto pinaagi sa kamot nga kusgan;

²²And the LORD showed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:

²²Ug si Jehova mipakita ug mga timaan ug mga katingalahan, dagku ug malaglagon didto sa Egipto, kang Faraon, ug sa tibook niya nga balay sa atubangan sa among mga mata;

²³And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.

²³Ug kami gikuha niya gikan didto, aron sa pagdala kanamo nganhi sa paghatag kanamo sa yuta nga gipanumpa niya sa atong mga amahan.

²⁴And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.

²⁴Ug si Jehova nagsugo kanamo sa pagbuhat niining tanan nga kabalaoran, ug sa pagkahadlok kang Jehova nga atong Dios, alang kanunay sa among kaayohan, aron nga magahatag siya ug kinabuhi kanamo maingon karon.

²⁵And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

²⁵Ug kini mamahimong pagkamatarung alang kanamo kong pagabantayan namo ang pagtuman niining tibook nga sugo sa atubangan ni Jehova nga atong Dios, ingon sa iyang gisugo kanamo.
