¹When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

¹Sa diha nga si Jehova nga imong Dios magapasulod kanimo sa yuta nga imong pagaadtoan sa pagpanag-iya niini, ug magapapahawa sa daghan nga mga nasud gikan sa imong atubangan, sa Hetehanon, sa Gergesehanon, ug sa Amorehanon, ug sa Canaanhon, ug sa Peresehanon, ug sa Hebehanon, ug sa Jebusehanon, ang pito ka mga nasud nga labing dagku ug labing kusgan kay kanimo;

²And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them:

²Ug sa diha nga si Jehova nga imong Dios magatugyan kanila sa atubangan nimo, ug pagapatyon mo sila, unya pagalaglagon mo gayud sila; dili ka magabuhat ug pakigsaad uban kanila, dili ka usab magapakita ug kalooy kanila;

³Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

³Ug dili ka magabuhat ug mga pagminyo uban kanila; dili ka magahatag sa anak nga babaye sa iyang anak nga lalake, dili ka usab magakuha sa iyang anak nga babaye nga alang sa imong anak nga lalake.

⁴For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

⁴Kay siya magapasalaag sa imong anak nga lalake gikan sa pagsunod kanako, aron mag-alagad sila sa lain nga mga dios, sa ingon niana ang kapungot ni Jehova mosilaub batok kaninyo, ug siya magalaglag kanimo sa madali.

⁵But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.

⁵Apan ang pagabuhaton nimo ingon niini kanila: pagagub-on ninyo ang ilang mga halaran, ug pagadugmokon; ninyo ang ilang mga larawan, ug pagaputlon ninyo ang ilang kakahoyan, ug sunogon ninyo sa kalayo ang ilang mga linilok nga larawan.

⁶For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

⁶Kay ikaw mao ang katawohan nga balaan alang kang Jehova nga imong Dios: si Jehova nga imong Dios nagpili kanimo aron nga mahimo ikaw nga usa ka katawohan nga iyang panag-iyahon, labi kay sa tanan nga mga katawohan nga ania sa ibabaw sa nawong sa yuta.

⁷The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

⁷Si Jehova wala mahigugma kaninyo, ni magpili kaninyo, tungod kay kamo labing daghan kay sa tanang mga katawohan; kay kamo mao ang labing diyutay sa tanang mga katawohan:

⁸But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

⁸Apan tungod kay si Jehova nahagugma kaninyo, ug tungod kay buot niya pagabantayan ang panumpa nga gipanumpa niya sa inyong mga amahan, mao nga gikuha kamo ni Jehova pinaagi sa kamot nga kusgan, ug gitubos niya kamo gikan sa balay sa kaulipnan, gikan sa kamot ni Faraon nga hari sa Egipto.

⁹Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

⁹Busa hibaloi, nga si Jehova nga imong Dios, siya mao ang Dios, ang Dios nga matinumanon, nga nagabantay sa tugon ug sa mahigugmaong-kalolot alang niadtong mga nahagugma kaniya ug nagabantay sa iyang mga sugo ngadto sa usa ka libo kaliwatan,

¹⁰And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

¹⁰Ug nagatumbas niadtong mga nanagdumot kaniya sa ilang nawong, sa paglaglag kanila: siya dili magalangan niadtong nagadumot kaniya, siya magatumbas kaniya sa iyang nawong.

¹¹Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.

¹¹Busa bantayan nimo ang sugo, ug ang kabalaoran, ug ang mga tulomanon nga ginasugo ko kanimo niining adlawa, nga pagatumanon mo sila.

¹²Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:

¹²Ug mahitabo nga tungod kay nagapatalinghug kamo niining mga tulomanon, ug nagabantay ug nagabuhat kanila; si Jehova nga imong Dios magabantay uban kanimo sa tugon ug sa mahigugmaong-kalolot nga gipanumpa niya sa imong mga amahan:

¹³And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

¹³Ug siya mahigugma kanimo, ug magapanalangin kanimo ug magapadaghan kanimo; ug magapanalangin usab siya sa bunga sa imong lawas, ug sa bunga sa imong yuta, ug sa imong liso, ug sa imong vino nga bag-o, ug sa imong lana, ang dugang sa imong mga vaca, ug sa mga nati sa panon sa imong carnero, sa yuta nga gipanumpa niya sa imong mga amahan nga ihatag kanimo.

¹⁴Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.

¹⁴Mabulahan ikaw labi kay sa tanan nga mga katawohan; walay lalake bisan babaye nga apuli sa taliwala ninyo, kun sa imong kahayupan.

¹⁵And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.

¹⁵Ug pagakuhaon ni Jehova gikan kanimo ang tanan nga balatian; ug walay bisan unsa sa dautan nga hampak sa Egipto nga hibaloan nimo, nga igabutang niya sa ibabaw nimo, kondili hinonoa igabutang niya kini sa ibabaw sa tanang mga magadumot kanimo.

¹⁶And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.

¹⁶Ug pagaut-uton nimo ang tanang mga katawohan nga igatugyan kanimo ni Jehova nga imong Dios: dili sila pagakaloy-an sa imong mata, dili ka usab magaalagad sa ilang mga dios; kay kana mamahimong lit-ag alang kanimo.

¹⁷If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?

¹⁷Kong magaingon ka sa imong kasingkasing: kining mga nasud labing daghan pa kay kanako, unsaon ko sa pag-agaw kanila?

¹⁸Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;

¹⁸Dili ka mahadlok kanila; hinumduman mo ug maayo ang gibuhat ni Jehova nga imong Dios kang Faraon ug sa tibook nga Egipto.

¹⁹The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.

¹⁹Ang mga dagkung pagsulay nga nakita sa imong mga mata, ug ang mga timaan ug mga kahibulongan, ug ang kamot nga kusgan, ug ang bukton nga gituy-od, nga pinaagi niini gipagula ikaw ni Jehova nga imong Dios: ingon niini ang pagabuhaton ni Jehova nga imong Dios sa tanang mga katawohan nga imong gikahadlokan.

²⁰Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.

²⁰Labut pa, magapadala si Jehova nga imong Dios ug mga tamboboan sa taliwala nila, hangtud sila nga mga mahabilin, ug ang mga managtago mangawala gikan sa atubangan mo.

²¹Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.

²¹Dili ka mahadlok kanila, kay si Jehova nga imong Dios, anaa sa taliwala nimo, ang Dios nga daku ug makalilisang.

²²And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.

²²Ug si Jehova nga imong Dios magapapahawa niadtong mga nasud gikan sa atubangan nimo sa hinayhinay: dili ka magalaglag kanila sa dihadiha, aron dili modaghan ang mga mananap sa kapatagan nga magadugang batok kanimo.

²³But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.

²³Apan si Jehova nga imong Dios magatugyan kanila nganha kanimo, ug siya magabungkag kanila uban sa dakung kapildihon, hangtud nga malaglag sila.

²⁴And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.

²⁴Ug iyang igatugyan ang ilang mga hari sa imong kamot, ug pagalaglagon mo ang ngalan nila gikan sa ilalum sa langit: walay bisan kinsa nga tawo nga makaasdang kanimo hangtud nga malaglag mo sila.

²⁵The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.

²⁵Ang mga linilok nga larawan sa ilang mga dios pagasunogon mo sa kalayo; dili mo kaibgan ang salapi, bisan ang bulawan nga anaa kanila, dili ka usab magkuha niini alang kanimo, aron nga dili ka malit-ag tungod niini; kay kini maoy usa ka dulumtanan alang kang Jehova nga imong Dios.

²⁶Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

²⁶Ug dili ka magapasulod ug usa ka dulumtanan sa imong balay, ug mahimo nga usa ka butang nga pinahanungod sa pagkalaglag nga sama niini: pagadumtan mo gayud kini, ug isipon mo kini gayud nga makaluod; kay kini pinahanungod sa pagkalaglag.
