¹And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,

¹Ug sa nagakaduol na sila sa Jerusalem, sa Betfage, ug sa Betania, sa bukid sa mga Olivo, gisugo niya ang duha sa iyang mga tinon-an,

²And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.

²Ug miingon kanila: Umadto kamo sa balangay nga anaa sa atubangan ninyo, ug gilayon sa pagsulod ninyo, makakaplag kamo usa ka nati sa asna nga gihigut, nga wala pa makabay-i ug tawo. Hubara ninyo ug dad-a dinhi.

³And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.

³Ug kong adunay magaingon kaninyo: Nganong nagabuhat kamo niana? umingon kamo: ang Ginoo adunay kinahanglan niini; ug gilayon iyang igapadala dinhi.

⁴And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.

⁴Ug nangadto sila ug hingkaplagan nila ang nati sa asna nga gihigut sa ganghaan sa gawas, sa kinasang-an sa dalan ug ilang gihubaran siya.

⁵And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?

⁵Ug ang uban sa nanagtindog didto nanag-ingon kanila: Unsa ang ginabuhat ninyo nga inyong gihubaran ang nati sa asna?

⁶And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.

⁶Ug sila nanag-ingon kanila sumala sa gisugo ni Jesus, ug gipasagdan sila.

⁷And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.

⁷Ug gidala nila ang nati sa asna kang Jesus, ug kini ilang gihaklapan sa ilang mga kupo, ug siya mikabayo kaniya.

⁸And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.

⁸Ug daghan ang namuklad sa ilang mga kupo sa dalan; ug ang uban nanagpamutol ug mga palongpong sa kapatagan ug gikatag nila sa dalan.

⁹And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:

⁹Ug ang mga nagauna ug ang mga nagasunod, nanagsinggit nga nagaingon: Hosanna! Dalayegon ang mianhi sa ngalan sa Ginoo!

¹⁰Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.

¹⁰Dalayegon ang gingharian nga nagaanhi, ang gingharian ni David nga atong amahan! Hosanna sa mga kahitas-an!

¹¹And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.

¹¹Ug si Jesus misulod sa Jerusalem, ngadto sa templo; ug sa natan-aw niya sa libut ang tanang mga butang, ug kay hapon na, migula siya padulong sa Betania uban ang napulo ug duha.

¹²And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:

¹²Ug sa pagkaugma, sa migikan sila sa Betania, gigutom siya.

¹³And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

¹³Ug sa nakita niya sa unahan ang usa ka higuera nga may mga dahon, giduol niya, basin da kong may makaplagan siya niadto. Ug sa nakaduol siya, wala siyay hingkaplagan kondili mga dahon, kay dili panahon kadto sa mga higos.

¹⁴And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

¹⁴Ug mitubag si Jesus ug miingon niini: Wala na gayud ing mokaon bisan kinsa sa imong bunga bisan anus-a pa. Ug hingdunggan kini sa iyang mga tinon-an.

¹⁵And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

¹⁵Ug nangabut sila sa Jerusalem, ug si Jesus misulod sa templo, ug nagsugod pag-abog sa gawas sa mga nanagbaligya ug mga nanagpamalit sa sulod sa templo, ug gipamukan niya ang mga lamesa sa mga magbabaylo, ug ang mga lingkoranan sa mga nanagbaligya ug mga salampati;

¹⁶And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.

¹⁶Ug wala siya motugot nga may magadala ug ginamiton latas sa templo.

¹⁷And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

¹⁷Ug nagtudlo siya ug nag-ingon kanila: Wala ba mahasulat, Ang akong balay paganganlan balay sa pag-ampo sa tanan nga nasud? Apan gihimo ninyo nga lungib sa mga tulisan.

¹⁸And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

¹⁸Ug hingdunggan kini sa mga punoan sa mga sacerdote ug sa mga escriba, ug nanagpangita sila kong unsaon ang paglaglag kaniya, kay sila nangahadlok kaniya, sanglit ang tanang panon sa katawohan nanghitingala sa iyang pagtolon-an.

¹⁹And when even was come, he went out of the city.

¹⁹Ug sa mataghapon mogula siya sa lungsod.

²⁰And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

²⁰Ug sa pag-agi nila sa pagkabuntag, hingkit-an nila nga ang higuera nalaya sukad sa gamut.

²¹And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

²¹Ug sa nahinumdum si Pedro, miingon kaniya: Magtutudlo, tan-awa, ang higuera nga imong gitunglo, nalaya.

²²And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

²²Ug sa mitubag si Jesus, miingon kanila: Tumoo kamo sa Dios.

²³For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

²³Sa pagkamatuod nagaingon ako kaninyo: Bisan kinsa nga mag-ingon niining bukid: Pahawa ka ug lumayat ka sa dagat, ug dili magduhaduha sa iyang kasingkasing apan motoo nga ang iyang giingon mahimo, siya makabaton niini.

²⁴Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

²⁴Tungod niini nagaingon ako kaninyo: Ang tanang mga butang nga inyong igaampo ug pagapangayoon, tohoi nga inyong madawat sila, ug kamo makabaton kanila.

²⁵And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

²⁵Ug sa tanang panahon nga kamo magatindog sa pag-ampo, ug may diyutay kamo batok sa uban, pasayloa sila ninyo, aron nga ang inyong Amahan nga atua sa langit magapasaylo usab kaninyo sa inyong mga paglapas.

²⁶But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

²⁶Apan kong kamo dili managpasaylo, ang inyong Amahan nga atua sa langit dili usab magapasaylo sa inyong mga paglapas.

²⁷And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,

²⁷Ug ming-abut sila pag-usab sa Jerusalem, ug sa nagalakaw siya sa templo, nanagpanuol kaniya ang mga punoan sa mga sacerdote ug ang mga escriba, ug ang mga anciano.

²⁸And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?

²⁸Ug sila nag-ingon kaniya: Tungod sa unsa nga pagbulot-an nga nagabuhat ikaw niining mga butanga? kun kinsa ang nagahatag kanimo niini nga pagbulot-an sa pagbuhat niining mga butanga?

²⁹And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

²⁹Ug si Jesus miingon kanila: Ako mangutana usab kaninyo ug usa ka butang, ug tubaga ako, ug ako magtug-an kaninyo kong sa unsa nga pagbulot-an ginabuhat ko kining mga butanga.

³⁰The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.

³⁰Ang bautismo ni Juan, gikan ba sa langit kun sa mga tawo? Tubaga ako.

³¹And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?

³¹Ug nanagtolotimbang sila sa ilang kaugalingon nga nagaingon: Kong kita magaingon: Gikan sa langit, moingon siya: Ngano man nga wala ninyo siya pagtohol?

³²But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.

³²Apan kong mag-ingon kita: Gikan sa mga tawo—nangahadlok sila sa lungsod, kay ang tanan sa pagkamatuod nagaila kang Juan ingon nga manalagna.

³³And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

³³Ug mingtubag sila ug nag-ingon kang Jesus: Wala kami manghibalo. Ug si Jesus miingon kanila: Ako dili usab magtug-an kaninyo kong sa unsa nga pagbulotan ginabuhat ko kining mga butanga.
