¹And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,

¹Ug sa nahiduol sila sa Jerusalem ug ming-abut sa Betfage, haduol sa bukid sa mga Olivo, si Jesus nagsugo sa duha sa iyang mga tinon-an,

²Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.

²Nga nagaingon kanila: Umadto kamo sa lungsod nga anaa sa atubangan ninyo, ug gilayon, hingkaplagan ninyo ang usa ka asna nga gihigut, ug ang usa ka nati uban kaniya; hubari ninyo ug dad-a sila kanako.

³And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.

³Ug kong adunay mosulti kaninyo sa bisan unsa, mag-ingon kamo kaniya: ang Ginoo nagakinahanglan kanila; ug gilayon igapadala sila.

⁴All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,

⁴Karon kini nahatabo aron matuman ang gisulti sa manalagna nga nagaingon:

⁵Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

⁵Ingnon ninyo ang anak nga babaye ni Sion; Ania karon, ang imong Hari nagaanhi kanimo nga maaghup ug nagakabayo sa usa ka asna, ug usa ka nati nga anak sa asna.

⁶And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,

⁶Ug nangadto ang mga tinon-an ug gibuhat nila ingon sa gisugo kanila ni Jesus.

⁷And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.

⁷Ug gidala nila ang asna ug ang nati, ug gihapinan nila sa ilang mga kupo, ug siya mikabayo kaniya.

⁸And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.

⁸Ug ang kadaghanan sa mga tawo nanagpamuklad sa ilang mga bisti sa dalan, ug ang uban namutol sa mga sanga sa mga kahoy, ug gipangatag nila sa dalan.

⁹And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

⁹Ug ang mga panon sa katawohan nga nanagpanguna kaniya, ug ang mga nanagsunod, nanagsinggit nga nagaingon: Hosanna sa Anak ni David! Dalayegon ang nagaanhi sa ngalan sa Ginoo! Hosanna sa kahitas-an!

¹⁰And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?

¹⁰Ug sa misulod si Jesus sa Jerusalem, naukay ang tibook nga ciudad, nga nagaingon: Kinsa kini?

¹¹And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

¹¹Ug ang mga panon sa katawohan nanag-ingon: Kini mao si Jesus, ang manalagna nga Nazaretnon sa Galilea.

¹²And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

¹²Ug misulod si Jesus sa templo sa Dios, ug giabug niya paingon sa gawas ang tanang mga nagabaligya ug mga nagapalit sa templo; ug gipukan niya ang mga lamesa sa mga mag-iilis sa salapi, ug ang mga lingkoranan sa mga nagabaligya sa mga salampati;

¹³And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

¹³Ug nag-ingon kanila: Nahisulat na: Ang akong balay paganganlan balay sa pag-ampo; apan ginabuhat ninyo nga lungib sa mga tulisan!

¹⁴And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

¹⁴Ug miduol kaniya ang mga buta ug mga bakul sa templo, ug iyang giayo sila.

¹⁵And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased,

¹⁵Apan sa hingkit-an sa mga punoan sa mga sacerdote ug sa mga escriba ang mga katingalahan nga iyang gibuhat, ug ang mga bata nga nagahugyaw sa templo nga nanag-ingon: Hosanna sa Anak ni David! sila nanagpanuyo pag-ayo.

¹⁶And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

¹⁶Ug nanag-ingon kaniya: Hingdunggan mo ba kining ginaingon nila? Si Jesus miingon kanila: Oo. Wala ba gayud ninyo hibasahi: Sa baba sa mga bata ug sa mga nagasuso, gihingpit mo ang pagdayeg?

¹⁷And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.

¹⁷Ug iyang gibiyaan sila, ug migula siya sa gawas sa ciudad ngadto sa Betania, ug mipahulay didto.

¹⁸Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.

¹⁸Ug sa pagkabuntag, sa mibalik siya sa ciudad gigutom siya.

¹⁹And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

¹⁹Ug sa hingkit-an niya ang usa ka kahoy nga higuera diha sa daplin sa dalan, iyang giduol ug wala siyay hingkit-an kaniya bisan unsa kondili mga dahon lamang. Ug gipamulongan niya: Wala na gayud ing bunga nga mogula kanimo bisan kanus-a pa! Ug dihadiha nalaya ang kahoy nga higuera.

²⁰And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!

²⁰Ug sa hingkit-an kini sa mga tinon-an nanghibulong sila, nga nagaingon: Pagkakalit nga nalaya ang kahoy nga higuera?

²¹Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

²¹Ug sa mitubag si Jesus nag-ingon kanila: Sa pagkamatuod nagaingon ako kaninyo, kong may pagtoo kamo ug dili magduhaduha, dili lamang mahimo ninyo kini sa kahoy nga higuera, kondili usab hangtud sa mga bukid mag-ingon kamo: Matumpag ka, ug lumayat ka sa dagat, ug kini mahimo.

²²And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

²²Ug ang tanang mga butang nga inyong pangayoon sa pag-ampo, kong kamo adunay pagtoo, madawat ninyo.

²³And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?

²³Ug sa misulod siya sa templo, ang mga punoan sa mga sacerdote ug mga anciano sa lungsod mingduol kaniya sa nagapanudlo pa siya, nga nagaingon: Tungod sa unsa nga pagbulot-an nagabuhat ikaw niining mga butanga? Ug kinsa ba ang nagahatag kanimo niining pagbulot-an?

²⁴And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things.

²⁴Ug sa mitubag si Jesus miingon kanila: Ako usab mangutana kaninyo sa usa ka butang nga kong inyo akong saysayan, ako usab magasaysay kaninyo kong sa unsa nga pagbulot-an gibuhat ko kining mga butanga.

²⁵The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?

²⁵Ang bautismo ni Juan, diin ba gikan? Gikan sa langit, kun sa mga tawo ba? Ug sila nagatolotimbang sa ilang kaugalingon nga nagaingon: Kong mag-ingon kita: Sa langit, magaingon siya kanato: Ngano man nga wala ninyo siya pagtohoi?

²⁶But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.

²⁶Apan kong mag-ingon kita: Sa mga tawo, mahadlok kita sa panon sa katawohan, kay ang tanan nagaila kang Juan ingon nga manalagna.

²⁷And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

²⁷Ug mitubag sila kang Jesus, ug miingon: Wala kami manghibalo. Siya miingon usab kanila: Ug ako usab dili magsaysay kaninyo kong sa unsa nga pagbulot-an nga ginahimo ko kining mga butanga.

²⁸But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.

²⁸Apan unsay hunahuna ninyo? Usa ka tawo adunay duha ka anak nga lalake; ug sa miduol siya sa nahauna, nag-ingon: Anak, umadto ka sa pagbuhat karon sa akong parrasan.

²⁹He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.

²⁹Ug siya mitubag ug miingon: Dili ako buot; apan unya sa nakahinulsol, miadto.

³⁰And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.

³⁰Ug sa miduol sa ikaduha, giingon niya sa mao usab nga pagkaagi. Ug kini siya, sa mitubag, nag-ingon: Ako moadto, Ginoo; apan wala moadto.

³¹Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

³¹Kinsa kanilang duha ang nagbuhat sa kabubut-on sa ilang amahan? Nanag-ingon sila: Ang nahauna. Nagaingon kanila si Jesus: Sa pagkamatuod nagaingon ako kaninyo nga ang mga maniningil sa buhis ug ang mga bigaon magasulod pag-una kaninyo sa gingharian sa Dios.

³²For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

³²Kay mianhi si Juan kaninyo sa dalan sa pagkamatarung, ug wala kamo managtoo kaniya; apan ang mga maniningil sa buhis ug ang mga bigaon nanagtoo kaniya; ug kamo, sa hingkit-an ninyo kini, wala ngani kamo managhinulsol bisan na lamang sa ulahi aron sa pagtoo kaniya.

³³Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:

³³Patalinghugi ninyo ang lain nga sambingay: May usa ka tawo nga pangulo sa panimalay nga nakatanum sa usa ka parrasan, ug gipalikusan niya sa usa ka koral, ug iyang gipakalutan sa usa ka pug-anan, ug gipatindogan sa usa ka torre, ug gipaabangan niya sa pila ka mag-uuma, ug milangyaw siya sa laing yuta.

³⁴And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.

³⁴Ug sa haduol na ang panahon sa tingbunga, gipaadtoan niya sa iyang mga ulipon ang mga mag-uuma sa pagdawat sa iyang mga abut.

³⁵And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.

³⁵Ug gidakup sa mga mag-uuma ang iyang mga ulipon; ang usa gihampak nila, ang usa gipatay, ug ang usa gibato.

³⁶Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.

³⁶Gipaadtoan na usab niya sa ubang mga ulipon nga labi pa kadaghan kay sa mga nahauna, ug ilang gibuhatan sila sa mao usab nga pagkaagi.

³⁷But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.

³⁷Ug sa katapusan iyang gipaadtoan sila sa iyang anak, nga nagaingon: Ang akong anak pagatahuron nila.

³⁸But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

³⁸Apan ang mga mag-uuma, sa hingkit-an nila ang anak, nasig-ingon sila sa ilang kaugalingon: Kini mao ang manununod, umari kamo, patyon ta siya, ug angkonon ta ang iyang panolondon.

³⁹And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.

³⁹Ug ilang gidakup siya, ug giabug nila sa gawas sa parrasan, ug gipatay nila.

⁴⁰When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?

⁴⁰Busa kong moanhi ang tag-iya sa parrasan, unsay pagabuhaton niya niadtong mga mag-uuma?

⁴¹They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

⁴¹Sila nagaingon kaniya: Ang mga dautan pagalaglagon niya sa dinautan gayud, ug iyang pagapaabangan ang parrasan sa laing mga mag-uuma nga magahatag kaniya sa mga bunga sa ilang mga panahon.

⁴²Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

⁴²Si Jesus nagaingon kanila: Wala ba ninyo hibasahi sa mga Kasulatan: Ang bato nga gisalikway sa mga magtutukod, kini nahimong pangulo nga bato sa pamag-ang, sa Ginoo nagagikan kini, ug makapahibulong ba sa atong mga mata?

⁴³Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

⁴³Busa nag-ingon ako kaninyo, nga pagakuhaon kaninyo ang gingharian sa Dios, ug igahatag sa usa ka nasud nga makapamunga sa mga bunga niya.

⁴⁴And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

⁴⁴Ug kadtong mahulog sa ibabaw niining bato, mangabuak sa tinipiktipik; apan kong kinsa ang mahulogan niya, pagatibulaagon siya sama sa abug.

⁴⁵And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

⁴⁵Ug sa hingdunggan sa mga punoan sa mga sacerdote ug sa mga Fariseo ang iyang mga sambingay, hingsabutan nila nga nagasulti siya mahitungod kanila.

⁴⁶But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.

⁴⁶Ug sa nagtinguha sila sa pagdakup kaniya, nahadlok sila sa mga panon sa katawohan kay ilang ginapakamanalagna siya.
