¹Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

¹Vaimuandide suhtes, vennad, ei taha ma jätta teid teadmatusse.

²Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

²Te teate, et kui te olite paganad, siis te läksite tummade ebajumalate juurde, just nagu oleks teid tagant sunnitud.

³Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

³Seepärast ma teatan teile, et ükski, kes Jumala Vaimus räägib, ei ütle: 'Neetud olgu Jeesus!' ning ükski ei suuda öelda: 'Jeesus on Issand!' muidu kui Pühas Vaimus.

⁴Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

⁴Armuandides on küll erinevusi, aga Vaim on seesama,

⁵And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

⁵ja teenimisviisides on erinevusi, aga Issand on seesama,

⁶And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

⁶ja väeavaldustes on erinevusi, aga Jumal on seesama, kes teeb kõike kõikides.

⁷But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

⁷Aga igaühele antakse Vaimu avaldus ühiseks kasuks.

⁸For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

⁸Nii antakse ühele Vaimu kaudu tarkusesõna, teisele aga tunnetusesõna sellesama Vaimu poolt;

⁹To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

⁹ühele usku sessamas Vaimus, teisele aga tervendamise armuande ikka samas Vaimus;

¹⁰To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

¹⁰ühele väge imetegudeks, teisele prohvetlikku kuulutamist, kolmandale võimet eristada vaime; ühele mitmesuguseid võõraid keeli, teisele aga keelte tõlgendamist.

¹¹But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

¹¹Aga kõike seda teeb üks ja sama Vaim, jagades igaühele eriosa, nõnda nagu tema tahab.

¹²For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

¹²Sest nii nagu ihu on üks tervik ja sel on palju liikmeid, aga kõik selle ihu liikmed, kuigi neid on palju, on üks ihu, nõnda on ka Kristus.

¹³For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

¹³Sest meie kõik oleme ühe Vaimuga ristitud üheks ihuks, olgu juudid või kreeklased, olgu orjad või vabad, ning me kõik oleme joodetud ühe Vaimuga.

¹⁴For the body is not one member, but many.

¹⁴Sest ihu ei ole üks liige, vaid paljud liikmed.

¹⁵If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

¹⁵Kui jalg ütleks: 'Et ma ei ole käsi, siis ma ei kuulu ihusse', kas ta sellepärast ei kuulu ihusse?

¹⁶And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

¹⁶Ja kui kõrv ütleks: 'Et ma ei ole silm, siis ma ei kuulu ihusse', kas ta sellepärast ei kuulu ihusse?

¹⁷If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

¹⁷Kui kogu ihu oleks silm, kuhu jääks siis kuulmine? Kui kogu ihu oleks kuulmine, kuhu jääks siis haistmine?

¹⁸But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

¹⁸Aga nüüd on Jumal seadnud iga üksiku liikme ihu külge, nõnda nagu tema tahtis.

¹⁹And if they were all one member, where were the body?

¹⁹Kui aga need kõik oleksid üks liige, kuhu jääks siis ihu?

²⁰But now are they many members, yet but one body.

²⁰Nüüd on aga küll palju liikmeid, kuid üks ihu.

²¹And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

²¹Ent silm ei või öelda käele: 'Mul ei ole sind tarvis!' või jälle pea jalgadele: 'Mul ei ole teid tarvis!',

²²Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

²²vaid hoopis vastupidi - need ihuliikmed, mis tunduvad olevat nõrgemad, on tingimata vajalikud,

²³And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

²³ja neid, mis meile ihus tunduvad olevat autumad, ümbritseme erilise auga, ning oma näotuile liikmeile anname rohkem nägusust.

²⁴For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.

²⁴Meie nägusail liikmeil ei ole seda ju tarvis. Kuid Jumal on ihu nõnda seadnud, et ta on andnud puudulikumale rohkem au,

²⁵That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

²⁵et ihus ei oleks lõhestumist, vaid et liikmed üksmeelselt muretseksid üksteise eest.

²⁶And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

²⁶Ja kui üks liige kannatab, siis kannatavad koos temaga kõik liikmed, ja kui ühte liiget austatakse, siis rõõmustavad sellest ühtlasi kõik liikmed.

²⁷Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

²⁷Teie olete aga Kristuse ihu ning igaüks omast kohast tema liikmed.

²⁸And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

²⁸Ja Jumal on seadnud koguduses esmalt mõned apostleiks, teiseks prohveteiks, kolmandaks õpetajaiks; seejärel tulevad imeteod, seejärel armuannid tervendamiseks, abistamiseks, juhtimiseks, mitmesugusteks keelteks.

²⁹Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

²⁹Ega kõik ole apostlid? Ega kõik prohvetid? Ega kõik õpetajad?

³⁰Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

³⁰Ega kõigil ole tervendamisandisid? Ega kõik räägi keeli? Ega kõik tõlgenda neid?

³¹But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

³¹Aga taotlege suuremaid armuande!Ja ma näitan teile veel ülevama tee.
