1Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
1მაშინ იესუ აღმოიყვანა უდაბნოდ სულისაგან გამოცდად ეშმაკისაგან.
2And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
2და იმარხა ორმეოცი დღე და ორმეოცი ღამე და მერმე შეემშია.
3And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
3მოუჴდა მას გამომცდელი იგი და ჰრქუა: უკუეთუ შენ ხარ ძე ღმრთისაჲ, თქუ, რაჲთა ქვანი ესე პურ იქმნენ.
4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
4ხოლო იესუ მიუგო და ჰრქუა: წერილ არს, რამეთუ: არა პურითა ხოლო ცხოვნდების კაცი, არამედ ყოვლითა სიტყჳთა, რომელი გამოვალს პირისაგან ღმრთისა.
5Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
5მაშინ წარიყვანა იგი ეშმაკმან მან წმიდასა ქალაქსა და დაადგინა იგი სართულსა მას ზედა ტაძრისასა
6And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
6და ჰრქუა მას: უკუეთუ ძე ხარ ღმრთისაჲ, გარდაიგდე თავი შენი ამიერ ქუეყანად, რამეთუ წერილ არს, ვითარმედ: ანგელოზთა მისთადა უბრძანებიეს შენთჳს, და ჴელთა მათთა ზედა აღგიპყრან შენ, ნუსადა წარსცე ქვასა ფერჴი შენი.
7Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
7ჰრქუა მას იესუ: კუალად წერილ არს: არა განსცადო უფალი ღმერთი შენი.
8Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
8კუალად წარიყვანა იგი ეშმაკმან მთასა ფრიად მაღალსა და უჩუენნა მას ყოველნი სუფევანი სოფლისანი და დიდებაჲ მათი
9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
9და ჰრქუა მას: ესე ყოველი მიგცე შენ, უკუეთუ დაჰვარდე და თაყუანის-მცე მე.
10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
10მაშინ ჰრქუა მას იესუ: წარვედ ჩემგან მართლუკუნ, სატანა, რამეთუ წერილ არს: უფალსა ღმერთსა შენსა თაყუანის-სცე და მას მხოლოსა ჰმსახურებდე.
11Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
11მაშინ დაუტევა იგი ეშმაკმან მან, და ანგელოზნი მოვიდეს და ჰმსახურებდეს მას.
12Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
12ხოლო ესმა რაჲ იესუს, ვითარმედ იოვანე მიეცა, განეშორა და წარვიდა გალილეად.
13And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
13და დაუტევა ნაზარეთი და მოვიდა და დაემკჳდრა კაპერნაუმს, საზღვართა ზაბულონისთა და ნეფთალემისთა,
14That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
14რაჲთა აღესრულოს თქუმული იგი ესაია წინასწარმეტყუელისაჲ, რომელსა იტყჳს:
15The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
15ქუეყანაჲ ზაბულონისი და ქუეყანაჲ ნეფთალემისი, გზაჲ ზღჳსაჲ წიაღ-იორდანესა, გალილეაჲ წარმართთაჲ.
16The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
16ერი რომელი სხდა ბნელსა, იხილა ნათელი დიდი, და რომელნი სხდეს სოფელსა და აჩრდილთა სიკუდილისათა, ნათელი აღმოუბრწყინდა მათ.
17From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
17მიერითგან იწყო იესუ ქადაგებად და სიტყუად: შეინანეთ, რამეთუ მოახლებულ არს სასუფეველი ცათაჲ.
18And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
18და იქცეოდა რაჲ იესუ ზღჳსკიდესა მას გალილეაჲსასა, იხილნა ორნი ძმანი: სიმონ, რომელსა ეწოდა პეტრე, და ანდრეა, ძმაჲ მისი, ითხევლიდეს რაჲ სათხევლითა ზღუასა მას, რამეთუ იყვნეს მესათხევლე.
19And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
19და ჰრქუა მათ: მოვედით და შემომიდეგით მე, და გყვნე თქუენ მესათხევლე კაცთა.
20And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
20ხოლო მათ მეყსეულად დაუტევეს ბადე მათი და შეუდგეს მას.
21And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
21და წარმოვიდა მიერ და იხილნა სხუანი ორნი ძმანი: იაკობ ზებედესი და იოვანე, ძმაჲ მისი, ნავსა შინა ზებედეს თანა, მამისა მათისა, გან-რაჲ-აგდებდეს ბადეთა მათთა, და უწოდა მათ.
22And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
22ხოლო მათ მეყსეულად დაუტევეს ნავი იგი და მამაჲ მათი და მისდევდეს მას.
23And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
23და მოჰვლიდა იესუ ყოველსა გალილეასა და ასწავებდა შესაკრებელთა შორის მათთა და ქადაგებდა სახარებასა სასუფეველისასა და განჰკურნებდა ყოველსა სენსა და ყოველსა უძლურებასა ერსა შორის.
24And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
24და განითქუა ჰამბავი მისი ყოველსა ქუეყანასა ასურასტანისასა. და მოჰგურიდეს მას ყოველთა ბოროტად სნეულთა თითო-სახეთაგან სენთა და გუემითა შეპყრობილთა და ეშმაკეულთა და ცისად-ცისად გუემულთა და განრღუეულთა, და განკურნა იგინი.
25And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.
25და მისდევდა მას ერი მრავალი გალილეაჲთ და ათქალაქით და იერუსალჱმით და ჰურიასტანით და წიაღ-იორდანით.
