1And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
1და ვითარცა იხილა იესუ ერი იგი, აღვიდა მთასა და დაჯდა იგი მუნ. და მოუჴდეს მას მოწაფენი მისნი.
2And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
2და აღაღო პირი თჳსი, ასწავებდა მათ და ეტყოდა:
3Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
3ნეტარ იყვნენ გლახაკნი სულითა, რამეთუ მათი არს სასუფეველი ცათაჲ.
4Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
4ნეტარ იყვნენ მგლოვარენი გულითა, რამეთუ იგინი ნუგეშინის-ცემულ იქმნნენ.
5Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
5ნეტარ იყვნენ მშჳდნი, რამეთუ მათ დაიმკჳდრონ ქუეყანაჲ.
6Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
6ნეტარ იყვნენ, რომელთა ჰშიოდის და სწყუროდის სიმართლისათჳს, რამეთუ იგინი განძღენ.
7Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
7ნეტარ იყვნენ მოწყალენი, რამეთუ იგინი შეიწყალნენ.
8Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
8ნეტარ იყვნენ წმიდანი გულითა, რამეთუ მათ ღმერთი იხილონ.
9Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
9ნეტარ იყვნენ მშჳდობის-მყოფელნი, რამეთუ იგინი ძედ ღმრთისად იწოდნენ.
10Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
10ნეტარ იყვნენ დევნულნი სიმართლისათჳს, რამეთუ მათი არს სასუფეველი ცათაჲ.
11Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
11ნეტარ იყვნეთ თქუენ, რაჟამს გყუედრიდენ და გდევნიდენ და თქუან ყოველი სიტყვაჲ ბოროტი თქუნდა მომართ სიცრუვით ჩემთჳს.
12Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
12გიხაროდენ და მხიარულ იყვენით, რამეთუ სასყიდელი თქუენი ფრიად არს ცათა შინა, რამეთუ ეგრეთვე დევნნეს წინასწარმეტყუელნი უწინარეს თქუენსა.
13Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
13თქუენ ხართ მარილნი ქუეყანისანი. უკუეთუ მარილი იგი განქარდეს, რაჲთა-მე დაიმარილოს? არღარა შემძლებელნ არნ მერმე, არამედ განგდებად გარე და დათრგუნვად კაცთა მიერ.
14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
14თქუენ ხართ ნათელნი სოფლისანი. ვერ ჴელ-ეწიფების ქალაქსა დაფარვად, მთასა ზედა დაშენებულსა.
15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
15არცა აღანთიან სანთელი და დადგიან ქუეშე ჴჳმირსა, არამედ სასანთლესა ზედა, და ჰნათობნ იგი ყოველთა, რომელნი იყვნიან სახლსა შინა.
16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
16ეგრეთ ბრწყინევდინ ნათელი თქუენი წინაშე კაცთა, რაჲთა იხილონ საქმენი თქუენნი კეთილნი და ადიდებდენ მამასა თქუენსა ზეცათასა.
17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
17ნუ ჰგონებთმ ვითარმედ მოვედ დაჴსნად სჯულისა გინა წინასწარმეტყველთა; არა მოვედ დაჴსნად, არამედ აღსრულებად.
18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
18ამენ გეტყჳ თქუენ: ვიდრემდე წარჴდეს ცაჲ და ქუეყანაჲ, იოტაჲ ერთი გინა რქაჲ ერთი არა წარჴდეს სჯულისაგან და წინასწარმეტყუელთა, ვიდრემდის ყოველივე იქმნეს.
19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
19უკუეთუ ვინმე დაჰჴსნეს ერთი მცნებათა ამათგანი უმცირესთაჲ და ასწავოს ესრეთ კაცთა, უმცირეს ეწოდოს მას სასუფეველსა ცათასა; ხოლო რომელმან ყოს და ასწავოს, ამას დიდ ერქუას სასუფეველსა ცათასა.
20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
20ხოლო გეტყჳ თქუენ: უკუეთუ არა აღემატოს სიმართლე თქუენი უფროჲს მწიგნობართა და ფარისეველთა, ვერ შეხჳდეთ სასუფეველსა ცათასა.
21Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
21გესმა, რამეთუ ითქუა პირველთა მათ მიმართ: არა კაც-ჰკლა; ხოლო რომელმან მოკლას, თანა-მდებ არს სასჯელისა.
22But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
22ხოლო მე გეტყჳ თქუენ, რამეთუ რომელი განურისხნეს ძმასა თჳსსა ცუდად, თანა-მდებ არს სასჯელისა; და რომელმან ჰრქუას ძმასა თჳსსა რაკა, თანა-მდებ არს იგი კრებულისაგან განსლვად; და რომელმან ჰრქუას ძმასა თჳსსა ცოფ, თანა-მდებ არს იგი გეჰენიასა მას ცეცხლისასა.
23Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
23უკუეთუ შესწირვიდე შესაწირავსა საკურთხეველსა ზედა და მუნ მოგეჴსენოს შენ, ვითარმედ ძმაჲ შენი გულ-ძჳრ რაჲმე არს შენთჳს,
24Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
24დაუტევე შესაწირავი იგი წინაშე საკურთხეველსა მას და მივედ და დაეგე პირველად ძმასა შენსა და მაშინ მოვედ და შეწირე შესაწირავი შენი.
25Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
25იყავ კეთილად მცნობელ წინამოსაჯულისა მის შენისა ადრე, ვიდრემდე ხარ მის თანა გზასა ზედა, ნუუკუე მიგცეს შენ წინამოსაჯულმან მან შენმან მსაჯულსა და მსაჯულმან - მსახურსა, და საპყრობილედ შეჰვარდე.
26Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
26ამენ გეტყჳ შენ: ვერ გამოხჳდე მიერ, ვიდრე არა მისცე უკუანაჲსკნელი კოდრატი.
27Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
27გესმა, რამეთუ ითქუა: არა იმრუშო.
28But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
28ხოლო მე გეტყჳ თქუენ, რამეთუ ყოველი რომელი ხედვიდეს დედაკაცსა გულის-თქუმად მას, მუნვე იმრუშა მის თანა გულსა შინა თჳსსა.
29And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
29უკუეთუ თუალი შენი მარჯუენე გაცთუნებდეს შენ, აღმოიღე იგი და განაგდე შენგან, რამეთუ უმჯობეს არს შენდა, რაჲთა წარწყმდეს ერთი ასოთა შენთაგანი, ვიდრე არა ყოველი გუამი შენი შთავრდომად გეჰენიასა.
30And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30და უკუეთუ მარჯუენე ჴელი შენი გაცთუნებდეს შენ, მოიკუეთე იგი და განაგდე შენგან, რამეთუ უმჯობეს არს შენდა, რაჲთა წარწყმდეს ერთი ასოთა შენთაგანი, და არა ყოველი გუამი შენი შთავარდეს გეჰენიასა.
31It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
31თქუმულ არს, რამეთუ რომელმან განუტეოს ცოლი თჳსი, მიეცინ მას განსატევებელი.
32But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
32ხოლო მე გეტყჳ თქუენ, რამეთუ ყოველმან რომელმან განუტეოს ცოლი თჳსი თჳნიერ სიტყჳსა სიძვისა, მან ამრუშა იგი; და რომელმან განტევებული შეირთოს, მანცა იმრუშა.
33Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
33კუალად გესმა, რამეთუ ითქუა პირველთა მათ მიმართ: არა ცილი ჰფუცო, არამედ მისცე უფალსა ფიცი შენი.
34But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
34ხოლო მე გეტყჳ თქუენ არა ფუცად ყოვლადვე ნუცა ცასა, რამეთუ საყდარი არს ღმრთისაჲ;
35Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
35ნუცა ქუეყანასა, რამეთუ კუარცხლბეკი არს ფერჴთა მისთაჲ; ნუცა იერუსალჱმსა, რამეთუ ქალაქი არს მეუფისა დიდისაჲ.
36Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
36ნუცა თავსა შენსა ჰფუცავ, რამეთუ ვერ ძალ-გიც ერთისაცა თმისა განსპეტაკებად გინა დაშავებად.
37But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
37არამედ იყავნ სიტყუაჲ თქუენი ჰჱ ჰე და არაჲ არა. ხოლო უმეტესი ამათსა უკეთურისაგან არს.
38Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
38გესმა, რამეთუ თქუმულ არს: თუალი თუალისა წილ და კბილი კბილისა წილ.
39But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
39ხოლო მე გეტყჳ თქუენ: არა წინა-აღდგომად ბოროტისა, არამედ რომელმან გცეს შენ ყურიმალსა შენსა მარჯუენესა, მიუპყარ მას ერთკერძოჲცა.
40And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
40და რომელსა უნდეს სასჯელად და მიღებად კუართი შენი, მიუტევე მას სამოსელიცა შენი.
41And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
41და რომელი წარგიქცევდეს შენ მილიონ ერთ, მივლე მის თანა ორიცა.
42Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
42და რომელი გთხოვდეს შენ, მიეც; და რომელსა უნდეს სესხებად შენგან, ნუ გარე-მიიქცევი.
43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
43გესმა, რამეთუ თქუმულ არს: შეიყუარო მოყუასი შენი და მოიძულო მტერი შენი.
44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
44ხოლო მე გეტყჳ თქუენ: გიყუარდედ მტერნი თქუენნი და აკურთხევდით მწყევართა თქუენთა და კეთილსა უყოფდით მოძულეთა თქუენთა და ულოცევდით მათ, რომელნი გმძლავრობდენ თქუენ და გდევნიდენ თქუენ.
45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
45რაჲთა იყვნეთ თქუენ შვილ მამისა თქუენისა ზეცათაჲსა, რამეთუ მზე მისი აღმოვალს ბოროტთა ზედა და კეთილთა, და წჳმს მართალთა ზედა და ცრუთა.
46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
46უკუეთუ გიყუარდენ მოყუარენი ხოლო თქუენნი, რაჲ სასყიდელი გაქუს? რამეთუ მეზუერეთაცა ეგრეთვე ყვიან.
47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
47და უკუეთუ მოიკითხვიდეთ მეგობართა ხოლო თქუენთა, რასა უმეტეს იქმთ? ანუ არა მეზუერეთაცა ეგრეთვე ყვიანა?
48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
48იყვენით თქუენ სრულ, ვითარცა მამაჲ თქუენი ზეცათაჲ სრულ არს.
