1And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,
1Und Mose stieg von den Steppen Moabs auf den Berg Nebo, auf die Spitze des Pisga, Jericho gegenüber. Da zeigte ihm der HERR das ganze Land:
2And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,
2Gilead bis nach Dan, das ganze Naphtali, das Land Ephraim und Manasse und das ganze Land Juda bis zum westlichen Meer;
3And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.
3auch den Süden und den Kreis der Ebene von Jericho, der Palmenstadt, bis nach Zoar.
4And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
4Und der HERR sprach zu ihm: Dies ist das Land, welches ich Abraham, Isaak und Jakob zugeschworen habe, als ich sprach: «Deinem Samen will ich es geben!» Ich lasse es dich mit deinen Augen sehen, aber hinübergehen sollst du nicht.
5So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
5Also starb Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, daselbst im Lande der Moabiter, nach dem Befehl des HERRN;
6And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
6und er begrub ihn im Tal, im Lande Moab, Beth-Peor gegenüber; aber niemand hat sein Grab erfahren bis auf den heutigen Tag.
7And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
7Und Mose war hundertundzwanzig Jahre alt, da er starb: seine Augen waren nicht schwach geworden, und seine Kraft war nicht gewichen.
8And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
8Die Kinder Israel aber beweinten Mose in den Steppen Moabs dreißig Tage lang; dann hörten sie auf zu weinen und zu trauern um Mose.
9And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.
9Josua aber, der Sohn Nuns, war mit dem Geist der Weisheit erfüllt; denn Mose hatte seine Hände auf ihn gelegt; und die Kinder Israel gehorchten ihm und taten, wie der HERR Mose geboten hatte.
10And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,
10Es stand aber in Israel kein Prophet mehr auf wie Mose, welchen der HERR kannte von Angesicht zu Angesicht,
11In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
11in allen Zeichen und Wundern, zu welchen der HERR ihn beauftragt hatte, sie in Ägyptenland an dem Pharao und an allen seinen Knechten und an seinem ganzen Lande zu tun;
12And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses showed in the sight of all Israel.
12und in allen gewaltigen Handlungen und großen, bewunderungswürdigen Taten, welche Mose vor den Augen von ganz Israel verrichtete.
