1Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.
1[] <<Προσευχη του τεθλιμμενου, οταν αδημονη, και εκχεη το παραπονον αυτου ενωπιον του Κυριου.>> Κυριε, εισακουσον της προσευχης μου, και η κραυγη μου ας ελθη προς σε.
2Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
2Μη κρυψης το προσωπον σου απ' εμου· καθ' ην ημεραν θλιβομαι, κλινον προς εμε το ωτιον σου· καθ' ην ημεραν σε επικαλουμαι, ταχεως επακουε μου.
3For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.
3Διοτι εξελιπον ως καπνος αι ημεραι μου, και τα οστα μου ως φρυγανον κατεξηρανθησαν.
4My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.
4Επληγωθη η καρδια μου και εξηρανθη ως χορτος, ωστε ελησμονησα να τρωγω τον αρτον μου.
5By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.
5Απο φωνης του στεναγμου μου εκολληθησαν τα οστα μου εις το δερμα μου.
6I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.
6Κατεσταθην ομοιος του ερημικου πελεκανος· εγεινα ως νυκτοκοραξ εν ταις ερημοις.
7I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
7Αγρυπνω και ειμαι ως στρουθιον μοναζον επι δωματος.
8Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.
8Ολην την ημεραν με ονειδιζουσιν οι εχθροι μου· οι μαινομενοι ομνυουσι κατ' εμου.
9For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping.
9Διοτι εφαγον στακτην ως αρτον και συνεκερασα με δακρυα το ποτον μου,
10Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
10Εξ αιτιας της οργης σου και της αγανακτησεως σου· διοτι σηκωσας με ερριψας κατω.
11My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.
11Αι ημεραι μου παρερχονται ως σκια, και εγω εξηρανθην ως χορτος.
12But thou, O LORD, shall endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.
12[] Συ δε, Κυριε, εις τον αιωνα διαμενεις, και το μνημοσυνον σου εις γενεαν και γενεαν.
13Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
13Συ θελεις σηκωθη, θελεις σπλαγχνισθη την Σιων· διοτι ειναι καιρος να ελεησης αυτην, διοτι ο διωρισμενος καιρος εφθασεν.
14For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.
14Επειδη οι δουλοι σου αρεσκονται εις τους λιθους αυτης και σπλαγχνιζονται το χωμα αυτης.
15So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.
15Τοτε τα εθνη θελουσι φοβηθη το ονομα του Κυριου, και παντες οι βασιλεις της γης την δοξαν σου.
16When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
16Οταν ο Κυριος οικοδομηση την Σιων θελει φανη εν τη δοξα αυτου.
17He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
17Θελει επιβλεψει επι την προσευχην των εγκαταλελειμμενων και δεν θελει καταφρονησει την δεησιν αυτων.
18This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
18Τουτο θελει γραφθη δια την γενεαν την επερχομενην· και ο λαος, οστις θελει δημιουργηθη, θελει αινει τον Κυριον.
19For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;
19Διοτι εκυψεν εκ του υψους του αγιαστηριου αυτου, εξ ουρανου επεβλεψεν ο Κυριος επι την γην,
20To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
20δια να ακουση τον στεναγμον των δεσμιων, δια να λυση τους καταδεδικασμενους εις θανατον·
21To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
21δια να κηρυττωσιν εν Σιων το ονομα του Κυριου και την αινεσιν αυτου εν Ιερουσαλημ,
22When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
22οταν συναχθωσιν ομου οι λαοι και αι βασιλειαι, δια να δουλευσωσι τον Κυριον.
23He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.
23[] Ηδυνατισεν εν τη οδω την ισχυν μου· συνετεμε τας ημερας μου.
24I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.
24Εγω ειπα, μη με αρπασης, Θεε μου, εν τω ημισει των ημερων μου· τα ετη σου ειναι εις γενεας γενεων.
25Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
25Κατ' αρχας συ, Κυριε, την γην εθεμελιωσας, και εργα των χειρων σου ειναι οι ουρανοι.
26They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
26Αυτοι θελουσιν απολεσθη, συ δε διαμενεις· και παντες ως ιματιον θελουσι παλαιωθη· ως περιενδυμα θελεις τυλιξει αυτους, και θελουσιν αλλαχθη·
27But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
27συ ομως εισαι ο αυτος, και τα ετη σου δεν θελουσιν εκλειψει.
28The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.
28Οι υιοι των δουλων σου θελουσι κατοικει, και το σπερμα αυτων θελει διαμενει ενωπιον σου.
