1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
1לכן אחרי נצדקנו באמונה שלום לנו עם האלהים באדנינו ישוע המשיח׃
2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
2אשר בידו מצאנו באמונה מבוא אל החסד הזה אשר אנחנו עמדים בו ונתהלל בתקות כבוד האלהים׃
3And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
3ולא זאת בלבד כי אף נתהלל בצרות יען אשר ידענו כי הצרה מביאה לידי סבלנות׃
4And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
4והסבלנות לידי עמידה בנסיון והעמידה בנסיון לידי תקוה׃
5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
5והתקוה היא לא תביש כי הוצק בלבבנו אהבת אל על ידי רוח הקדש הנתן לנו׃
6For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
6כי המשיח בעודנו חלשים מת בעתו בעד הרעשים׃
7For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
7הן בעד הצדיק יקשה לאיש למות אכן למות בעד הטוב אולי ישאהו לבו׃
8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
8אבל בזאת הודיע האלהים את אהבתו אלינו כי המשיח מת בעדנו בהיותנו עוד חטאים׃
9Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
9ועתה אשר נצדקנו בדמו מה מאד נושע בו מן הקצף׃
10For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
10כי אם נרצינו לאלהים במות בנו בהיותנו איבים אף כי נושע עתה בחייו אחרי אשר נרצינו׃
11And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
11ולא זאת בלבד כי גם מתהללים אנחנו באלהים על יד אדנינו ישוע המשיח אשר בו עתה קבלנו את הרצוי׃
12Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
12לכן כאשר על ידי אדם אחד בא החטא לעולם והמות בעקב החטא וכן עבר המות על כל בני אדם מפני אשר כלם חטאו׃
13(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
13כי עד זמן התורה היה החטא בעולם אך לא יחשב חטא באין תורה׃
14Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
14אולם המות מלך מאדם עד משה גם על אלה אשר לא חטאו בדמיון עברת אדם הראשון אשר הוא דמות העתיד לבוא׃
15But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
15אך לא כדבר הפשע דבר המתנה כי אם בפשע האחד מתו הרבים אף כי חסד אלהים ומתנתו עדפו ערוף לרבים בחסד האדם האחד ישוע המשיח׃
16And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
16ולא כמו על ידי חטא אחד כן המתנה כי המשפט יצא מאחד לחיב אבל מתנת החסד היא לזכות מפשעים רבים׃
17For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
17כי אם בפשע האחד מלך המות על ידי האחד אף כי מקבלי עדף החסד ומתנת הצדקה ימלכו בחיים על ידי האחד ישוע המשיח׃
18Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
18לכן כאשר בפשע אחד נאשמו כל בני אדם ככה גם על ידי זכות אחת יזכו כל בני אדם לחיים׃
19For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
19כי כאשר במרי האדם האחד היו הרבים לחטאים ככה גם על ידי משמעת האחד יהיו הרבים לצדיקים׃
20Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
20אבל התורה נכנסה למען ירבה הפשע ובאשר רבה החטא עדף ממנו החסד׃
21That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
21למען כאשר מלך החטא במות ככה ימלך גם החסד על ידי הצדקה לחיי עולם בישוע המשיח אדנינו׃
