¹When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

¹主がシオンの繁栄を回復されたとき、われらは夢みる者のようであった。

²Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.

²その時われらの口は笑いで満たされ、われらの舌は喜びの声で満たされた。その時「主は彼らのために大いなる事をなされた」と言った者が、もろもろの国民の中にあった。

³The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

³主はわれらのために大いなる事をなされたので、われらは喜んだ。

⁴Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.

⁴主よ、どうか、われらの繁栄を、ネゲブの川のように回復してください。

⁵They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

⁵涙をもって種まく者は、喜びの声をもって刈り取る。種を携え、涙を流して出て行く者は、束を携え、喜びの声をあげて帰ってくるであろう。

⁶He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
