¹Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

¹主をほめたたえよ。主にむかって新しい歌をうたえ。聖徒のつどいで、主の誉を歌え。

²Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

²イスラエルにその造り主を喜ばせ、シオンの子らにその王を喜ばせよ。

³Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

³彼らに踊りをもって主のみ名をほめたたえさせ、鼓と琴とをもって主をほめ歌わせよ。

⁴For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

⁴主はおのが民を喜び、へりくだる者を勝利をもって飾られるからである。

⁵Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

⁵聖徒を栄光によって喜ばせ、その床の上で喜び歌わせよ。

⁶Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

⁶そののどには神をあがめる歌があり、その手にはもろ刃のつるぎがある。

⁷To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

⁷これはもろもろの国にあだを返し、もろもろの民を懲らし、

⁸To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

⁸彼らの王たちを鎖で縛り、彼らの貴人たちを鉄のかせで縛りつけ、しるされたさばきを彼らに行うためである。これはそのすべての聖徒に与えられる誉である。主をほめたたえよ。

⁹To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
