¹The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

³Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

³われらの神は来て、もだされない。み前には焼きつくす火があり、そのまわりには、はげしい暴風がある。

⁴He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

⁴神はその民をさばくために、上なる天および地に呼ばわれる、

⁵Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

⁵「いけにえをもってわたしと契約を結んだわが聖徒をわたしのもとに集めよ」と。

⁶And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

⁶天は神の義をあらわす、神はみずから、さばきぬしだからである。〔セラ

⁷Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.

⁷「わが民よ、聞け、わたしは言う。イスラエルよ、わたしはあなたにむかってあかしをなす。わたしは神、あなたの神である。

⁸I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.

⁸わたしがあなたを責めるのは、あなたのいけにえのゆえではない。あなたの燔祭はいつもわたしの前にある。

⁹I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.

⁹わたしはあなたの家から雄牛を取らない。またあなたのおりから雄やぎを取らない。

¹⁰For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

¹⁰林のすべての獣はわたしのもの、丘の上の千々の家畜もわたしのものである。

¹¹I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

¹¹わたしは空の鳥をことごとく知っている。野に動くすべてのものはわたしのものである。

¹²If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

¹²たといわたしは飢えても、あなたに告げない、世界とその中に満ちるものとはわたしのものだからである。

¹³Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

¹³わたしは雄牛の肉を食べ、雄やぎの血を飲むだろうか。

¹⁴Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

¹⁴感謝のいけにえを神にささげよ。あなたの誓いをいと高き者に果せ。

¹⁵And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

¹⁵悩みの日にわたしを呼べ、わたしはあなたを助け、あなたはわたしをあがめるであろう」。

¹⁶But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

¹⁶しかし神は悪しき者に言われる、「あなたはなんの権利があってわたしの定めを述べ、わたしの契約を口にするのか。

¹⁷Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee.

¹⁷あなたは教を憎み、わたしの言葉を捨て去った。

¹⁸When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.

¹⁸あなたは盗びとを見ればこれとむつみ、姦淫を行う者と交わる。

¹⁹Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.

¹⁹あなたはその口を悪にわたし、あなたの舌はたばかりを仕組む。

²⁰Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.

²⁰あなたは座してその兄弟をそしり、自分の母の子をののしる。

²¹These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

²¹あなたがこれらの事をしたのを、わたしが黙っていたので、あなたはわたしを全く自分とひとしい者と思った。しかしわたしはあなたを責め、あなたの目の前にその罪をならべる。

²²Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

²²神を忘れる者よ、このことを思え。さもないとわたしはあなたをかき裂く。そのときだれも助ける者はないであろう。感謝のいけにえをささげる者はわたしをあがめる。自分のおこないを慎む者にはわたしは神の救を示す」。

²³Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
