Hosea

7

1When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.
1Nak xcuaj raj xcolbaleb laj Israel, xjulticoß cue lix mâqueb li ralal xcßajol laj Efraín joß ajcuiß lix mâqueb laj Samaria. Nequeßbalakßin, nequeßelkßac saß rochocheb li ras rîtzßin, ut nequeßelkßac ajcuiß saß eb li be.
2And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.
2Incßaß nequeßxcßoxla nak lâin yôquin chixqßuebal retal lix mâusilaleb. Lâin nacuil nak li mâc yô chi numtâc saß xbêneb.

4They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened.
4Ut chixjunileb nequeßyumbêtac nequeßcoßbêtac. Chanchaneb jun li horno li quiqßueheß xxam chi saß, abanan incßaß quiqßueheß xxamlel chi us toj nak ac xyokßîc ut ac xsîpoß lix kßemal li caxlan cua.
5In the day of our king the princes have made him sick with bottles of wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners.
5Saß lix ninkße, li rey quicaltesîc xbaneb li nequeßcßanjelac chiru. Ut li rey qui-oc chixbânunquil li yibru naßleb saß xyânkeb li incßaß useb xnaßleb.
6For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire.
6Li râmeb chanchan jun li horno li yô xxamlel. Laj yîbom caxlan cua quixqßue li xam chi saß ut quicuar chiru li kßojyîn. Ut ekßela chic quixqßue chi us lix xamlel li horno. 9Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.

12When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard.

16They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
16Niquineßxtzßektâna ut nequeßxic riqßuin li jalanil dios. Chanchaneb li yocos aj tzimaj mâcßaß na-oc cuiß. Joßcan nak teßcamsîk riqßuin chßîchß li nequeßcßamoc be saß xyânkeb yal xban nak nequeßxnimobresi ribeb riqßuin li cßaßru nequeßxye. Ut xban aßan teßseßêk xbaneb laj Egipto.
