1The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him.
1Li rey Lemuel quixye resil li naßleb li quicßuteß chiru xban lix naß nak quiyeheß re chi joßcaßin:
2What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows?
2—At inyum, lâin tzßakal lâ naß. Lâat qßuebilat chak cue xban li Dios xban nak xatintzßâma chiru.
3Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.
3Mâmux âcuib riqßuineb li ixk ut mâsach lâ yußam riqßuin xbânunquil li joß mâjoßil naßleb xban nak eb aßan narisi xcuanquileb li rey.
4It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
4At Lemuel, moco xcßulubeb ta eb li rey nak teßucßak vino, chi moco xcßulubeb li cuanqueb xcuanquil chi taklânc nak teßrucß li haß li nacaltesin.
5Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.
5Cui yôkeb chi calâc mâre anchal tâsachk saß xchßôleb li naxye saß li chakßrab ut incßaß chic teßrakok âtin saß xyâlal saß xbêneb li rahobtesinbileb.
6Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
6Canabomak li haß li nacaltesin chokß reheb li câmqueb re ut chokß reheb li cuanqueb saß raylal.
7Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
7Cheßrucßâk re nak tâsachk saß xchßôleb li raylal ut li rahobtesîc li yôqueb chixcßulbal.
8Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.
8Chat-oquênk ban chirixeb li incßaß naru teßxcol rib xjuneseb ut chacolakeb rix.
9Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
9Chat-âtinak chirixeb ut chatrakok âtin saß xyâlal saß xbêneb. Chatenkßaheb li nebaß joß eb ajcuiß li tenkßâc teßraj.—
10Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
10Junak ixakilbej châbil xnaßleb kßaxal chßaßaj xtaubal. Kßaxal lokß ut kßaxal terto xtzßak chiru li châbil pec perla.
11The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
11Lix bêlom cßojcßo xchßôl saß xbên aßan ut mâcßaß napaltoß reheb xban nak naxnau xjolominquil lix jun cablal.
12She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

13She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
13Naxqßue xchßôl chixyîbanquil li tßicr riqßuin lana ut lino. Ut nasahoß saß xchßôl chixbânunquil lix cßanjel.
14She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
14Li ixk aßan chanchan jun li jucub naxic chi najt chixcßambal li tzacaêmk.
15She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
15Toj mâjiß nasakêu nak nacuacli. Naxqßueheb chi cuaßac li ralal xcßajol ut naxqßueheb ajcuiß chi tzacânc lix môs ixk.
16She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
16Naxsicß jun sîrak li chßochß, naxlokß ut narau li uvas chi saß riqßuin li tumin li naxsicß.
17She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
17Cau xchßôl ut cau rib chi cßanjelac.
18She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
18Naril chi us lix cßanjel re nak us tâêlk chiru ut incßaß nahilan chi cßanjelac chi kßek.
19She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
19Naxyîb li nokß ut naxquem.
20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
20Rajlal naxtenkßaheb li teßraj tenkßâc ut naxtenkßaheb ajcuiß li mâcßaß cuan reheb.
21She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
21Incßaß nacßoxlac chirixeb li ralal xcßajol nak natßaneß li ratzßam que xban nak ac cuan tzßakal li rakßeb re teßxtzßap cuiß ribeb.
22She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
22Riqßuin rukß naxyîb li ris ut naxyîb ajcuiß li rakß aßan riqßuin li châbil tßicr lino.
23Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
23Ut lix bêlom naßno ru xbaneb chixjunileb li cuanqueb saß li tenamit xban nak aßan jun reheb li nequeßcßamoc be saß xyânkeb li tenamit.
24She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
24Li ixk aßan naxquem li tßicr lino ut naxquem li cßâmal saß ut naxcßayi reheb laj cßay.
25Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
25Li ixk aßan cau rib ut cuan xlokßal. Incßaß nacßoxlac chirix li cßaßru tâchâlk chiru mokon.
26She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
26Riqßuin li cßaßru naxye nacßutun nak cuan xnaßleb. Ut riqßuin châbilal naqßuehoc naßleb.
27She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
27Incßaß naxnumsi li cutan yal chi joßcan. Junelic ban naxqßue xchßôl xchßolaninquil lix jun cablal.
28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
28Li bêlomej naxqßue xlokßal li rixakil. Joßcan eb ajcuiß li ralal xcßajol nequeßxqßue ajcuiß xlokßal.
29Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
29Lix bêlom naxye re: —Nabaleb li ixk nequeßxbânu li us, abanan lâat li kßaxal châbil chiruheb chixjunileb, chan.
30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

31Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
