¹The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;

¹ខ្ញុំជាចាស់ទុំ សូមជំរាបមកលោកស្រី ដែលព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានជ្រើសរើស និង ជំរាបមកកូនចៅរបស់លោកស្រីដែលខ្ញុំស្រឡាញ់ តាមសេចក្ដីពិត មិនមែនតែខ្ញុំប៉ុណ្ណោះទេដែលស្រឡាញ់ គឺអស់អ្នកដែលបានស្គាល់សេចក្ដីពិត ក៏ស្រឡាញ់ដែរ

²For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

²ព្រោះតែសេចក្ដីពិតនៅជាប់នឹងយើងឥឡូវនេះ ហើយក៏នឹងនៅជាមួយយើង រៀងរហូតអស់កល្បជានិច្ច។

³Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

³សូមព្រះជាម្ចាស់ជាព្រះបិតា និង ព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រិស្ដ ជាព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះអង្គ ប្រទានព្រះគុណព្រះហឫទ័យមេត្ដាករុណា និង សេចក្ដីសុខសាន្ដមកយើងក្នុងសេចក្ដីពិត និង ក្នុងសេចក្ដីស្រឡាញ់។

⁴I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

⁴ខ្ញុំសប្បាយចិត្ដណាស់ ដោយបានឃើញកូនចៅរបស់លោកស្រីមួយចំនួន ប្រតិបត្ដិតាមសេចក្ដីពិត ស្របតាមបទបញ្ជាដែលយើងបានទទួលពីព្រះបិតាមក។

⁵And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

⁵ឥឡូវនេះ ខ្ញុំសូមអង្វរលោកស្រីថា យើងត្រូវស្រឡាញ់គ្នាទៅវិញទៅមក។ ខ្ញុំមិនសរសេរបទបញ្ជាថ្មីផ្ញើមកជូនទេ នេះគឺជាបទបញ្ជាដែលយើងបានទទួល តាំងពីដើមដំបូងមកម៉្លេះ។

⁶And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

⁶សេចក្ដីស្រឡាញ់មានដូចតទៅៈ យើងត្រូវតែប្រតិបត្ដិតាមបទបញ្ជាទាំងប៉ុន្មាន។ នេះហើយជាបទបញ្ជាដែលអ្នករាល់គ្នាបានឮតាំងពីដើមដំបូងមក ដើម្បីអោយអ្នករាល់គ្នាប្រតិបត្ដិតាម។

⁷For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

⁷មានអ្នកបោកបញ្ឆោតជាច្រើននាក់ បានចូលមកក្នុងលោកនេះ ពួកគេពុំទទួលស្គាល់ថាព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រិស្ដ បានយាងមកជាមនុស្សទេ។ ជនប្រភេទនេះហើយដែលជាអ្នកបោកបញ្ឆោត និង ជាមេប្រឆាំង ព្រះគ្រិស្ដ។

⁸Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

⁸ចូរមើលគ្នាឯងអោយមែនទែន ក្រែងខូចផលប្រយោជន៍នៃកិច្ចការដែលអ្នករាល់គ្នាបានធ្វើ។ ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ ចូរខំអោយបានទទួលរង្វាន់ដ៏បរិបូណ៌។

⁹Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

⁹អ្នកណាមិនស្ថិតនៅជាប់នឹងព្រះឱវាទរបស់ព្រះគ្រិស្ដ គឺទៅហួស អ្នកនោះគ្មានព្រះជាម្ចាស់គង់ជាមួយទេ។ អ្នកណាស្ថិតនៅជាប់នឹងព្រះឱវាទរបស់ព្រះគ្រិស្ដ ទើបមានព្រះបិតា និង ព្រះបុត្រាគង់ជាមួយ។

¹⁰If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

¹⁰ប្រសិនបើមាននរណាម្នាក់មករកអ្នករាល់គ្នា តែមិននាំព្រះឱវាទនេះមកទេ កុំទទួលគេនៅក្នុង ផ្ទះអ្នករាល់គ្នាឡើយ ហើយក៏មិនត្រូវជំរាបសួរគេផង

¹¹For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

¹¹ដ្បិតអ្នកណាជំរាបសួរមនុស្សបែបនេះក៏ដូចជាសមគំនិត នឹងអំពើអាក្រក់របស់គេដែរ។

¹²Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

¹²ខ្ញុំមានសេចក្ដីឯទៀតៗជាច្រើន ដែលត្រូវជំរាបអ្នករាល់គ្នា តែខ្ញុំមិនចង់សរសេរផ្ញើមក តាមរយៈក្រដាស និង ទឹកខ្មៅនេះទេ គឺខ្ញុំសង្ឃឹមថានឹងមកជួបអ្នករាល់គ្នានិយាយផ្ទាល់មាត់តែម្ដង ដើម្បីអោយយើងមានអំណរពេញលក្ខណៈ។

¹³The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.

¹³កូនចៅបងស្រីរបស់លោកស្រី គឺបងស្រីដែលព្រះអង្គបានជ្រើសរើសនោះ ក៏សូមជំរាបសួរមកលោកស្រីដែរ។
