1Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

2(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
2នាងម៉ារីនេះ ជាស្ដ្រីម្នាក់ដែលបានចាក់ប្រេងក្រអូបលើព្រះបាទារបស់ព្រះអម្ចាស់ព្រមទាំងបានយកសក់របស់នាងមកជូតផង។ រីឯលោកឡាសារដែលឈឺនោះ ត្រូវជាប្អូនបង្កើតរបស់នាង។
3Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
3នាងទាំងពីរនាក់បានចាត់គេអោយទៅទូលព្រះយេស៊ូថា៖ «លោកម្ចាស់អ្នកដែលលោកស្រឡាញ់ កំពុងតែមានជំងឺ»។
4When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
4កាលព្រះយេស៊ូជ្រាបដំណឹងនេះ ព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ជំងឺនេះកើតឡើង មិនមែនអោយគាត់បាត់បង់ជីវិតទេ គឺដើម្បីលើកតម្កើងសិរីរុងរឿងរបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ព្រមទាំងអោយព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះអង្គសំដែងសិរីរុងរឿងវិញ»។
5Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
5ព្រះយេស៊ូស្រឡាញ់នាងម៉ាថា ប្អូនស្រីរបស់នាង និង លោកឡាសារណាស់។
6When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
6កាលព្រះអង្គជ្រាបដំណឹងថា លោកឡាសារមានជំងឺ ព្រះអង្គគង់នៅកន្លែងដដែលនោះពីរថ្ងៃទៀត
7Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
7បន្ទាប់មកព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅពួកសិស្ស ថា៖ «យើងនាំគ្នាត្រឡប់ទៅស្រុកយូដាវិញ»។
8His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?
8ពួកសិស្សទូលព្រះអង្គថា៖ «ព្រះគ្រូ ជនជាតិយូដា ទើបនឹងចង់យកដុំថ្មគប់ធ្វើគុតព្រះអង្គថ្មីៗនេះសោះ ហេតុដូចម្ដេចបានជាព្រះអង្គចង់វិលទៅស្រុកនោះវិញ!»។
9Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
9ព្រះយេស៊ូមានព្រះបន្ទូលតបថា៖ «ក្នុងមួយថ្ងៃមានដប់ពីរម៉ោង អ្នកណាដើរនៅពេលថ្ងៃ អ្នកនោះមិនជំពប់ជើងដួលឡើយ ព្រោះគេឃើញពន្លឺរបស់ពិភពលោកនេះ។
10But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
10ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ អ្នកណាដើរនៅពេលយប់ អ្នកនោះមុខតែជំពប់ជើងដួលជាមិនខានព្រោះគេគ្មានពន្លឺនៅក្នុងខ្លួនទេ»។
11These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
11ក្រោយមក ព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅគេថែមទៀតថា៖ «ឡាសារជាមិត្ដសំឡាញ់របស់យើងសំរាន្ដលក់ទៅ ហើយ ខ្ញុំត្រូវតែទៅដាស់គាត់ អោយភ្ញាក់ឡើងវិញ»។
12Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
12ពួកសិស្សទូលព្រះអង្គថា៖ «បពិត្រព្រះអម្ចាស់ ប្រសិនបើគាត់សំរាន្ដលក់ដូច្នេះគាត់នឹងបានជាវិញមិនខាន»។
13Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
13តាមពិតព្រះយេស៊ូចង់មានព្រះបន្ទូលថា លោកឡាសារស្លាប់បាត់ទៅហើយ ប៉ុន្ដែ ពួកសិស្សស្មានថាព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា គាត់សំរាន្ដលក់ធម្មតា។
14Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
14ហេតុនេះហើយបានជាព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលបញ្ជាក់យ៉ាងច្បាស់ថា៖ «ឡាសារស្លាប់ទៅហើយ
15And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
15បើគិតពីប្រយោជន៍អ្នករាល់គ្នា ខ្ញុំសប្បាយចិត្ដ ដោយខ្ញុំមិនបាននៅទីនោះ ដើម្បីអោយអ្នករាល់គ្នាបានជឿ។ ឥឡូវនេះយើងនាំគ្នាទៅផ្ទះគាត់»។
16Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
16ពេលនោះ សិស្សថូម៉ាស់ ហៅឌីឌីម ពោលទៅសិស្សឯទៀតថា៖ «មក! យើងនាំគ្នាទៅរួមស្លាប់ជាមួយព្រះអង្គដែរ!»។
17Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.
17កាលព្រះយេស៊ូយាងទៅដល់ ព្រះអង្គក៏ជ្រាបថាគេបានដាក់សពលោកឡាសារក្នុងផ្នូរ បួនថ្ងៃហើយ។
18Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:
18ភូមិបេថានីមានចម្ងាយប្រមាណបីគីឡូម៉ែត្រពីក្រុងយេរូសាឡឹម។
19And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.
19មានជនជាតិយូដាជាច្រើននាំគ្នាមកជួយរំលែកទុក្ខនាងម៉ាថា និង នាងម៉ារីក្នុងពេលប្អូនស្លាប់។
20Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.
20កាលនាងម៉ាថាបានដឹងថា ព្រះយេស៊ូយាងមកដល់ នាងក៏ចេញទៅទទួលព្រះអង្គ រីឯនាងម៉ារីវិញ នាងអង្គុយនៅក្នុងផ្ទះ។
21Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
21នាងម៉ាថាទូលព្រះយេស៊ូថា៖ «លោកម្ចាស់ ប្រសិនបើលោកបាននៅទីនេះប្អូននាងខ្ញុំមិនស្លាប់ទេ។
22But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
22ប៉ុន្ដែ ឥឡូវនេះ នាងខ្ញុំដឹងថាបើលោកសុំអ្វីពីព្រះជាម្ចាស់ក៏ដោយ ព្រះអង្គមុខជានឹងប្រទានអោយមិនខាន»។
23Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
23ព្រះយេស៊ូមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅនាងថា៖ «ប្អូននាងនឹងរស់ឡើងវិញ»។
24Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
24នាងទូលទៅព្រះអង្គវិញថា៖ «នាងខ្ញុំដឹងហើយ នៅថ្ងៃចុងក្រោយបំផុត កាលណាមនុស្សស្លាប់នឹងរស់ឡើងវិញ ប្អូននាងខ្ញុំក៏នឹងរស់ឡើងវិញដែរ»។
25Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
25ព្រះយេស៊ូមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅនាងថា៖ «ខ្ញុំហ្នឹងហើយដែលប្រោសមនុស្សអោយរស់ឡើងវិញ ខ្ញុំនឹងផ្ដល់អោយគេមានជីវិត។ អ្នកណាជឿលើខ្ញុំ ទោះបីស្លាប់ទៅហើយក៏ដោយ ក៏នឹងបានរស់ជាមិនខាន។
26And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
26រីឯអស់អ្នកដែលកំពុងតែមានជីវិតនៅរស់ ហើយជឿលើខ្ញុំ មិនស្លាប់សោះឡើយ តើនាងជឿសេចក្ដីនេះឬទេ?»។
27She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
27នាងម៉ាថាទូលព្រះអង្គថា៖ «បពិត្រព្រះអម្ចាស់! ខ្ញុំម្ចាស់ជឿថា ព្រះអង្គពិតជាព្រះគ្រិស្ដ ជាព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ហើយពិតជាព្រះអង្គដែលត្រូវយាងមកក្នុងពិភពលោកនេះមែន!»។
28And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.
28នាងម៉ាថានិយាយដូច្នេះហើយ ក៏ចេញទៅហៅនាងម៉ារីជាប្អូន ដោយស្ងាត់ៗថា៖ «ព្រះគ្រូយាងមកដល់ហើយព្រះអង្គហៅប្អូនឯង»។
29As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.
29នាងម៉ារីឮហើយក៏ស្ទុះក្រោកឡើង ទៅគាល់ព្រះយេស៊ូជាប្រញាប់។
30Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.
30ពេលនោះ ព្រះអង្គពុំទាន់យាងចូលក្នុងភូមិនៅឡើយទេ គឺព្រះអង្គគង់នៅកន្លែងដែលនាងម៉ាថាទៅជួប។
31The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there.
31ជនជាតិយូដា ដែលមកជួយរំលែកទុក្ខក្នុងផ្ទះជាមួយនាងម៉ារី ឃើញនាងស្ទុះក្រោកឡើង ប្រញាប់ប្រញាល់ចេញទៅខាងក្រៅដូច្នេះ ក៏នាំគ្នាចេញទៅតាម ព្រោះគេស្មានថានាងទៅយំឯផ្នូរ។
32Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
32លុះនាងម៉ារីទៅដល់កន្លែងព្រះយេស៊ូគង់នៅហើយ នាងឃើញព្រះអង្គក៏ក្រាបទៀបព្រះបាទាទូលថា៖ «លោកម្ចាស់! ប្រសិនបើលោកបាននៅទីនេះ ប្អូនប្រុសនាងខ្ញុំមិនស្លាប់ទេ»។
33When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled.
33ពេលព្រះយេស៊ូឃើញនាងម៉ារី និង ជនជាតិយូដាដែលមកជាមួយនាងយំដូច្នេះ ព្រះអង្គរំជួលព្រះហឫទ័យ ហើយរន្ធត់ជាខ្លាំងផង។
34And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.
34ព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលសួរថា៖ «តើអ្នករាល់គ្នាយកសពទៅទុកនៅឯណា?»។ គេទូលព្រះអង្គថា៖ «សូមអញ្ជើញមកលោកនឹងឃើញ»។
35Jesus wept.
35ពេលនោះ ព្រះយេស៊ូទ្រង់ព្រះកន្សែង។
36Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
36ជនជាតិយូដានាំគ្នាពោលថា៖ «មើល៍! លោកស្រឡាញ់ឡាសារខ្លាំងណាស់!»។
37And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?
37ប៉ុន្តែ នៅក្នុងចំណោមពួកគេ មានអ្នកខ្លះនិយាយថា៖ «លោកអាចធ្វើអោយមនុស្សខ្វាក់មើលឃើញ ម្ដេចក៏លោកមិនធ្វើអោយឡាសារគេចផុតពីស្លាប់ផងទៅ!»។
38Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
38ព្រះយេស៊ូរំជួលព្រះហឫទ័យម្ដងទៀត រួចយាងទៅផ្នូរ។ ផ្នូរនោះជារូងភ្នំមានថ្មបាំងនៅមាត់រូង។
39Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
39ព្រះយេស៊ូមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖«សុំយកថ្មនេះចេញ!»។ នាងម៉ាថាជាបងរបស់សពទូលព្រះអង្គថា៖«បពិត្រព្រះអម្ចាស់ សពធំក្លិនហើយ ព្រោះគេបានយកមកដាក់ តាំងពីបួនថ្ងៃម៉្លេះ»។
40Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
40ព្រះយេស៊ូមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅនាងថា៖«ខ្ញុំបានប្រាប់នាងរួចមកហើយថាបើនាងជឿ នាងនឹងឃើញសិរីរុងរឿងរបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់»។
41Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
41គេក៏យកថ្មចេញពីមាត់ផ្នូរ។ ព្រះយេស៊ូងើបព្រះភ័ក្ដ្រទតទៅលើ មានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «បពិត្រព្រះបិតា ទូលបង្គំសូមអរព្រះគុណព្រះអង្គ ដែលទ្រង់ព្រះសណ្ដាប់ទូលបង្គំ។
42And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
42ចំពោះទូលបង្គំ ទូលបង្គំដឹងថា ព្រះអង្គទ្រង់ព្រះសណ្ដាប់ទូលបង្គំជានិច្ច ប៉ុន្ដែ ទូលបង្គំទូលព្រះអង្គដូច្នេះ ដើម្បីអោយបណ្ដាជនដែលនៅជុំវិញទូលបង្គំជឿថា ព្រះអង្គពិតជាបានចាត់ទូលបង្គំអោយមកមែន»។
43And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
43លុះព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលដូច្នេះហើយ ទ្រង់បន្លឺព្រះសូរសៀងខ្លាំងៗថា៖ «ឡាសារអើយ!ចេញមក!»។
44And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
44ពេលនោះ លោកឡាសារដែលបានស្លាប់ ក៏ចេញពីផ្នូរមក មានទាំងក្រណាត់រុំដៃជើង និង កន្សែងគ្របមុខផង។ ព្រះយេស៊ូមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅពួកគេថា៖ «សុំស្រាយក្រណាត់ចេញពីគាត់ ហើយអោយគាត់ទៅចុះ»។
45Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.
45ជនជាតិយូដាជាច្រើននាក់ ដែលមកផ្ទះនាងម៉ារីបានឃើញព្រះយេស៊ូធ្វើកិច្ចការទាំងនោះ ក៏ជឿលើព្រះអង្គ។
46But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.
46ប៉ុន្ដែ មានគ្នាគេខ្លះទៅជួបពួកខាងគណៈផារីស៊ី រៀបរាប់នូវកិច្ចការដែលព្រះយេស៊ូបានធ្វើ។
47Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.
47ពេលនោះ ពួកនាយកបូជាចារ្យ និង ពួកខាងគណៈផារីស៊ី បានកោះហៅក្រុមប្រឹក្សាជាន់ខ្ពស់ មកប្រជុំហើយពោលថា៖ «អ្នកនោះបានធ្វើទីសំគាល់ជាច្រើនតើយើងគិតធ្វើដូចម្ដេច?។
48If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
48ប្រសិនបើយើងបណ្ដោយអោយគាត់ធ្វើដូច្នេះតទៅទៀត ប្រជាជនមុខតែជឿទៅលើគាត់ទាំងអស់គ្នា ហើយជនជាតិរ៉ូមុំាងនឹងមកបំផ្លាញព្រះវិហារ និង បំបាត់ជាតិសាសន៍របស់យើងជាមិនខាន»។
49And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,
49នៅក្នុងចំណោមពួកគេមានលោកម្នាក់ឈ្មោះ កៃផា ដែលជាមហាបូជាចារ្យនៅឆ្នាំនោះ លោកមានប្រសាសន៍ទៅគេថា៖ «អស់លោកពុំយល់អ្វីសោះ!
50Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
50តើអស់លោកគិតមិនឃើញទេឬថា បើមនុស្សតែម្នាក់ស្លាប់ ជាប្រយោជន៍ដល់ប្រជារាស្ដ្រនោះ ប្រសើរជាងទុកអោយជាតិទាំងមូលត្រូវវិនាស!»។
51And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
51លោកមានប្រសាសន៍ដូច្នេះ មិនមែនផុសចេញពីគំនិតខ្លួនឯងផ្ទាល់ឡើយ គឺក្នុងឋានៈជាមហាបូជាចារ្យនៅឆ្នាំនោះ លោកបានទាយថាព្រះយេស៊ូត្រូវសោយទិវង្គត ដើម្បីជាប្រយោជន៍ដល់សាសន៍យូដា
52And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
52មិនគ្រាន់តែជាប្រយោជន៍ដល់សាសន៍នេះប៉ុណ្ណោះទេគឺដើម្បីអោយកូនចៅរបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ដែលបែកខ្ញែកគ្នា មករួបរួមជាប្រជាជនតែមួយ។
53Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.
53តាំងពីថ្ងៃនោះមក ពួកនាយកបូជាចារ្យ និង ពួកខាងគណៈផារីស៊ី បានសំរេចធ្វើគុតព្រះយេស៊ូ។
54Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.
54ហេតុដូច្នេះហើយបានជាព្រះអង្គមិនយាងទៅមក ដោយចេញមុខអោយជនជាតិយូដាឃើញទៀតឡើយ គឺព្រះអង្គចាកចេញពីទីនោះ ឆ្ពោះទៅតំបន់ជិតវាលរហោស្ថាន ត្រង់ភូមិមួយឈ្មោះអេប្រាអ៊ីមហើយទ្រង់ស្នាក់នៅ ក្នុងភូមិនោះជាមួយពួកសិស្ស ។
55And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.
55ពេលនោះ ជិតដល់ថ្ងៃបុណ្យចម្លង របស់ជនជាតិយូដាហើយ។ អ្នកស្រុកជាច្រើន នាំគ្នាឡើងទៅក្រុងយេរូសាឡឹម មុនថ្ងៃបុណ្យ ដើម្បីធ្វើពិធីជំរះកាយអោយបានបរិសុទ្ធ ។
56Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast?
56គេរកព្រះយេស៊ូ ហើយនិយាយគ្នាទៅវិញទៅមកក្នុងព្រះវិហារ ថា៖ «អ្នកគិតដូចម្ដេច? លោកមិនហ៊ានមកចូលរួមក្នុងពិធីបុណ្យទេមើលទៅ!»។
57Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him.
57ពួកនាយកបូជាចារ្យ និង ពួកខាងគណៈផារីស៊ីបានចេញបញ្ជាថា បើអ្នកណាដឹងព្រះអង្គគង់នៅឯណា ត្រូវប្រាប់ពួកគេ ដើម្បីអោយគេចាប់ព្រះអង្គ។
