¹Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

¹Bet, brāļi, es negribu, ka jūs nezinātu par garīgajām dāvanām.

²Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

²Jūs zināt, ka jūs, kamēr bijāt pagāni, gājāt pie mēmajiem elkiem, it kā vesti.

³Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

³Tāpēc es jums paskaidroju, ka neviens, kas runā Dieva Garā, nesaka: Lāsts Jēzum. Un neviens nevar pateikt: Kungs Jēzus, kā tikai Svētajā Garā.

⁴Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

⁴Jo žēlastības ir dažādas, bet tas pats Gars.

⁵And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

⁵Un ir dažādas kalpošanas, bet tas pats Kungs.

⁶And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

⁶Un ir dažāda darbība, bet tas pats Dievs, kas visos visu dara.

⁷But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

⁷Bet ikvienam tiek dota Gara atklāsme, lai nestu svētību.

⁸For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

⁸Vienam caur Garu tiek doti gudrības vārdi, citam tanī pat Garā zinātnes vārdi,

⁹To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

⁹Citam ticība tai pašā Garā, citam dāvana dziedināt tanī pat vienā Garā,

¹⁰To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

¹⁰Citam darīt brīnumus, citam pravietot, citam pazīt garus, citam dažādas valodas, citam valodu tulkošana.

¹¹But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

¹¹Bet to visu dara viens un tas pats gars, piešķirdams katram, kā gribēdams.

¹²For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

¹²Jo kā viens ķermenis un tam daudz locekļu, bet visi ķermeņa locekļi, kaut gan to ir daudz, ir tikai viens ķermenis, tā arī Kristus.

¹³For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

¹³Jo vienā Garā mēs visi esam kristīti, vai tie būt jūdi vai pagāni, vai vergi, vai brīvie; un visi mēs ar vienu Garu esam dziedināti.

¹⁴For the body is not one member, but many.

¹⁴Jo arī ķermenis nesastāv no viena, bet no daudziem locekļiem.

¹⁵If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

¹⁵Ja kāja sacītu: Tā kā es neesmu roka, es nepiederu ķermenim, vai tāpēc tā nepiederētu ķermenim?

¹⁶And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

¹⁶Un ja auss sacītu: Tā kā es neesmu roka, es nepiederu ķermenim, vai tāpēc tā nepiederētu ķermenim?

¹⁷If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

¹⁷Ja viss ķermenis būtu acs, kur tad dzirde? Ja visa būtu dzirde, kur tad oža?

¹⁸But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

¹⁸Bet tagad Dievs nolicis katru locekli ķermenī tā, kā tas Viņam labpatika.

¹⁹And if they were all one member, where were the body?

¹⁹Ja visi tie būtu viens loceklis, kur tad ķermenis?

²⁰But now are they many members, yet but one body.

²⁰Bet tagad gan ir daudz locekļu, bet viens ķermenis.

²¹And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

²¹Bet acs nevar pateikt rokai: Man nevajag tavu darbu; vai atkal galva kājām: Jūs neesat man nepieciešamas.

²²Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

²²Bet jo vairāk tie ķermeņa locekļi, kuri šķietami ir tie vājākie, ir nepieciešamāki;

²³And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

²³Un tos ķermeņa locekļus, kurus mēs uzskatām par mazāk ievērojamiem, mēs turam sevišķā godā; un mūsu nepieklājīgajiem tiek veltīta lielāka pieklājība.

²⁴For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.

²⁴Bet tam, kas mūsos pieklājīgs, nevajag nekā. Bet Dievs mūsu ķermeni ir tā iekārtojis, ka lielāku cieņu piešķīris tam, kam tās trūka,

²⁵That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

²⁵Lai ķermenī nebūtu šķelšanās, bet lai locekļi tanī cits par citu rūpētos.

²⁶And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

²⁶Un kad viens loceklis cieš, tad visi locekļi cieš līdz; vai kad viens loceklis tiek godāts, tad visi locekļi priecājas līdz.

²⁷Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

²⁷Bet jūs esat Kristus ķermenis un loceklis pie locekļa.

²⁸And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

²⁸Un Dievs Baznīcā dažus iecēla: pirmkārt, par apustuļiem, otrkārt, par praviešiem, treškārt, par mācītājiem, tad deva spēku darīt brīnumus, tad dāvanas dziedināt, sniegt palīdzību, vadīt, runāt dažādās valodās, iztulkot runas.

²⁹Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

²⁹Vai tad visi ir apustuļi, vai visi pravieši, vai visi mācītāji?

³⁰Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

³⁰Vai visi ir brīnumdarītāji, vai visiem ir dāvanas dziedināt, vai visi runā mēlēs, vai visi tās iztulko?

³¹But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

³¹Bet jūs centieties pēc labākām žēlastībām; un pie tā es jums rādu vēl cēlāku ceļu.
