1If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

2Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
2Tad piepildiet manu prieku, būdami vienprātīgi, vienoti mīlestībā, vienoti domās un nodomos!
3Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
3Nedariet neko ķildas vai tukša goda dēļ, bet pazemībā viens otru uzskatiet augstāku par sevi!
4Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
4Nerūpējieties tikai par to, kas ir savs, bet arī par to, kas ir cita!
5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
5Esiet tādā pārliecībā kā Jēzus Kristus,
6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
6Kas, Dieva veidā būdams, neuzskatīja par laupījumu līdzināties Dievam.
7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
7Bet Viņš atteicās no sevis, pieņemdams kalpa veidu. Kļūdams cilvēkiem līdzīgs, Viņš ārīgi izskatījās kā cilvēks.
8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
8Viņš pazemojās, kļūdams paklausīgs līdz nāvei, līdz pat krusta nāvei.
9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
9Tāpēc arī Dievs Viņu paaugstinājis un devis Viņam vārdu pār visiem vārdiem,
10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
10Lai Jēzus vārdā ceļos kristu visi, kas debesīs, virs zemes un pazemē,
11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
11Un lai katra mēle apliecinātu, ka Kungs Jēzus Kristus ir Dieva Tēva godībā.
12Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
12Tāpēc, mani vismīļie, (kā jūs vienmēr bijāt paklausīgi) strādājiet savas pestīšanas labā bailēs un drebēšanā ne tikai manā klātbūtnē, bet vēl vairāk manā prombūtnē!
13For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
13Jo Dievs ir Tas, kas jūsos rada gribu un izpildīšanu pēc savas labpatikas.
14Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
14Dariet visu bez kurnēšanas un bez kavēšanās.
15That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
15Lai jūs būtu bez pārmetumiem un patiesi Dieva bērni, nevainojami ļaunas un samaitātas tautas vidū; starp tiem mirdziet kā spīdekļi pasaulē!
16Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
16Turiet dzīvības vārdu manam godam Kristus dienā, jo ne velti es skrēju, ne velti strādāju.
17Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
17Bet ja es tieku upurēts upurim un jūsu ticības kalpošanai, tad es priecājos un priecāšos kopā ar jums visiem.
18For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.
18Tāpat arī jūs priecājieties, priecādamies līdz ar mani!
19But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
19Bet Kungā Jēzū es ceru drīz sūtīt pie jums Timoteju, lai, uzzinājis, kā jums klājas, es būtu apmierināts.
20For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
20Jo man nav neviena tik vienprātīga, kas rūpētos sirsnīgā līdzdalībā par jums.
21For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
21Jo visi meklē savu, bet ne Jēzus Kristus labumu.
22But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.
22Bet viņa uzticamību pazīstiet no tā, ka viņš kopā ar mani kalpojis evaņģēlijam kā dēls tēvam.
23Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.
23Tāpēc es ceru sūtīt viņu pie jums, tiklīdz pārskatāms būs mans stāvoklis.
24But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.
24Bet es paļaujos uz Kungu, ka arī pats drīz pie jums aiziešu.
25Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
25Tomēr man šķita nepieciešami sūtīt pie jums Epafrodītu, manu brāli un līdzstrādnieku, un cīņas biedru, bet jūsu sūtni un palīgu manā trūkumā,
26For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.
26Tāpēc ka viņš ļoti ilgojās pēc jums visiem un bija nobēdājies par to, ka jūs dzirdējuši par viņa slimību.
27For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
27Viņš tiešām bija līdz nāvei slims; bet Dievs apžēloja viņu, un ne vien viņu, bet arī mani, lai man nebūtu bēdas uz bēdām.
28I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
28Tāpēc jo steidzīgāk es viņu sūtīju, lai jūs, viņu redzēdami, priecātos un man nebūtu rūpju.
29Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:
29Tātad uzņemiet viņu visā priekā Kunga vārdā un turiet viņu godā,
30Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
30Jo Kristus darba dēļ viņš nonāca tuvu nāvei, likdams savu dzīvību ķīlā, lai aizpildītu to, kas iztrūka no jūsu puses kalpošanā manā labā.
