¹Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

¹Pāvils, Jēzus Kristus kalps, aicināts apustulis, izredzēts Dieva evaņģēlijam,

²(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

²Ko Viņš jau iepriekš apsolīja svētajos Rakstos caur praviešiem

³Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

³Par savu Dēlu, kas pēc miesas Viņam cēlies no Dāvida cilts,

⁴And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

⁴Kas svētdarītājā Garā ar savu augšāmcelšanos no miroņiem spēkā parādījās Dieva Dēls, mūsu Kungs Jēzus Kristus.

⁵By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

⁵Caur Viņu mēs saņēmām žēlastību un apustuļa sūtību pakļaut visas tautas ticībai Viņa vārda dēļ.

⁶Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

⁶Tanī arī jūs esat Jēzus Kristus aicināti.

⁷To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁷Visiem Dieva mīļotājiem, aicinātajiem svētajiem Romā: žēlastība jums un miers no Dieva, mūsu Tēva, un no Kunga Jēzus Kristus!

⁸First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

⁸Vispirms es pateicos Dievam caur Jēzu Kristu par jums visiem, jo jūsu ticība tiek daudzināta visā pasaulē.

⁹For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

⁹Jo Dievs, kuram es savā garā Viņa Dēla evaņģēlijā kalpoju, ir mans liecinieks, ka es jūs bez mitēšanās pieminu.

¹⁰Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

¹⁰Savās lūgšanās, pastāvīgi lūgdams, lai man saskaņā ar Dieva prātu kādreiz kaut kā pašķirtos ceļš aiziet pie jums.

¹¹For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

¹¹Jo es ilgojos jūs redzēt, lai sniegtu jums kādu garīgu žēlastības dāvanu jūsu stiprināšanai,

¹²That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

¹²Tas ir, reizē ar jums gūtu iepriecinājumu savstarpējā ticībā, jūsējā un manējā.

¹³Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

¹³Bet es, brāļi, negribu atstāt jūs neziņā par to, ka es vairākkārt biju apņēmies jūs apmeklēt, lai iegūtu kādu augli arī starp jums tāpat kā starp pārējām tautām, (bet līdz šim tiku aizkavēts).

¹⁴I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

¹⁴Grieķiem un barbariem, mācītiem un nemācītiem es esmu parādnieks.

¹⁵So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

¹⁵Tāpēc (kas attiecas uz mani) es esmu gatavs sludināt evaņģēliju arī jums, kas esat Romā.

¹⁶For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

¹⁶Es nekaunos evaņģēlija, jo tas ir Dieva spēks katra ticīgā pestīšanai, vispirms jūda, tad grieķa.

¹⁷For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

¹⁷Jo tanī atklājas Dieva taisnība no ticības uz ticību, kā rakstīts: Taisnīgais dzīvo no ticības. (Hab.2,4)

¹⁸For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

¹⁸Jo Dieva dusmas parādās no debesīm pār katru to cilvēku bezdievību un netaisnību, kas Dieva patiesību nomāc netaisnībā,

¹⁹Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

¹⁹Jo kas par Dievu zināms, tas viņiem pasludināts, jo Dievs viņiem to ir atklājis.

²⁰For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

²⁰Jo tas, kas Viņā neredzams, un Viņa mūžīgais spēks, un dievība no pasaules radīšanas ir ar prātu saskatāmi Viņa darbos; tāpēc viņi ir neattaisnojami.

²¹Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

²¹Jo tie, pazinuši Dievu, negodināja Viņu kā Dievu un nebija Viņam pateicīgi, bet savās domās kļuva tukši, un viņu neprātīgā sirds tika aptumšota;

²²Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

²²Apgalvodami, ka viņi ir gudri, tie kļuva nelgas;

²³And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

²³Un nemirstīgā Dieva godību tie apmainīja pret iznīcīgajiem cilvēkiem un putniem, un četrkājaiņiem, un rāpuļiem līdzīgiem tēliem.

²⁴Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

²⁴Tāpēc Dievs viņus atstājis viņu siržu kārībām un nešķīstībai, lai tie paši apgānītu savas miesas.

²⁵Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

²⁵Dieva patiesību tie apmainīja pret meliem un pielūdza, un kalpoja drīzāk radībai nekā Radītājam, kas lai augsti teikts mūžīgi mūžos. Amen.

²⁶For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

²⁶Tāpēc Dievs tos atstājis kauna pilnām kārībām, jo viņu sievietes dabisko kopdzīvi apmainījušas pret pretdabisko.

²⁷And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

²⁷Tāpat arī vīrieši, atstādami dabisko kopdzīvi ar sievietēm, iedegās kaislībās viens pret otru, piekopdami netiklību vīrietis ar vīrieti un saņemdami nopelnīto sodu par saviem maldiem paši pie sevis.

²⁸And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

²⁸Un tāpēc, ka viņi neuzskatīja Dieva atzīšanu par vajadzīgu, Dievs tos atstāja izvirtušām tieksmēm, lai tie darītu to, kas neklājas.

²⁹Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

²⁹Viņi ir visādām netaisnībām, ļaunprātībām, netiklībām, mantkārībām, ļaunumiem pārpildīti; viņi ir pilni skaudības, slepkavību, ķildu, viltības, nedarbu, mēlnesības;

³⁰Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

³⁰Viņi ir neslavas cēlāji, Dieva nīdēji, ķengātāji, augstprātīgi, lielīgi, ļaunumu izgudrotāji, nepaklausīgi vecākiem,

³¹Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

³¹Neprātīgi, nesaticīgi, cietsirdīgi, neuzticīgi, nežēlīgi.

³²Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

³²Lai gan viņi Dieva taisnību pazina, tie nenojauta, ka tie, kas tā dara, ir pelnījuši nāvi; un ne tikai tie, kas tā dara, bet arī tie, kas darītājiem piekrīt.
