1I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
1Tātad es jautāju: Vai Dievs savu tautu ir atmetis? - Nekādā ziņā; jo arī es esmu izraēlietis, Ābrahama pēcnācējs, no Benjamīna cilts.
2God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying,
2Dievs nav atmetis savu tautu, kuru Viņš iepriekš bija izredzējis. Vai jūs nezināt, ko Raksti saka par Eliju, kā viņš žēlojās Dievam par Izraēli?
3Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
3Kungs, tie nogalināja Tavus praviešus, viņi nopostīja Tavus altārus, un es esmu viens atlicis, un viņi tiecas pēc manas dzīvības.
4But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
4Bet ko saka viņam Dieva atbilde? - Es atstāju sev septiņus tūkstošus vīru, kas savus ceļus nav locījuši Baala priekšā.
5Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
5Tā arī šinī laikā izglābts ir atlikums saskaņā ar žēlastības izvēli.
6And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
6Bet ja no žēlastības, tad jau ne darbu dēļ, citādi žēlastība nebūtu žēlastība.
7What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded.
7Kā tad ir? - Pēc kā tiecās Izraēlis, to viņš nav sasniedzis, tikai izredzētie to sasniedza, bet pārējie palika apstulbināti,
8(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
8Kā rakstīts: Dievs deva viņiem truluma garu: acis, lai neredzētu, un ausis, lai nedzirdētu līdz pat šai dienai.
9And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:
9Un Dāvids saka: Viņu galds lai tiem kļūst par slazdu un cilpu, un apgrēcību, un atmaksu.
10Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.
10Viņu acis lai tiek aptumšotas, ka tie neredzētu, un viņu muguras liec vienmēr!
11I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
11Tātad es jautāju: Vai viņi tā klupuši, lai kristu? Nekādā ziņā; bet viņu grēka dēļ pestīšana nākusi pagāniem, lai viņi ar tiem sacenstos.
12Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
12Bet ja viņu grēks ir pasaulei bagātība, un viņu mazais skaits pagāniem ieguvums, tad jo vairāk viņu pilnskaits.
13For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
13Un jums, pagāniem, es saku: Kamēr es esmu pagānu apustulis, es savu kalpošanu pagodināšu,
14If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
14Kaut kādā veidā pamudinādams savus ciltsbrāļus uz sacensību un dažus no viņiem izglābdams.
15For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
15Ja jau viņu atmešana ir izlīdzināšana pasaulei, kas tad būs pieņemšana, ja ne atdzīvināšana no mirušiem?
16For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
16Ja pirmupuris ir svēts, tad arī visa mīkla, un ja sakne ir svēta, tad arī zari.
17And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
17Bet ja daži zari nolauzti un tu, meža olīvkoka atvase, esi uzpotēta to vietā un esi kļuvusi olīvkoka saknes un sulas līdzdalībniece,
18Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
18Tad nelielies zaru priekšā! Bet ja lielies, tad zini, ka ne tu nes sakni, bet sakne tevi!
19Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
19Tu varbūt sacīsi: Zari tika nolauzti, lai mani uzpotētu.
20Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
20Labi! Tie nolauzti neticības dēļ, bet tu stāvi, pateicoties ticībai; neesi augstprātīgs, bet bijīgs!
21For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
21Jo ja Dievs nav saudzējis dabiskos zarus, tad taču arī tevi nesaudzēs.
22Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
22Tāpēc vēro Dieva labumu un bardzību: bardzību pret tiem, kas krituši, bet pret sevi Dieva labumu, ja tu labajā pastāvēsi, citādi arī tevi nocirtīs.
23And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
23Bet arī tie tiks uzpotēti, ja viņi nepaliks savā neticībā, jo Dievs ir spējīgs viņus atkal uzpotēt.
24For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
24Jo ja tu esi nocirsts no meža olīvkoka, kam pēc dabas piederi, un pret dabu uzpotēts labajam olīvkokam, tad jo vairāk tie, kas attiecīgi savai dabai tiek uzpotēti savam olīvkokam.
25For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
25Bet es jūs, brāļi, negribu atstāt neziņā par šo noslēpumu (lai jūs nekļūtu iedomīgi), ka viena Izraēļa daļa skarta ar aklumu, līdz kamēr tautu visums būs iegājis.
26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
26Un tā viss Izraēlis tiktu glābts, kā rakstīts: No Siona nāks Glābējs un novērsīs bezdievību no Jēkaba.
27For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
27Un šī ir mana derība ar viņiem, ka es piedošu viņu grēkus. (Is.59,20)
28As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes.
28Attiecībā uz evaņģēliju viņi ir ienaidnieki jūsu dēļ, bet kas attiecas uz izredzēšanu, viņi ir vismīļie sentēvu dēļ.
29For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
29Jo žēlastības dāvanas un aicinājumu Dievs nenožēlo.
30For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
30Jo kā arī jūs kādreiz neticējāt Dievam, bet tagad esat ieguvuši žēlsirdību viņu neticības dēļ,
31Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
31Tā arī viņi neticēja jūsu apžēlošanai, lai paši iegūtu apžēlošanu.
32For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
32Jo Dievs visu ieslēdzis neticībā, lai visus apžēlotu.
33O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
33Ak, kāds ir Dieva gudrības un zināšanas bagātību dziļums! Cik neizprotami ir Viņa lēmumi un neizdibināmi Viņa ceļi!
34For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
34Jo kas gan ir izpratis Dieva prātu, vai kas bijis Viņa padomdevējs?
35Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
35Vai kas Viņam iepriekš ko devis, lai saņemtu atlīdzinājumu?
36For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
36Jo no Viņa un caur Viņu, un Viņā ir viss. Viņam lai gods mūžīgi! Amen.
