1O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
1അഞ്ചാം പുസ്തകം
2Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
2യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്‍വിന്‍ ; അവന്‍ നല്ലവനല്ലോ അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു!
3And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
3യഹോവ വൈരിയുടെ കയ്യില്‍നിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുക്കയും കിഴക്കും പടിഞ്ഞാറും വടക്കും കടലിലും ഉള്ള
4They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
4ദേശങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നു കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ക്കയും ചെയ്തവരായ അവന്റെ വിമുക്തന്മാര്‍ അങ്ങനെ പറയട്ടെ.
5Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
5അവര്‍ മരുഭൂമിയില്‍ ജനസഞ്ചാരമില്ലാത്ത വഴിയില്‍ ഉഴന്നുനടന്നു; പാര്‍പ്പാന്‍ ഒരു പട്ടണവും അവര്‍ കണ്ടെത്തിയില്ല.
6Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
6അവര്‍ വിശന്നും ദാഹിച്ചും ഇരുന്നു; അവരുടെ പ്രാണന്‍ അവരുടെ ഉള്ളില്‍ തളര്‍ന്നു.
7And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
7അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില്‍ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന്‍ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു.
8Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
8അവര്‍ പാര്‍പ്പാന്‍ തക്ക പട്ടണത്തില്‍ ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്‍ അവരെ ചൊവ്വെയുള്ള വഴിയില്‍ നടത്തി.
9For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
9അവര്‍ യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില്‍ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.
10Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
10അവന്‍ ആര്‍ത്തിയുള്ളവന്നു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുകയും വിശപ്പുള്ളവനെ നന്മകൊണ്ടു നിറെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
11Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
11ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളോടു മത്സരിക്കയും അത്യുന്നതന്റെ ആലോചനയെ നിരസിക്കയും ചെയ്തിട്ടു ഇരുളിലും അന്ധതമസ്സിലും ഇരുന്നു
12Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
12അരിഷ്ടതയാലും ഇരുമ്പുചങ്ങലയാലും ബന്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര്‍ -
13Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
13അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അവന്‍ കഷ്ടതകൊണ്ടു താഴ്ത്തി; അവര്‍ ഇടറിവീണു; സഹായിപ്പാന്‍ ആരുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
14അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില്‍ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന്‍ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നു അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.
15Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
15അവന്‍ അവരെ ഇരുട്ടില്‍നിന്നും അന്ധതമസ്സില്‍നിന്നും പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു; അവരുടെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളെ അറുത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.
16For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
16അവര്‍ യഹോവയെ, അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില്‍ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.
17Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
17അവന്‍ താമ്രകതകുകളെ തകര്‍ത്തു, ഇരിമ്പോടാമ്പലുകളെ മുറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
18Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
18ഭോഷന്മാര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ ലംഘനങ്ങള്‍ ഹേതുവായും തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള്‍നിമിത്തവും കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു.
19Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
19അവര്‍ക്കും സകലവിധ ഭക്ഷണത്തോടും വെറുപ്പുതോന്നി; അവര്‍ മരണവാതിലുകളോടു സമീപിച്ചിരുന്നു.
20He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
20അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില്‍ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന്‍ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നു രക്ഷിച്ചു.
21Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
21അവന്‍ തന്റെ വചനത്തെ അയച്ചു അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി; അവരുടെ കുഴികളില്‍നിന്നു അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു.
22And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
22അവര്‍ യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില്‍ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.
23They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
23അവര്‍ സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങളെ കഴിക്കയും സംഗീതത്തോടുകൂടെ അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ വര്‍ണ്ണിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.
24These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
24കപ്പല്‍ കയറി സമുദ്രത്തില്‍ ഔടിയവര്‍, പെരുവെള്ളങ്ങളില്‍ വ്യാപാരം ചെയ്തവര്‍,
25For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
25അവര്‍ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെയും ആഴിയില്‍ അവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെയും കണ്ടു.
26They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
26അവന്‍ കല്പിച്ചു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു, അതു അതിലെ തിരകളെ പൊങ്ങുമാറാക്കി.
27They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.
27അവര്‍ ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു ഉയര്‍ന്നു, വീണ്ടും ആഴത്തിലേക്കു താണു, അവരുടെ പ്രാണന്‍ കഷ്ടത്താല്‍ ഉരുകിപ്പോയി.
28Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
28അവര്‍ മത്തനെപ്പോലെ തുള്ളി ചാഞ്ചാടിനടന്നു; അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധി പൊയ്പോയിരുന്നു.
29He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
29അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില്‍ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന്‍ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു.
30Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
30അവന്‍ കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിനെ ശാന്തമാക്കി; തിരമാലകള്‍ അടങ്ങി.
31Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
31ശാന്തത വന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവര്‍ സന്തോഷിച്ചു; അവര്‍ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച തുറമുഖത്തു അവന്‍ അവരെ എത്തിച്ചു.
32Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
32അവര്‍ യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില്‍ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.
33He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
33അവര്‍ ജനത്തിന്റെ സഭയില്‍ അവനെ പുകഴ്ത്തുകയും മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ സംഘത്തില്‍ അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടേ.
34A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
34നിവാസികളുടെ ദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തം അവന്‍ നദികളെ മരുഭൂമിയും
35He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
35നീരുറവുകളെ വരണ്ട നിലവും ഫലപ്രദമായ ഭൂമിയെ ഉവര്‍ന്നിലവും ആക്കി.
36And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
36അവന്‍ മരുഭൂമിയെ ജലതടാകവും വരണ്ട നിലത്തെ നീരുറവുകളും ആക്കി.
37And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
37വിശന്നവരെ അവന്‍ അവിടെ പാര്‍പ്പിച്ചു; അവര്‍ പാര്‍പ്പാന്‍ പട്ടണം ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും നിലം വിതെക്കയും
38He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
38മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കുകയും നമൃദ്ധിയായി ഫലങ്ങളെ അനുഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.
39Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
39അവന്‍ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു അവര്‍ അത്യന്തം പെരുകി; അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികള്‍ കുറഞ്ഞുപോകുവാന്‍ അവന്‍ ഇടവരുത്തിയില്ല.
40He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
40പീഡനവും കഷ്ടതയും സങ്കടവും ഹേതുവായി അവര്‍ പിന്നെയും കുറഞ്ഞു താണുപോയി.
41Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
41അവന്‍ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെമേല്‍ നിന്ദപകരുകയും വഴിയില്ലാത്ത ശൂന്യപ്രദേശത്തു അവരെ ഉഴലുമാറാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
42The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
42അവന്‍ ദരിദ്രനെ പീഡയില്‍നിന്നു ഉയര്‍ത്തി അവന്റെ കുലങ്ങളെ ആട്ടിന്‍ കൂട്ടംപോലെ ആക്കി.
43Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
43നേരുള്ളവര്‍ ഇതു കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കും; നീതികെട്ടവര്‍ ഒക്കെയും വായ്പൊത്തും.
44ജ്ഞാനമുള്ളവര്‍ ഇവയെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കും; അവര്‍ യഹോവയുടെ കൃപകളെ ചിന്തിക്കും.
