1Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
1ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ സങ്കടത്തില്‍ ഞാന്‍ കഴിക്കുന്ന അപേക്ഷ കേള്‍ക്കേണമേ; ശത്രുഭയത്തില്‍നിന്നു എന്റെ ജീവനെ പാലിക്കേണമേ;
2Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
2ദുഷ്കര്‍മ്മികളുടെ ഗൂഢാലോചനയിലും നീതികേടു പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കലഹത്തിലും ഞാന്‍ അകപ്പെടാതവണ്ണം എന്നെ മറെച്ചു കൊള്ളേണമേ.
3Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
3അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ നാവിനെ വാള്‍പോലെ മൂര്‍ച്ചയാക്കുന്നു; നിഷ്കളങ്കനെ ഒളിച്ചിരുന്നു എയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു
4That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
4അവര്‍ കൈപ്പുള്ള വാക്കായ അസ്ത്രം തൊടുക്കയും ശങ്കിക്കാതെ പെട്ടെന്നു അവനെ എയ്തുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
5They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
5ദുഷ്കാര്യത്തില്‍ അവര്‍ തങ്ങളെ തന്നേ ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ഒളിച്ചു കണിവേക്കുവാന്‍ തമ്മില്‍ പറഞ്ഞൊക്കുന്നു; നമ്മെ ആര്‍ കാണും എന്നു അവര്‍ പറയുന്നു.
6They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
6അവര്‍ ദ്രോഹസൂത്രങ്ങളെ കണ്ടുപിടിക്കുന്നു; നമുക്കു ഒരു സൂക്ഷ്മസൂത്രം സാധിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു പറയുന്നു; ഔരോരുത്തന്റെ അന്തരംഗവും ഹൃദയവും അഗാധം തന്നേ.
7But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
7എന്നാല്‍ ദൈവം അവരെ എയ്യും; അമ്പുകൊണ്ടു അവര്‍ പെട്ടന്നു മുറിവേലക്കും.
8So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
8അങ്ങനെ സ്വന്തനാവു അവര്‍ക്കും വിരോധമായിരിക്കയാല്‍ അവര്‍ ഇടറിവീഴുവാന്‍ ഇടയാകും; അവരെ കാണുന്നവരൊക്കെയും തല കുലുക്കുന്നു.
9And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
9അങ്ങനെ സകലമനുഷ്യരും ഭയപ്പെട്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കും; അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ അവര്‍ ചിന്തിക്കും.
10The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
10നീതിമാന്‍ യഹോവയില്‍ ആനന്ദിച്ചു അവനെ ശരണമാക്കും; ഹൃദയപരമാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ എല്ലാവരും പുകഴും. (സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്കു ഒരു സങ്കീര്‍ത്തനം; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ഗീതം.)
