1O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
1ദൈവമേ, നീ എന്റെ ദൈവം; അതികാലത്തേ ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും; വെള്ളമില്ലാതെ ഉണങ്ങി വരണ്ട ദേശത്തു എന്റെ ഉള്ളം നിനക്കായി ദാഹിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദേഹം നിനക്കായി കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
2To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
2അങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ ബലവും മഹത്വവും കാണേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില്‍ നിന്നെ നോക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
3Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
3നിന്റെ ദയ ജീവനെക്കാള്‍ നല്ലതാകുന്നു; എന്റെ അധരങ്ങള്‍ നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കും.
4Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
4എന്റെ ജീവകാലം ഒക്കെയും ഞാന്‍ അങ്ങനെ നിന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തും; നിന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ ഞാന്‍ എന്റെ കൈകളെ മലര്‍ത്തും.
5My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
5എന്റെ കിടക്കയില്‍ നിന്നെ ഔര്‍ക്കയും ഞാന്‍ രാത്രിയാമങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നെ ധ്യാനിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍
6When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
6എന്റെ പ്രാണന്നു മജ്ജയും മേദസ്സുംകൊണ്ടു എന്നപോലെ തൃപ്തിവരുന്നു; എന്റെ വായ് സന്തോഷമുള്ള അധരങ്ങളാല്‍ നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നു.
7Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
7നീ എനിക്കു സഹായമായിത്തീര്‍ന്നുവല്ലോ; നിന്റെ ചിറകിന്‍ നിഴലില്‍ ഞാന്‍ ഘോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കുന്നു.
8My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
8എന്റെ ഉള്ളം നിന്നോടു പറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ എന്നെ താങ്ങുന്നു.
9But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
9എന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ സ്വന്തനാശത്തിന്നായി എനിക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാന്‍ നോക്കുന്നു; അവര്‍ ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗങ്ങളിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോകും.
10They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
10അവരെ വാളിന്റെ ശക്തിക്കു ഏല്പിക്കും; കുറുനരികള്‍ക്കു അവര്‍ ഇരയായ്തീരും.
11But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
11എന്നാല്‍ രാജാവു ദൈവത്തില്‍ സന്തോഷിക്കും അവന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നവനെല്ലാം പുകഴും; എങ്കിലും ഭോഷകു പറയുന്നവരുടെ വായ് അടഞ്ഞുപോകും. (സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്കു; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീര്‍ത്തനം.)
