¹Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,

¹नंतर ईयोब आपले बोलणे पुढे चालू ठेवत म्हणाला:

²As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;

²“खरोखरच देव आहे. आणि तो आहे हे जसे खरे आहे तसेच तो माझ्या बाबतीत अन्यायी होता हे ही खरे आहे. होय, त्या सर्वशक्तिमान देवाने माझे जीवन कडू करुन टाकले.

³All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

³परंतु जोपर्यंत माझ्यात जीव आहे आणि देवाचा जिवंत श्वास माझ्या नाकात आहे तोपर्यंत,

⁴My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

⁴माझे ओठ वाईट गोष्टी बोलणार नाहीत आणि माझी जीभ खोटे सांगणार नाही.

⁵God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.

⁵तुम्ही बरोबर आहात हेही मी कधी मान्य करणार नाही. मी निरपराध आहे हेच मी मरेपर्यंत सांगत राहीन.

⁶My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

⁶मी ज्या चांगल्या गोष्टी केल्या त्यांना मी चिकटून राहीन. चांगले वागणे मी कधीही सोडणार नाही. मरेपर्यंत माझे मन मला कधीही खाणार नाही.

⁷Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.

⁷“लोक माझ्याविरुध्द उभे राहिले. वाईट माणसांना जशी शिक्षा होते तशी माझ्या शत्रूंना व्हावी अशी मी आशा करतो.

⁸For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

⁸जर एखादा माणूस देवाला मानत नसेल तर तो मेल्यावर त्याला कसलीच आशा राहाणार नाही. देव त्याचे आयुष्य संपवतो तेव्हा त्याला आशा करायला जागा नसते.

⁹Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?

⁹त्या दुष्ट माणसावर संकटे येतील आणि तो देवाच्या मदतीसाठी रडेल. पण देव त्याचे ऐकणार नाही.

¹⁰Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?

¹⁰त्याने सर्वशक्तिमान देवाशी बोलून आनंद मिळवायला हवा होता. त्याने नेहमी देवाची प्रार्थना करायला हवी होती.

¹¹I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.

¹¹“मी तुम्हाला देवाच्या सामर्थ्याविषयी सांगू शकेन. सर्वशक्तिमान देवाच्या योजना मी तुमच्या पासून लपवणार नाही.

¹²Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?

¹²तुम्ही देवाचे सामर्थ्य तुमच्या डोळ्यांनी पाहिले आहे. मग तुम्ही असे निरर्थक का बोलता?

¹³This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.

¹³देवाने वाईट लोकांसाठी हीच योजना आखली होती. आणि सर्वशक्तिमान देवाकडून दुष्टांना हेच मिळाले होते.

¹⁴If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.

¹⁴दुष्ट माणसाला खूप मुले असतील परंतु त्याची मुले लढाईत मरतील. दुष्ट माणसाच्या मुलांना पुरेसे खायला मिळणार नाही.

¹⁵Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.

¹⁵त्याची सर्व मुले मरतील आणि त्याच्या विधवेला दु:ख वाटणार नाही.

¹⁶Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;

¹⁶दुष्ट माणसाला इतकी चांदी मिळेल की ती त्याला मातीमोल वाटेल, त्याला इतके कपडे मिळतील की ते त्याला मातीच्या ढिगाप्रमाणे वाटतील.

¹⁷He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

¹⁷परंतु चागंल्या माणसाला त्याचे कपडे मिळतील आणि निरपराध्याला त्याची चांदी मिळेल.

¹⁸He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.

¹⁸दुष्ट माणूस घर बांधेल परंतु ते जासत दिवस टिकणार नाही. ते कोळ्याच्या जाळ्याप्रमाणे किंवा रखवालदारच्या तंबूप्रमाणे असेल.

¹⁹The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.

¹⁹दुष्ट माणूस झोपी गेल्यावर श्रीमंत होईल. परंतु जेव्हा तो डोळे उघडेल तेव्हा त्याची श्रीमंती नष्ट झालेली असेल.

²⁰Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.

²⁰तो घाबरेल, महापुराने आणि वादळाने सर्वकाही वाहून न्यावे तसे होईल.

²¹The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.

²¹पूर्वेचा वारा त्याला वाहून नेईल आणि तो जाईल. वादळ त्याला त्याच्या घरातून उडवून लावेल.

²²For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.

²²दुष्ट माणूस वादळाच्या शक्तीपासून पळून जाण्याचा प्रयत्न करील परंतु कसलीही दयामाया न दाखवता वादळ त्याच्यावर आदळेल.

²³Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.

²³दुष्ट माणूस पळून गेला म्हणून लोक टाळ्या वाजवतील. तो आपल्या घरातून पळून जात असता लोक शिट्या मारतील.
