¹The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

¹ کلام خداوند متعال به من فرمود:

²Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

² «ای انسان فانی، به پادشاه صور بگو خداوند متعال چنین می‌فرماید: تو دلی مغرور داری و گفته‌ای که خدا هستی و در قلب دریاها برتخت خدایان نشسته‌ای، امّا تو انسان هستی و نه خدا. با وجودی که اندیشهٔ خود را با اندیشهٔ خدا مقایسه می‌کنی، امّا تو خدا نیستی، بلکه فقط انسانی فانی هستی.

³Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:

³ به راستی تو از دانیال حکیمتر هستی و هیچ رمزی از تو پوشیده نیست.

⁴With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:

⁴ با دانش و بینش خود ثروت اندوخته‌ای و طلا و نقره برای خزانهٔ خود گرد آورده‌ای.

⁵By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:

⁵ با دانش فراوانت در بازرگانی به ثروت خود افزوده‌ای و دلت به‌خاطر ثروت تو مغرور گشته است.»

⁶Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;

⁶ بنابراین خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «چون فکر می‌کنی که مثل خدا خردمند هستی،

⁷Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

⁷ در نتیجه بیگانگان، یعنی بی‌رحم‌ترین ملّتها را علیه تو خواهم آورد. ایشان علیه زیبایی و دانش تو شمشیر از نیام بیرون خواهند کشید و شکوه تو را آلوده خواهند ساخت.

⁸They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.

⁸ تو را به گوادال خواهند افکند و با مرگ خشونت‌آمیزی در قلب دریاها خواهی مُرد.

⁹Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.

⁹ آیا هنوز در حضور کسانی‌که تو را می‌کشند، خواهی گفت: من خدا هستم؟ در حالی که در دست کسانی‌که تو را مجروح می‌کنند، فقط انسان هستی.

¹⁰Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

¹⁰ تو به خواری به دست بیگانگان خواهی مُرد. من، خداوند متعال چنین گفته‌ام.»

¹¹Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

¹¹ کلام خداوند به من فرمود:

¹²Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

¹² «ای انسان فانی، سوگنامه‌ای برای پادشاه صور بخوان و به او بگو خداوند متعال چنین می‌فرماید: زمانی تو نمونهٔ کمال بودی، چه خردمند و زیبا بودی.

¹³Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

¹³ در عدن، در باغ خدا زندگی می‌کردی و خود را با انواع سنگهای گرانبها، چون عقیق قرمز، یاقوت زرد، الماس، فیروزه، یاقوت کبود، یشم، یاقوت قرمز و زمرّد می‌پوشاندی و با طلا می‌آراستی. آنها در روزی که آفریده شدی برای تو ساخته شدند.

¹⁴Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

¹⁴ من فرشتهٔ برگزیدهٔ را محافظ تو گذاشتم. تو در کوه مقدّس خدا بودی و در میان سنگهای آتشین قدم برمی‌داشتی.

¹⁵Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

¹⁵ از روزی که آفریده شدی، روش تو کامل بود تا زمانی که پلیدی در تو یافت شد.

¹⁶By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

¹⁶ در فراوانی داد و ستد پر از خشونت بودی و گناه ورزیدی، پس تو را مثل چیز آلوده‌ای از کوه خدا بیرون افکندم و فرشتهٔ محافظ، تو را از میان سنگهای آتشین بیرون کرد.

¹⁷Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

¹⁷ دل تو به‌خاطر زیبایی‌ات مغرور گردید و دانش خود را به سبب شکوه خود فاسد کردی. من تو را به زمین افکندم تا هشداری برای پادشاهان دیگر باشی.

¹⁸Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

¹⁸ در داد و ستد خود چنان ناراست بودی که معابد خود را آلوده ساختی؛ پس آتش از میان تو بیرون آوردم، تو را سوزاندم و تو را در برابر چشم همهٔ کسانی‌که می‌دیدند در روی زمین به خاکستر تبدیل کردم.

¹⁹All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

¹⁹ همهٔ کسانی‌که تو را می‌شناختند، ترسان شدند. تو به پایان دهشتناکی دچار شدی و دیگر هرگز وجود نخواهی داشت.»

²⁰Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

²⁰ کلام خداوند به من فرمود:

²¹Son of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophesy against it,

²¹ «ای انسان فانی، به سوی صیدون بنگر و علیه آن نبوّت کن

²²And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.

²² و بگو خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: هان ای صیدون، من علیه تو هستم و شکوه خود را در میان تو آشکار خواهم ساخت و ایشان هنگامی‌که حکم خود را به اجرا بگذارم و قدّوسیّت خود را در آن آشکار سازم، خواهند دانست که من خداوند هستم.

²³For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

²³ من بیماری بر تو خواهم فرستاد و در خیابانهای تو خون جاری خواهم کرد. از هر سو به تو یورش خواهند آورد و مردم تو کشته خواهند شد. آنگاه خواهی دانست که من خداوند هستم.»

²⁴And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

²⁴ قوم اسرائیل دیگر در میان همهٔ همسایگان خود که با او به خواری رفتار کردند، خاری نخواهد دید که او را آزار دهد. آنگاه ایشان خواهند دانست که من، خداوند متعال هستم.

²⁵Thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.

²⁵ خداوند متعال چنین ‌فرمود: «هنگامی‌که قوم اسرائیل را از میان مردمی که پراکنده شده‌اند، گرد آورم و در برابر چشم ملّتها قدّوسیّت خود را به ایشان آشکار سازم، آنگاه در سرزمین خود که به بنده‌ام یعقوب دادم، زیست خواهند کرد. ایشان در آنجا در امنیّت زندگی خواهند کرد و خانه خواهند ساخت و تاکستانها خواهند کاشت. من همهٔ همسایگانی را که با خواری با ایشان رفتار کردند، مجازات خواهم کرد. آنگاه خواهند دانست که من، خداوند متعال ایشان هستم.»

²⁶And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.

²⁶ ایشان در آنجا در امنیّت زندگی خواهند کرد و خانه خواهند ساخت و تاکستانها خواهند کاشت. من همهٔ همسایگانی را که با خواری با ایشان رفتار کردند، مجازات خواهم کرد. آنگاه خواهند دانست که من، خداوند متعال ایشان هستم.»
