¹Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

¹ ‌خوشا به حال کسی‌که با شریران مشورت نمی‌کند و به راه گناهکاران نمی‌رود و با مسخره‌کنندگان همنشین نمی‌شود،

²But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

² بلکه خوشی او اطاعت از شریعت خداوند است و شب و روز به دستورات او می‌اندیشد.

³And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

³ او مانند درختی است که در کنار نهر آب کاشته شده باشد، میوهٔ خود را در موسمش می‌دهد و برگهایش پژمرده نمی‌گردد و در همهٔ کارهای خود موفّق است.

⁴The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

⁴ امّا شریران چنین نیستند. بلکه آنان مانند کاهی هستند که باد آنها را پراکنده می‌سازد.

⁵Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

⁵ بنابراین شریران در روز داوری محکوم خواهند گردید و در جمع ایمانداران نخواهند ایستاد. خداوند راهنما و حافظ نیكوکاران است امّا عاقبت بدکاران هلاکت و نابودی است.

⁶For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
