¹Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

¹ ای خداوند، به درگاه تو دعا می‌کنم.

²O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

² ای خدای من، به تو توکّل دارم. نگذار که شرمنده شوم و دشمنانم خوشحال گردند.

³Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

³ آری، کسانی‌که به تو امیدوارند، هرگز شرمنده نمی‌شوند، امّا خیانتکاران، شرمنده خواهند شد.

⁴Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

⁴ خداوندا، راه خود را به من نشان بده و آن را به من بیاموز.

⁵Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

⁵ مرا به حقیقت خود رهبری نما، چون تو خدای نجات‌دهندهٔ من هستی و من بر تو توکّل دارم.

⁶Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

⁶ خداوندا، لطف و رحمت بی‌کران خود را که از ابتدا نشان داده‌ای، به یاد آور.

⁷Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.

⁷ گناهان زمان جوانی و خطاهای مرا به یاد میاور. بلکه ای خداوند، به‌خاطر محبّت استوار خود، مرا به یاد آور.

⁸Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

⁸ خداوند، نیکو و عادل است، بنابراین گناهکاران را به راه راست هدایت می‌کند.

⁹The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

⁹ او فروتنان را به کارهای نیک هدایت می‌کند، و راه خود را به آنها تعلیم می‌دهد.

¹⁰All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

¹⁰ تمام راههای خداوند، برای کسانی‌که اوامر او را اطاعت می‌کنند و به پیمان او وفادارند، رحمت و راستی است.

¹¹For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

¹¹ ای خداوند، به‌خاطر نام خود، گناهان عظیم مرا بیامرز.

¹²What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

¹² کسانی‌که برای خداوند احترام قائلند راهی را که باید بروند، از او خواهند آموخت.

¹³His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

¹³ ایشان پیوسته کامیاب خواهند بود و فرزندانشان صاحب زمین خواهند شد.

¹⁴The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

¹⁴ خداوند دوست کسانی است که از او اطاعت می‌کنند، او پیمان خود را برای آنان بیان می‌کند.

¹⁵Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

¹⁵ من همیشه از خداوند انتظار کمک دارم، او مرا از خطر می‌رهاند.

¹⁶Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

¹⁶ خداوندا، به من توجّه نموده و بر من رحمت فرما زیرا که تنها و درمانده شده‌ام.

¹⁷The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.

¹⁷ مرا از نگرانی‌هایم آزاد کن و از مشکلاتم برهان.

¹⁸Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

¹⁸ به غمها و دردهایم توجّه فرما و گناهانم را ببخش.

¹⁹Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

¹⁹ ببین که دشمنانم چقدر زیادند، و چقدر از من نفرت دارند.

²⁰O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

²⁰ جان مرا در پناه خود حفظ کن و مرا رهایی ده، مگذار که شرمنده شوم، زیرا که به تو پناه آورده‌ام.

²¹Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

²¹ نیکوکاری و راستیِ من، مرا محافظت خواهند کرد، زیرا که بر تو توکّل دارم. خدایا، بنی‌اسرائیل را از همهٔ سختی‌ها برهان!

²²Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
