¹In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

¹ خداوندا، به تو پناه می‌آورم، شرمسارم مکن. تو خدای عادل هستی، پس مرا نجات بده.

²Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.

² دعایم را مستجاب فرما و هرچه زودتر نجاتم ده. پُشت و پناه من باش؛ و با قدرت خود مرا برهان.

³For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.

³ تو پناهگاه و پشتیبان من هستی. به‌خاطر نام خود راهنمای من باش و هدایتم کن.

⁴Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.

⁴ مرا از دامی که برایم گسترده‌اند برهان، زیرا تو پناهگاه من هستی.

⁵Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

⁵ ای خدای عادل، روح خود را به تو می‌سپارم، تو مرا نجات داده‌ای.

⁶I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.

⁶ از بت‌پرستان نفرت داری، امّا من، ای خداوند، به تو ایمان دارم.

⁷I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;

⁷ به‌خاطر رحمت پایدار تو شادی و خوشی می‌کنم. تو سختی‌های مرا دیده‌ای و از مشکلاتم آگاهی.

⁸And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.

⁸ مرا به دست دشمنانم نسپردی، تو مرا آزاد گذاشتی تا هر کجا که بخواهم بروم.

⁹Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

⁹ خداوندا، بر من رحم کن، زیرا در سختی هستم. چشمانم از غصّه تار گردیده و از پا افتاده‌‌ام.

¹⁰For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

¹⁰ عمرم در غم گذشته و سالهای زندگی را با حسرت طی کرده‌ام. توانایی خود را از دست داده‌ و استخوانهایم پوسیده‌اند.

¹¹I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.

¹¹ همهٔ دشمنانم، به خصوص همسایگانم مرا تحقیر می‌کنند، آشنایانم از من می‌ترسند و وقتی مرا در کوچه می‌بینند، می‌گریزند.

¹²I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

¹² مثل مُرده‌ها از خاطره‌ها فراموش شده‌ام و مانند ظرفی شکسته از نظر افتاده‌‌ام.

¹³For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

¹³ شایعات زیادی را که دشمنانم برضد من می‌گویند، می‌شنوم. وحشت اطرافم را فراگرفته آنها برضد من دسیسه می‌چینند تا مرا به قتل برسانند.

¹⁴But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.

¹⁴ امّا ای خداوند، من بر تو اعتماد دارم و می‌گویم: «تو خدای من هستی.»

¹⁵My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

¹⁵ زندگی من در دست توست، مرا از دست دشمنانم و کسانی‌که مرا می‌آزارند، برهان.

¹⁶Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake.

¹⁶ چشم این بنده‌ات را به نور جمالت روشن کن و با رحمت پایدارت مرا نجات بده.

¹⁷Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.

¹⁷ خداوندا، از تو تمنّا می‌کنم که مرا خجل نسازی، بلکه بگذار مردمان شریر، شرمنده و سرافکنده شوند و خاموش به دیار مردگان بروند.

¹⁸Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

¹⁸ خاموش ساز آنانی را که دروغ می‌گویند و از روی تکبّر و حماقت علیه مردمان نیک حرف می‌زنند.

¹⁹Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

¹⁹ رحمت تو بر ترسندگانت چه نیکوست؛ همه می‌دانند که تو چقدر نیکو‌یی و آنهایی را که به تو توکّل می‌کنند حمایت می‌کنی.

²⁰Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

²⁰ آنها را زیر سایهٔ رحمت خود از دسیسه و حیلهٔ مردم حفظ می‌کنی و در نزد خود پناه می‌دهی.

²¹Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.

²¹ خداوند را ستایش می‌کنم، زیرا زمانی‌که در محاصرهٔ دشمنان بودم، محبّت سرشار خود را به من نشان داد.

²²For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

²² من می‌ترسیدم و فکر می‌کردم که او مرا از نظر انداخته است، امّا وقتی از او کمک خواستم، دعایم را مستجاب کرد.

²³O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

²³ ای مؤمنین او، خداوند را دوست بدارید، زیرا خداوند مؤمنین را حفظ می‌کند، امّا متکبّران را به سزای كارهایشان می‌رساند. ای کسانی‌که امیدتان به خداست، شجاع و قوی باشید.

²⁴Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

²⁴ ای کسانی‌که امیدتان به خداست، شجاع و قوی باشید.
