¹Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

¹ خوشا به حال کسانی‌که گناهانشان آمرزیده و خطاهایشان بخشیده شده است.

²Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

² خوشا به حال کسی‌که خداوند او را مجرم نشمارد و کسی‌که در او مکر و حیله‌ای نیست.

³When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

³ هنگامی‌که گناهان خود را اعتراف نمی‌کردم، تمام روز از ناله و زاری از بین می‌رفتم.

⁴For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

⁴ خداوندا، تو شب و روز مرا تنبیه می‌کردی. قدرت خود را کاملاً از دست داده بودم، همان‌گونه که رطوبت در گرمای تابستان، خشک می‌شود

⁵I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

⁵ سپس گناهان خود را نزد تو اعتراف نمودم و خطاهای خود را پنهان نساختم و گفتم: «من در حضور خداوند به گناهان خود اعتراف می‌کنم.» آنگاه تو گناهان مرا بخشیدی.

⁶For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

⁶ پس هر شخص وفادار باید در وقت سختی و مشکلات به حضور خداوند دعا کند تا اگر سیلاب سختی‌ها طغیان كند به او صدمه‌ای نرساند.

⁷Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

⁷ تو پناهگاه من هستی و مرا از مشکلات نجات می‌دهی، با آواز بلند خواهم سرایید زیرا تو مرا حمایت کرده‌ای.

⁸I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

⁸ خداوند می‌فرماید: «من راهی را که باید بروی به تو خواهم آموخت و تو را هدایت خواهم کرد.

⁹Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

⁹ مانند اسب و قاطر، نادان و بی‌شعور نباشید که با افسار و لگام هدایت می‌شوند و مطیع می‌گردند.»

¹⁰Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

¹⁰ مردمان شریر در رنج و عذاب می‌باشند، امّا کسانی‌که به خداوند توکّل دارند از محبّت بی‌پایان او برخوردار می‌شوند. ای نیکوکاران به‌خاطر آنچه خداوند انجام داده است، شادی نمایید. ای کسانی‌که مطیع او هستید، شادمان باشید.

¹¹Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
